McKinney recorded six total tackles (five solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's 24-22 win over the Texans.
McKinney continued his stretch of impressive play in Sunday's win, bringing his season totals up to 30 total tackles, including 1.0 sacks, and five interceptions across Green Bay's first seven games. The first-year Packer still leads the NFL in interceptions despite not having recorded a pick in either of his last two contests. With the emergence of 2024 fourth-round pick Evan Williams, the Packers' new and improved safety duo is shaping up to be one of the best in the league. Expect McKinney to continue making plays as Green Bay takes on the Jaguars in Week 8.

Packers' Rashan Gary: Logs sack vs. Texans
Gary recorded five total tackles (one solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's 24-22 win over the Texans.
Gary has had an underwhelming start to the Packers' 2024 campaign, having recorded just 14 total tackles, including 1.0 sacks, and one pass defended before Sunday's win. However, his performance in Week 7 suggests he may be returning to his form from the previous two seasons. Gary is on pace to have just over 36 pressures across 17 regular-season games this year, which would be his lowest total since his rookie season in 2019. Expect the Michigan product to continue serving as Green Bay's top edge rusher again in Week 8, when the Packers travel to Jacksonville.

Packers' Eric Wilson: Monster performance in Week 7
Wilson recorded six total tackles (all solo), including 2.0 sacks and an additional four tackles for loss, and defended one pass in Sunday's 24-22 win over the Texans.
The 30-year-old took full advantage of his increased snaps with Green Bay's first-team defense after Quay Walker left with a concussion in the first quarter of Sunday's win. Wilson has now tallied 20 total tackles, including 2.0 sacks, forced one fumble and nabbed one interception across 126 defensive snaps this season. Don't be surprised if the Cincinnati product begins to see increased work with the Packers' first-team defense even when Walker returns from injury, as Wilson seems to positively impact the game whenever he's on the field.

Packers' Evan Williams: Continues impressive campaign
Williams recorded nine total tackles (six solo) in Sunday's 24-22 win over the Texans.
Williams led the Packers in total tackles once again in Week 7, bringing his season total up to 26 tackles. The 2024 fourth-round pick hasn't looked back since earning his first start in Week 5's win over the Rams, playing 100 percent of the Packers' defensive snaps in two of his last three games. Expect Williams to continue starting alongside Xavier McKinney in what now appears to be one of the best safety duos in the NFL.

Packers' Jonathan Ford: Officially off IR
The Packers activated Ford (calf) to their active roster Monday, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
Ford had missed the Packers' first seven games this season on injured reserve after sustaining a calf injury in late August, but Monday's activation suggests the Miami product has moved past the issue. In a corresponding move, the Packers released long snapper Matthew Orzech.
