Allen (hip) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Cleveland, Mia O'Brien of 1010 XL 92.5 FM Jacksonville reports.
Allen missed about three weeks of practice before returning Thursday and Friday as a limited participant. The Jaguars have Ameer Abdullah on hand to fill in as a competent passing-down specialist if Allen isn't active ahead of the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday.

After logging limited practices Wednesday and Thursday while wearing a non-contact jersey, Meyers may be gearing up to play in the opener. It remains to be seen how the Jaguars list him on their final injury report.

Jaguars' Parker Washington: Returning punts for now
Jaguars head coach Liam Coen confirmed Friday that Washington will be the team's primary punt returner to start the season, Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union reports.
Coen also mentioned wanting to give Travis Hunter a shot in the return game, but it sounds like that's more of a project than a right-now possibility. In the meantime, Washington's ample experience on punt returns makes him the clear best choice for a role that's extremely important on a per-snap basis. It's only a few snaps per game, of course, but they are high-risk plays for injuries, and the fantasy payoff in most leagues is unlikely to be more than a six-point splash once per season. The good news for Washington's fantasy managers is that there's plenty of recent history of full-time starting wideouts also handling punt returns, including Antonio Brown and Tyreek Hill. While obviously in a different category athletically, Washington offers considerable breakout appeal after his huge finish to last season.

Jaguars' LeQuint Allen: Limited in return to practice
Allen (hip) was a limited practice participant Thursday.
Allen missed the second half of training camp due to what the Jaguars had previously labeled as a soft-tissue injury before he was listed with a hip issue when the team released its first Week 1 injury report Wednesday. The 22-year-old remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice, but he was able to go through individual drills during the open portion of Thursday's session, per Rachel Phillips of First Coast News. Allen's level of activity was enough for him to get upgraded to limited participation, but he may still need to put in a full practice Friday to have a realistic shot at playing in Sunday's season opener versus the Browns. When available, Allen projects to serve as the Jaguars' top passing-down back, though Bhayshul Tuten and Chris Rodriguez will both be prioritized ahead of him on the ground.
