Raiders' Maxx Crosby: Headed to Baltimore
Las Vegas is trading Crosby (knee) to the Ravens in exchange for 2026 and 2027 first-round draft picks, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Crosby is a five-time Pro Bowler who racked up 69.5 sacks over 110 regular-season games spanning seven seasons with the Raiders. He dealt with a knee injury that required surgery last year and missed the final two weeks of the campaign, but he's expected to be back to full health by the beginning of training camp. Crosby is widely regarded as one of the league's top pass rushers and should immediately boost a Baltimore pass rush that tied for third to last in the NFL with just 30 sacks during the regular season in 2025. The trade can't be processed until next week, per Schefter, but it appears to be fully agreed upon.

Raiders' Geno Smith: Set to be released
Barring a trade, the Raiders will release Smith (ankle) prior to the start of the new league year March 11, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Smith, who is now entering his age-36 season, will depart Las Vegas after just one season with the team, as the Raiders are widely projected to select a new starting quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. After a resurgent three-year stint in Seattle from 2022-24, Smith's inaugural campaign with Las Vegas represented a significant decline, as he completed 67 percent of his passes for just 3,025 yards and a 19:17 TD:INT. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that the Raiders have aggressively worked to manufacture a potential trade for Smith in recent days, but it's likelier the veteran signal-caller draws interest on the free-agent market than in a scenario where suitors have to part with draft capital to acquire him. Smith missed Week 18 due to an ankle issue but does not appear to still be dealing with any injury, given he's been the subject of trade talks.

Raiders' Tristin McCollum: Tendered by Las Vegas
The Raiders placed an exclusive rights free-agent tender on McCollum on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
McCollum is thus on track to stay with the Raiders instead of hitting free agency, remaining in Las Vegas after he compiled 14 total tackles (11 solo) and a pass defensed over 16 regular-season games in 2025. The 26-year-old will likely compete for a top reserve spot behind Isaiah Pola-Mao and Jeremy Chinn (back) at safety in 2026.

Raiders' Will Putnam: Being retained by Las Vegas
The Raiders extended an exclusive rights free agent tender to Putnam on Thursday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Putnam suited up for 15 games, started two and played on 139 offensive snaps in 2025. The 6-foot-4, 301-pounder, who played his college ball at Clemson, originally joined the Raiders as an undrafted free agent in April of 2024.
