Top Sam Reinhart News

  • Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Delivers Cup with four-goal game

Reinhart scored four goals Tuesday in a 5-1 win over the Oilers in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Reinhart's four goals tied the record for most in a Stanley Cup Final game, and he became the second player in NHL history with four goals in a Cup-clinching win. It was also his first career playoff hat trick. Reinhart turned up the heat in the last four games, ripping off a four-game goal streak (seven) that included 10 points. The 29-year-old finished in a three-way tie for the team lead in points with 23. Reinhart also tied for second in postseason goals this year with 11. He finished behind Conn Smythe winner Sam Bennett, who recorded 15 playoff markers.

  • Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Tallies in Game 5 victory

Reinhart scored a goal and added two PIM in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Oilers in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Reinhart has scored in three straight games after being held off the scoresheet in consecutive contests to open this series. The 29-year-old's tally restored a three-goal lead for the Panthers just 46 seconds after Connor McDavid got the Oilers on the board. Reinhart is up to seven goals, 19 points, 59 shots on net, 37 hits, 23 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating across 20 playoff appearances in a top-line role.

  • Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Forces overtime in Game 4

Reinhart scored a goal on four shots, added two assists and blocked two shots in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Reinhart earned both helpers, including one on the power play, during a three-goal first period. His goal was clutch, tying the game at 4-4 at 19:40 of the third, but the Panthers came up short in the extra session. This was Reinhart's second multi-point effort in a row and his third in the last five games. He's up to six goals, 12 helpers, 58 shots on net, 36 hits, 22 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 19 playoff outings while occupying a top-line role.

  • Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Dishes two helpers in return

Reinhart logged two assists, three hits and two blocked shots in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Hurricanes in Game 5.

Reinhart missed the previous two games due to a lower-body injury. He looks to be as close to 100 percent as any player is at this time of the campaign, as he logged 21:37 in his return to the lineup. The 29-year-old winger is up to four goals, nine helpers, 41 shots on net, 33 hits, 14 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating over 15 playoff appearances. He'll have a bit of time to recuperate before the Panthers look to complete their title defense in the Stanley Cup Finals.

  • Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Good to return Wednesday

Reinhart (lower body) is expected to play in Game 5 versus Carolina on Wednesday, Eric Engels of Sportsnet reports.

Reinhart missed two games because of the injury. He has four goals and 11 points across 14 playoff outings in 2024-25. Jesper Boqvist will probably shift off the top line due to the return of Reinhart.

  • Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Questionable for Wednesday

Reinhart (lower body) participated in Tuesday's optional practice but remains questionable for Game 5 against Carolina on Wednesday, George Richards of NHL.com reports.

Reinhart has missed Florida's last two games and remains day-to-day after skating for the first time since leaving Game 2 versus the Hurricanes last Thursday. He has produced four goals, 11 points, 41 shots on net, 12 blocked shots and 30 hits across 14 appearances this postseason. Niko Mikkola (upper body) and A.J. Greer (undisclosed) also took part in Tuesday's practice after sitting out Monday's 3-0 loss to Carolina in Game 4. The Panthers will determine if any of the injured players can return in Game 5 after Wednesday's morning skate.

  • Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Ruled out against Canes

Reinhart (lower body) will miss Game 4 versus Carolina on Monday, Eric Engels of Sportsnet reports.

Prior to missing Game 3, Reinhart was struggling offensively with just three points in his last six outings while also registering a mere two shots in his last four contests. Both Evan Rodrigues and Jesper Boqvist will continue to serve in top-six roles while Reinhart is unavailable. Reinhart would certainly benefit from some extra time off if his teammates can finalize the sweep over Carolina.

  • Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Status for Game 4 unclear

According to George Richards of Florida Hockey Now, Reinhart (lower body) appears doubtful to play in Game 4 against Carolina on Monday.

The Panthers expect to know more about Reinhart's availability for Game 4 after Monday's morning skate. The 29-year-old forward sat out Saturday's 6-2 win over the Hurricanes in Game 3. He has produced four goals, 11 points, 41 shots on net, 12 blocked shots and 30 hits across 14 appearances this postseason. If Reinhart remains unavailable to play Monday, Jesper Boqvist will probably skate on the top line again.

  • Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Ruled out for Game 3

Reinhart (lower body) will not play in Saturday's Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Hurricanes, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.

Reinhart left Thursday's Game 2 after taking a hit from Carolina's Sebastian Aho, and after one more shift, he did not return. The 29-year-old Reinhart is day-to-day and will miss at least one game. He has been productive in the postseason, collecting four goals and seven assists in 13 appearances. With Reinhart out, Jesper Boqvist will skate on the top line alongside Aleksander Barkov and Evan Rodrigues.

  • Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Status for Game 3 pending

Per Michael Russo of The Athletic, Reinhart (lower body) will see doctors Friday and his status for Game 3 versus Carolina will be updated Saturday, according to head coach Paul Maurice.

Reinhart left Thursday's tilt in Carolina after taking a hip check from Sebastian Aho in the opening stanza. He played one more shift late in the period and did not return. Reinhart was replaced on the top line by Tomas Nosek, and Nosek could see plenty of time on the top line with Aleksander Barkov and Evan Rodrigues should Reinhart sit out Game 3 in Florida. Reinhart has four goals and seven assists across 14 playoff appearances.

  • Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Sustains lower-body injury

Reinhart won't return to Thursday's game against Carolina due to a lower-body injury.

Reinhart was presumably hurt on what appeared to be a hip check from Sebastian Aho, per Dan Rosen of NHL.com. Reinhart attempted to come out for one shift after that before exiting the game for good. He had no points and one hit across 5:37 of ice time Thursday, which gives him four goals and 11 points in 14 playoff appearances this year.

  • Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Scores off faceoff win

Reinhart scored a goal, added four hits, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Sunday's 6-1 win over the Maple Leafs in Game 7.

A quick faceoff win by Aleksander Barkov left Reinhart with space to shoot, and Reinhart's shot was true to give the Panthers a 5-1 lead midway through the third period. The 29-year-old winger earned five points over the last five games of the second round. Overall, he's at four goals, 11 points, 41 shots on net, 27 hits, 11 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating across 12 playoff outings in a top-line role.
