Commanders' Austin Ekeler: Set for more work
Ekeler is poised to operate as the team's main running back after Brian Robinson (knee) was ruled out ahead of Sunday's contest.
Typically when a team loses a starting running back to injury it tries to mix and match to replace the production. Ekeler at least has the career pedigree to step in seamlessly as the three-down workhorse, even if he can't replicate Brian Robinson's bludgeoning rushing style. Jeremy McNichols and Chris Rodriguez will likely both spell Ekeler at times, but the longtime Chargers do-it-all back will have an opportunity for a vintage performance against the Ravens, who've allowed the eighth-most receiving yards to opposing running backs through five weeks.

Commanders' Chris Rodriguez: Elevated off practice squad
The Commanders elevated Rodriguez from their practice squad to their active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's Week 6 clash with Baltimore.
Rodriguez was previously elevated ahead of Washington's Week 4 game against Arizona, but he didn't get any offensive snaps in the contest (though he did log six snaps on special teams). His elevation ahead of Week 6 comes as a result of starting tailback Brian Robinson being ruled out for the game due to a knee injury. Rodriguez could thus get some work against the Ravens on Sunday, though he's still behind Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols on the depth chart.

Commanders' Efe Obada: Lifted from reserve/PUP list
The Commanders activated Obada (lower leg) from the reserve/PUP list Saturday.
Obada was placed on the PUP list ahead of Washington's regular-season opener and has been working his way back since. The defensive lineman had his practice window opened Oct. 2 and was able to log a trio of full practice sessions this week, giving him a good chance of returning to action Sunday versus Baltimore. Upon his return, Obada will likely take on a rotational role.

Commanders' Brian Robinson: Downgraded to out
Robinson (knee) was downgraded and is now out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Ravens, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Robinson failed to practice all week, so this isn't all that surprising even considering the running back's well-reported toughness. As a result, Austin Ekeler will take over as the team's starter and should see plenty of work as both a pass catcher and runner. Jeremy McNichols will also chip in, but it's worth noting the Ravens have allowed the fewest yards on the ground to opposing running backs this season.

Commanders' Clelin Ferrell: Ready for Week 6
Ferrell (knee) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Ravens, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Ferrell was able to practice in a limited fashion both Thursday and Friday after logging a DNP to begin the Commanders' week of practice. The 2019 first-round pick has recorded four total tackles, including 2.0 sacks, across two games this season. Expect Ferrell to serve as one of Washington's top edge rushers now that he's past his knee issue.

Commanders' Quan Martin: Ready for Sunday
Martin (neck) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Ravens, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
The second-year pro from Illinois upgraded from limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday to a full practice Friday, suggesting that he's moved past his neck issue in time for Sunday's contest. Expect Martin to start alongside Jeremy Chinn in Washington's secondary in Week 6.

Commanders' Tyler Owens: Out again Sunday
Owens (shin) is out for Sunday's matchup against the Ravens, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Owens will miss hiss second straight game as he navigates his way back from a shin injury. The safety has two tackles (one solo) so far this year as he's served most of his playing time on special teams.

Commanders' Noah Brown: Returning to face Baltimore
Brown (groin) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in Baltimore, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Brown emerged as Washington's No. 2 receiver prior to missing Week 5 with a groin injury, catching exactly three passes in each game Weeks 2-4. It's not likely to be a high-volume role, but the Commanders may be inclined to pass more than usual this weekend, facing a tough Baltimore run defense with RB Brian Robinson (knee) in danger of missing the game. Even so, Brown's volume is hard to project due to the possibility of sharing playing time with Olamide Zaccheaus and/or Dyami Brown.

Commanders' Brian Robinson: Listed as questionable
Robinson (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Baltimore, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Robinson didn't practice at all this week, with coach Dan Quinn saying Friday that the running back will be a game-time decision. Robinson played through the same injury last week, but that was after returning to practice Friday, and he ended up missing the second half after scoring a pair of TDs before halftime in an eventual 34-13 win over Cleveland. His odds of playing appear lower this week, which would mean expanded workloads for Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols if Robinson is deemed inactive before the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

Commanders' Brian Robinson: Headed for game-time decision
Coach Dan Quinn said Friday that Robinson will be a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup with the Ravens, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
The Commanders are giving Robinson a shot to play even though he didn't practice this week. He played through the same injury last week and scored a pair of first-half touchdowns, but he then aggravated his knee and was held out after halftime, leaving Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols in charge of Washington's backfield in a 34-13 win over Cleveland. It'll likely be Ekeler getting the start and McNichols handling a significant role off the bench if Robinson is declared inactive before the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff this Sunday in Baltimore.

Commanders' Brian Robinson: Not seen at practice
Robinson (knee) doesn't appear to be practicing Friday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
A third straight missed practice suggests he's unlikely to play Sunday at Baltimore. Robinson played through the same injury last week and scored a pair of first-half touchdowns, but he seemed to aggravate his knee along the way and was held out after halftime, leaving Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols in charge of Washington's backfield in a 34-13 win over Cleveland.

Commanders' Clelin Ferrell: Limited participant Thursday
Ferrell (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Ferrell has missed the last three games for the Commanders with a lingering knee injury, but he could make his return this week as he inches towards a full practice. The defensive end's chances of suiting up in Sunday's Week 6 matchup against the Ravens should become clearer after Friday's practice.

Commanders' Noah Brown: Limited in practice
Brown (groin) was a limited practice participant Thursday.
Brown has been limited in back-to-back practices after missing Sunday's 34-13 win over Cleveland. An absence this Sunday at Baltimore would give Dyami Brown and Olamide Zaccheaus another shot at extra playing time, likely sharing the No. 2 WR role again. Terry McLaurin remains the runaway No. 1 receiver, and Luke McCaffrey's role as the No. 3 has been fairly steady.
