Top Packers News

  • Packers' Aaron Banks: Limited in practice Thursday

Banks (neck) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice session.

The starting left guard exited Sunday's loss to the Panthers with a stinger, and he still appears to be dealing with the issue. Banks will have two more chances to get in a full practice ahead of Monday's matchup with the Eagles.

  • Packers' Zach Tom: Limited to open week

Tom (back) was a limited participant in practice Thursday.

The starting right tackle will have two more days to get in a full session ahead of Monday's clash with the Eagles, though he was able to play last week despite only getting in limited practice sessions. Tom has started all six games he's played in this season.

  • Packers' Savion Williams: Misses practice Thursday

Williams (foot) did not participate at practice Thursday.

Williams caught both of his targets for 12 yards and failed to gain a yard on his only carry while also losing a fumble in the team's 16-13 loss to the Panthers in Week 9. The wide receiver may have picked up a foot injury in the process, leaving his status for Week 10 uncertain. Williams will have two more chances to return to practice prior to Monday night's matchup with the Eagles.

  • Packers' Edgerrin Cooper: Limited to open week

Cooper (foot) was a limited participant at practice Thursday.

Cooper popped up on the injury report with an apparent foot issue to open the week. The linebacker was able to play the entirety of the team's 16-13 loss to the Panthers in Week 9, compiling eight total tackles (three solo). Cooper will have two more opportunities to log a full session before Monday night's contest against the Eagles.

  • Packers' Quay Walker: Limited practice Thursday

Walker (calf) was a limited participant at practice Thursday.

Walker was able to play through a calf injury in Week 9, recording seven total tackles (two solo) in the team's 16-13 loss to the Panthers. The linebacker will have two more chances to log a full practice before the Eagles come to town for Monday Night Football.

  • Packers' Micah Parsons: Limited to open week

Parsons (pectoral) was a limited participant at practice Thursday.

Parsons popped up on the injury report with an apparent pectoral issue to open the week, but his ability to practice in a limited capacity seems to suggest that the injury is minor. He will have two more chances to log a full practice prior to Monday night's matchup with Philadelphia.

  • Packers' Colby Wooden: Limited to open week

Wooden (shoulder) was a limited participant at practice Thursday.

Wooden suffered a shoulder injury in the first half of the team's 16-13 loss to the Panthers in Week 9, ultimately failing to return to the game. The defensive tackle will have two more chances to log a full practice before Monday night's contest against the Eagles.

  • Packers' Nate Hobbs: Absent from practice

Hobbs (knee) did not participate at practice Thursday.

Hobbs was unable to practice to open the week, which comes as no surprise after head coach Matt LaFleur said Monday that the cornerback is expected to miss at least two games while recovering from a Grade 1 MCL sprain. In his absence, Carrington Valentine will continue to handle the lion's share of snaps opposite Keisean Nixon in Green Bay's secondary.

  • Packers' Brandon McManus: Logs full practice Thursday

McManus (right quadriceps) was a full practice participant Thursday.

Three days removed from coach Matt LaFleur giving McManus a vote of confidence as the Packers' placekicker, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, McManus had no practice limitations for the first time since tweaking his right quad during Week 6 prep. Since sitting out Weeks 6 and 7, McManus hasn't exactly been crisp, making four of seven field-goal attempts and all four point-after tries. The Packers still have two kickers on their active roster -- also, Lucas Havrisik -- but it appears McManus will log a third consecutive appearance Monday against the Eagles.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Remains limited by knee

Watson (knee) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Watson was joined by fellow WRs Matthew Golden (shoulder) and Dontayvion Wicks (calf) as limited, while Savion Williams wasn't able to practice at all to begin Week 10 prep due to a foot injury. Watson's restrictions Thursday likely are related to maintenance of the right knee that suffered a torn ACL in Week 18 of last season, but in his two appearances during the 2025 campaign since being cleared to play, he's struck for six catches (on eight targets) for 143 yards and no touchdowns. Watson will have two more chances to practice fully this week before the Packers potentially tag him with a designation ahead of Monday's contest against the Eagles.

  • Packers' Lukas Van Ness: Absent from practice Thursday

Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Van Ness (foot) is not participating in Thursday's practice, Wes Hodkiewicz of the team's official site reports.

Van Ness has missed three consecutive games due to a lingering foot injury, and the 2023 first-round pick hasn't been able to practice in any capacity in that span. If Van Ness is unable to retake the field in time to suit up at home against the Eagles on Monday, expanded defensive reps will continue going to Kingsley Enagbare and rookie fourth-rounder Barryn Sorrell.

  • Packers' Matthew Golden: Slated for limited practice

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that Golden (shoulder) will be a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.

Golden was forced out of his past Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Panthers due to a shoulder injury, but his ability to practice in some capacity to begin Week 10 prep suggests his health concern isn't a major one. Along with Golden, Dontayvion Wicks (calf) -- who missed the Packers' last two games -- will be limited Thursday, but if both are able to advance to full participation by the end of the week, Green Bay could have all of its key wide receivers available for the first time this season in Monday's game against the Eagles. Christian Watson had previously sat out Green Bay's first six games while completing his recovery from an ACL tear, but he returned to action Week 8.

  • Packers' MarShawn Lloyd: Improving, but return date TBD

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that Lloyd (hamstring) recently headed to the West Coast to continue his rehab program, but the running back is without a clear timeline to return from injured reserve, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

LaFleur noted that Lloyd headed out West to "get his body right" and added that the "results were promising," but he didn't expand much further on the second-year running back's outlook. At this stage, Lloyd doesn't look to be especially close to practicing, making it likely that his absence extends into late November, if not December. A third-round draft pick in 2024, Lloyd has appeared in just one game thus far during his time with the Packers, as he missed the majority of his rookie season while recovering from hamstring and ankle injuries as well as an emergency appendectomy.

  • Packers' Dontayvion Wicks: Set for limited practice

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that Wicks (calf) will be a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

After tweaking his calf in the Packers' Week 7 win over the Cardinals, Wicks sat out both of Green Bay's subsequent two games while not practicing in any fashion ahead of either contest. The third-year wideout's ability to take the field in a limited capacity as the Packers begin Week 10 prep thus amounts to progress, though Wicks may still need to upgrade to full participation by Saturday in order to gain clearance for Monday's game against the Eagles. Wicks could find himself a spot lower in the pecking order at receiver once he returns, as the Packers have since welcomed Christian Watson back from the PUP list while Wicks has been on the mend.
