Blue Jackets' Danton Heinen: Secures first point with new team
Heinen posted an assist and two hits in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Mammoth.
Heinen has played in five of six games since he was called up from AHL Cleveland following a December trade with the Penguins. The helper was Heinen's first point as a Blue Jacket, giving him three points, 19 shots on net, 25 hits, 13 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over 18 appearances season. The 30-year-old will compete with Mikael Pyyhtia and Zach Aston-Reese for fourth-line minutes.

Blue Jackets' Adam Fantilli: Pockets power-play helper
Fantilli notched a power-play assist, three shots on goal, three hits and a minus-2 rating in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Mammoth.
Fantilli has lacked the finishing touch for a few weeks, but his helper Sunday was his sixth over the last 12 games. The 21-year-old center is seeing steady top-six minutes and has 32 shots on net during his goal drought, so it's only a matter of time before his luck turns around. For the season, he's up to 28 points (five on the power play), 120 shots on net, 53 hits, 29 blocked shots and a minus-13 rating over 45 appearances.

Blue Jackets' Kirill Marchenko: Earns pair of power-play assists
Marchenko notched two power-play assists, four shots on goal, two blocked shots and a minus-2 rating in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Mammoth.
Marchenko had a hand in the tying goal by Charlie Coyle and the game-winner by Dmitri Voronkov. Through six outings in January, Marchenko has picked up two goals and four assists, continuing a hot stretch that started in late December. The winger is up to a total of 16 goals, 21 helpers, 13 power-play points, 131 shots on net, 34 hits, 26 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 41 contests this season.

Blue Jackets' Mikael Pyyhtia: Tallies first NHL goal of season
Pyyhtia scored a goal on three shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Mammoth.
This was Pyyhtia's third game with the Blue Jackets this season, and the goal was his first point so far. The forward has added five shots on net, two blocked shots and a minus-1 rating while logging fourth-line minutes. Pyyhtia posted 22 points over 23 outings with AHL Cleveland prior to this call-up, though he'll likely have to compete with Danton Heinen and Zach Aston-Reese while with the big club.

Blue Jackets' Charlie Coyle: Nets power-play tally
Coyle scored a power-play goal on three shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Mammoth.
Coyle snapped a five-game point drought with the goal. The 33-year-old has seen steady usage as a middle-six center this season, and he's also commanding a spot on the first power-play unit. That assignment is where he's earned four of his 26 points this season, though his goal Sunday was his first with the man advantage. He's at seven tallies, 19 helpers, 64 shots on net, 64 hits, 27 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 45 appearances.

Blue Jackets' Dmitri Voronkov: Cashes in on power play in overtime
Voronkov scored a power-play goal on three shots, added two PIM, logged two hits and blocked two shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Mammoth.
Voronkov had gone a couple of games without a point before breaking the short slump at a great time. He scored 1:01 into the extra session to secure the win for Columbus with his 16th goal -- and first game-winner -- of the season. The 25-year-old is up to 29 points, 90 shots on net, 51 PIM, 72 hits, 20 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 45 appearances. He's still playing in a third-line role, so his usage will be important to monitor for those fantasy managers who want to benefit from his all-around upside.

Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Gets back in win column
Greaves stopped 25 of 27 shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Mammoth.
Greaves had lost four of his last five outings, but a breather Saturday appears to have done him some good. He limited the Mammoth to two goals, scored 4:42 apart between the late first period and early second frame. All of Greaves' last five wins have come when he limits an opponent to two goals or fewer. The 24-year-old netminder is up to 13-12-6 with a 2.71 GAA and a .908 save percentage over 31 appearances this season. He should still see a majority of the starts over Elvis Merzlikins, but it will be important for the Blue Jackets to build in some rest for Greaves to keep his performance on track. The team's next game is at home Tuesday versus the Flames.

Blue Jackets' Denton Mateychuk: Set to be evaluated Monday
Head coach Dean Evason said after Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Mammoth that Mateychuk (upper body) will be evaluated Monday, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.
Mateychuk played just one shift during Sunday's victory before exiting the game. If the left-shot blueliner is sidelined for Tuesday's home matchup against the Flames, Jake Christiansen will draw back into the lineup.

Blue Jackets' Denton Mateychuk: Status in question
Mateychuk (upper body) is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Mammoth.
Mateychuk sustained his upper-body injury in the opening frame of Sunday's game in Utah. If the 2022 first-round pick is unable to return, Egor Zamula will probably receive an uptick in work on the blue line.

Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Getting start Sunday
Greaves will start Sunday's contest against the Mammoth, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.
After getting both ends of the Blue Jackets' previous two back-to-backs, Greaves got the front end of this back-to-back off Saturday, snapping a streak of eight consecutive starts. The last three haven't gone too well, as he allowed 13 goals and took the loss in each. The 24-year-old has a 12-12-6 record, a 2.74 GAA and a .907 save percentage on the season. The Mammoth enter play Sunday having won three straight games and scored three goals or more in all three.

Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Gets no help in Colorado
Merzlikins turned aside 27 shots in Saturday's 4-0 loss to the Avalanche.
The Blue Jackets' skaters left their offense on the plane in Colorado, giving Merzlikins no margin for error. The 31-year-old netminder was making his first start since Dec. 20, and while he didn't allow any soft goals, this performance won't be enough to loosen Jet Greaves' hammerlock on the starting job for Columbus. On the season, Merzlikins is 6-7-1 in 15 outings with a rough 4.03 GAA and .877 save percentage.

Blue Jackets' William Whitelaw: Three-point effort in WMU win
Whitelaw scored twice and added an assist in Western Michigan University's 6-2 win over the University of Denver on Saturday.
Whitelaw is really on a tear with six points over his last five outings. The winger has 14 goals and nine assists across 22 appearances this season, which is already career-best production just over halfway through the campaign. The Blue Jackets prospect should continue to be a key part of the Broncos' offense as they try to position themselves for a run at a National Championship.

Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Expected starter for Saturday
Merzlikins is expected to start on the road against Colorado on Saturday, per Aaron Portzline of The Athletic.
Merzlikins has struggled this campaign with a 6-6-1 record, 4.03 GAA and .877 save percentage in 14 appearances. His last start was Dec. 20, and he's allowed at least three goals in each of his past 11 appearances. The Avalanche are a tough assignment, as they rank first in goals per game with 4.05. They did lose back-to-back games Sunday and Tuesday against Florida and Tampa Bay, respectively, but the Avalanche rebounded with an 8-2 victory over Ottawa on Thursday.

Blue Jackets' Jake Christiansen: Pushed out of lineup
Christiansen was scratched in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Golden Knights.
Christiansen had played in the previous seven games, logging two shots on net, five blocked shots and three hits, but he didn't have a point in that span. The 26-year-old received a chance to play regularly when Brendan Smith (knee) exited the lineup, but the Blue Jackets' signing of Egor Zamula has once again forced Christiansen out of the lineup. Over 26 outings this season, Christiansen has just one assist, 18 shots on net, 18 hits, 12 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating, so it's not like fantasy managers will need to track his usage moving forward.

Blue Jackets' Sean Monahan: Provides pair of helpers
Monahan notched two assists in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Golden Knights.
Monahan has three points over two games since he returned from an undisclosed injury. The rest during his four-game absence has likely helped fuel his uptick in production after he battled a nagging injury. The 31-year-old center is now at 22 points, 70 shots on net, 25 hits and a minus-3 rating through 39 contests in 2025-26.
