  • Colts' Braden Smith: Good to go for training camp

Stephen Holder of ESPN.com reports that Smith (knee) should be ready for the Colts' first practice of training camp Thursday.

Smith underwent surgery in the offseason to fix a knee issue that hampered him throughout the 2023 season. He sat out of the team's offseason workouts, but the 2018 second-round tackle out of Auburn appears to be healthy and ready for the start of training camp.

  • Colts' Chris Lammons: Starting camp on PUP list

The Colts placed Lammons (foot/ankle) on the active/PUP list Wednesday, Stephen Holder of ESPN.com reports.

Lammons did not participate in OTAs and minicamp after undergoing ankle surgery, with general manager Chris Ballard telling reporters Wednesday that the corner is "a week or two away" from being ready, per Paul Bretl of USA Today. Once healthy, Lammons can be activated off the PUP list and participate in practice. He appeared in four regular-season games for the Colts last season, registering six tackles (four solo) and one pass defended while playing 59 snaps on defense and 55 snaps on special teams.

  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: Could start camp limited

General manager Chris Ballard told reporters Wednesday that Dulin (knee) may work in a limited fashion to begin training camp, JJ Stankevitz of the team's official website reports.

Dulin is still recovering from a torn ACL suffered before the Colts' 2023 campaign, so this news comes as no surprise. Once the 27-year-old wideout returns to form, he's expected to compete with Alec Pierce and Anthony Gould for a depth spot in Indianapolis' wide receiver room.

The Colts placed Davis (undisclosed) on the active/non-football illness list Wednesday, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports.

Davis inked a two-year, $14 million deal with the Colts earlier in the offseason, and he'll now have to miss the start of Indianapolis' training camp with an illness. The Alabama product recorded 28 total tackles, including 1.0 sacks, in 17 games with Miami last season, and he's in line to serve as a rotational defensive lineman once he moves past his illness.

Brents is expected to be cleared from his ankle injury in a few days, Stephen Holder of ESPN.com reports.

Brents underwent a clean-up procedure on his ankle earlier this offseason and it appears as if the recovery process is going well. The Kansas State product appeared in nine games as a rookie, recording 42 total tackles and six passes defended, including one interception. Heading into his second season, Brents is expected to remain one of the top cornerbacks in the Colts' secondary.

  • Colts' Tyler Goodson: Could hit PUP list

Goodson (toe) could be placed on Indianapolis' active/PUP list soon, Stephen Holder of ESPN.com reports.

Goodson was getting some first-team reps with Jonathan Taylor missing practice earlier this offseason, but it now appears that he's dealing with a toe issue that could sideline him for the beginning of training camp. The Iowa product will likely be battling with Trey Sermon and Evan Hull for a depth role in Indianapolis' backfield once he returns to full health.
