Saints' Kendre Miller: Activated off IR
Miller (hamstring) was activated off injured reserve Saturday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports. The second-year back still remains questionable for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.
Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football in a second report suggested Miller likely won't see a significant role right out of the gate, which makes sense given the young back's history of injuries throughout his career. Expect Alvin Kamara to be the main focal point on offense with rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler making his first career start in replace of the injured Derek Carr (oblique).

Saints' Derek Carr: Officially ruled out for Week 6
Carr (oblique) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.
Carr sustained a left oblique strain in the fourth quarter of this past Monday's loss at Kansas City. After undergoing an MRI on Tuesday, he received a prognosis of multiple weeks, and while an IR stint isn't considered likely, per coach Dennis Allen, this weekend Carr will miss the first of what will likely be numerous games. The Saints are rolling with rookie fifth-round pick Spencer Rattler at quarterback Sunday and perhaps for as long as Carr is sidelined.

Saints' Will Harris: Missing Week 6
Harris (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Buccaneers, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
New Orleans' top strong safety was unable to practice all week after exiting Monday night's loss to the Chiefs with a hamstring issue. With Harris missing his first game of the season, both Jordan Howden and J.T. Gray could see increased snaps alongside Tyrann Mathieu in the Saints' secondary in Week 6.

Saints' Pete Werner: Won't play Sunday
Werner (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Buccaneers, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Werner didn't practice all week after missing the Saints' Week 5 loss to the Chiefs on Monday night due to a hamstring injury, so it's no surprise he won't suit up Sunday. Expect Anfernee Orji or Jaylan Ford to serve as New Orleans' top weakside linebacker with both Werner and Nephi Sewell (knee) out in Week 6.

Saints' Cesar Ruiz: Out again versus Bucs
Ruiz (knee) is inactive for Sunday's matchup versus Tampa Bay, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Ruiz will miss the Saints' Week 6 outing after failing to practice Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The starting right guard's absence should put Landon Young on the front line Sunday.

Saints' Kendre Miller: Questionable for Week 6
Miller (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Miller has been a full participant in each practice since last Friday, so if he's held out again this Sunday it might be a matter of not having a role more so than anything to do with his hamstring. The Saints will need to activate him from injured reserve by 4:00 p.m. ET on Saturday in order for Miller to have a chance to play against the Bucs on Sunday.

Saints' Taysom Hill: Ruled out
Hill (ribs) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Had he been healthy enough to play, Hill might have taken on a larger role than usual with Spencer Rattler filling in for Derek Carr (oblique). As is, Hill's next chance to play is Thursday against the Broncos, with a lack of practice participation this week suggesting he isn't especially likely to be ready on a short week.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Cleared to face Tampa
Kamara (hip/hand) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
The Saints listed Kamara as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice estimate, after he took on a season-high 90 percent snap share in a 26-13 loss to the Chiefs on Monday. He was then a limited practice participant both Thursday and Friday, apparently showing enough to avoid an injury designation for the first start of rookie QB Spencer Rattler's career. The Saints may lean on Kamara even more than usual, especially because Taysom Hill (rib) also is out this week, but the combination of Derek Carr's oblique injury and continued health struggles for the interior offensive line mean it's not the best setup for per-touch efficiency or frequent red-zone visits. The opponent, at least, appears favorable for fantasy production, although Tampa's injury-riddled defense appears somewhat healthier compared to the past few games.

Saints' Rashid Shaheed: Avoids injury designation
Shaheed (hip) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Shaheed was a limited participant Thursday and Friday, after being listed as questionable on Wednesday's practice estimate. Avoiding an injury designation suggests he's expected to occupy his usual role, but that may prove less fruitful for fantasy managers with rookie Spencer Rattler replacing an injured Derek Carr (oblique) under center.

Saints' Taysom Hill: Not practicing
Hill (ribs) didn't practice Thursday.
Hill hasn't practiced since suffering rib fractures during a Week 4 loss at Atlanta, putting him in danger of missing a second straight game. His role may be expanded if he returns before QB Derek Carr (oblique), although that would also mean fewer red-zone visits for the Saints offense unless fill-in quarterback Spencer Rattler is a pleasant surprise. Rattler will start this Sunday against Tampa Bay.

Saints' Rashid Shaheed: Logs limited practice Thursday
Shaheed (hip) was a limited practice participant Thursday, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
Shaheed made a brief appearance at the media-access portion of Thursday's session, but it was enough for him to go down as limited after opening Week 6 prep with a DNP. He told Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football on Thursday that his hip injury is "minor," and he expects to suit up Sunday against the Buccaneers. Nonetheless, Shaheed may enter the weekend with a game designation, something that will be revealed, one way or another, on Friday's practice report.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Officially limited Thursday
Kamara (hip/hand) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
Kamara was absent from Wednesday's walkthrough due to hip and hand injuries, but his return one day later to a capped session bodes well for his status ahead of Sunday's game versus the Buccaneers. In the end, Friday's practice report will reveal whether or not he enters the weekend with a designation.

Saints' Rashid Shaheed: Spotted Thursday
Shaheed (hip) was seen during the team stretch prior to Thursday's practice, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports.
Having said that, Shaheed then left the field, indicating he's poised for a second straight absence to kick off Week 6 prep. His activity level, or lack thereof, will be known once the Saints post their next practice report later Thursday.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Back at practice Thursday
Kamara (hip/hand) was present at Thursday's practice, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Kamara missed the first session of Week 4 prep, something that was replicated to begin this week, but it appears as if Wednesday's absence was more maintenance-related than anything as he tends to hip and hand injuries. Thursday's practice report will reveal how much work he was able to handle.
