Top Cavaliers News

  • Cavaliers' Thomas Bryant: Remains out for Monday

Bryant (calf) is out for Monday's Game 2 of the Eastern Conference first-round series against the Raptors.

Bryant will remain sidelined for his sixth straight game, though head coach Kenny Atkinson did indicate he's trending in the right direction. For now, he can be considered questionable for Game 3 on Thursday.

  • Raptors' Sandro Mamukelashvili: Records eight rebounds Saturday

Mamukelashvili ended with three points (1-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt), eight rebounds, two assists and one steal in 20 minutes during Saturday's 126-113 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Mamukelashvili was quiet on the scoring end in this contest, although he at least made up for it by falling just two rebounds shy of the double-digit mark. With Jakob Poeltl likely to remain at about 20 minutes of playing time in Game 2 on Monday, Mamukelashvili should continue to see a solid role on the second unit.

  • Raptors' Collin Murray-Boyles: Productive in loss Saturday

Murray-Boyles posted 14 points (7-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four rebounds and four assists across 20 minutes during Saturday's 126-113 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Murray-Boyles led the reserve unit by scoring 14 points off an efficient 7-for-8 tally from the field. If Immanuel Quickley (hamstring) remains sidelined for Game 2 on Monday, Murray-Boyles should continue to see additional action while potentially receiving more opportunities on the offensive end.

  • Cavaliers' Evan Mobley: Efficient in Game 1 win

Mobley finished Saturday's 126-113 win over Toronto in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with 17 points (6-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-6 FT), seven rebounds and four assists over 33 minutes.

Mobley scored all of his points through the first three quarters (including eight in the third frame) and finished as the Cavaliers' fourth-leading scorer behind Donovan Mitchell (32 points), Max Strus (24 points) and James Harden (22 points). Mobley didn't record a steal or block during Saturday's win, which is somewhat notable given that he averaged 2.4 stocks per game during the regular season. His presence is felt much more on the defensive side of the floor, striking a nice balance with the offensive firepower that comes from Mitchell and Harden.

  • Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Modest output in Game 1 win

Allen amassed 10 points (5-7 FG, 0-2 FT), seven rebounds and one steal across 28 minutes during Saturday's 126-113 victory over the Raptors in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Allen didn't have the most productive stat line Saturday, but he doesn't need to when he shares the court with the likes of Donovan Mitchell, James Harden and Evan Mobley. Allen is also shaking off some rust after missing 14 of the Cavaliers' last 19 games of the regular season (including the final two games) due to a knee injury.

  • Cavaliers' Max Strus: Erupts for 24 off bench in Game 1

Strus ended with 24 points (8-10 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT) and three rebounds in 24 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 126-113 victory over Toronto in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

It was the best performance of Strus' career in a playoff game, topping the 23 points he produced in Game 2 of last season's second-round exit against the Pacers. Strus has delivered more than 20 points in three of his last eight games dating back to March 27 and drained multiple three-pointers in five of those contests, shooting 43.1 percent from beyond the arc during that stretch.

  • Cavaliers' James Harden: Double-double in Game 1 win

Harden chipped in 22 points (8-18 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, 10 assists and two steals across 33 minutes during Saturday's 126-113 win over Toronto in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

It was the 39th playoff double-double of Harden's career. The veteran guard solidified the Cavaliers' backcourt after being acquired from the Clippers, averaging 20.5 points, 7.7 assists, 4.8 boards, 3.1 threes and 1.3 combined steals and blocks in 26 regular-season games for his new squad, and Harden seems very comfortable playing second fiddle to Donovan Mitchell in the Cleveland offense.

  • Raptors' Jamal Shead: Drains five treys in Game 1 start

Shead totaled 17 points (6-11 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 0-1 FT), one rebound and two assists over 28 minutes during Saturday's 126-113 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Getting the start to open the playoffs with Immanuel Quickley (hamstring) unavailable, Shead was locked in from long distance, and his five made three-pointers was more than he's produced in any regular-season game during his career to date. The 17 points also represented the second-year guard's best offensive output since Jan. 11, when he dropped 22 points on the Sixers. With Quickley's status uncertain for Game 2 on Monday, Shead could be in line for a significant role in the Raptors' backcourt once again.

  • Raptors' Scottie Barnes: Hits for 21 in playoff opener

Barnes notched 21 points (6-14 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 6-9 FT), one rebound and seven assists across 32 minutes during Saturday's 126-113 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

The fifth-year forward delivered a solid performance to open the Raptors' playoff run, but Barnes wasn't able to match the output of Donovan Mitchell (32 points) for the Cavs. Barnes may need to find another gear on offense if Toronto is going to avoid an early exit -- he's scored 20-plus points only twice in eight April contests, averaging just 15.8 points, 6.9 assists, 5.4 boards, 1.1 steals and 0.9 threes on the month.

  • Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Drops 32 points in Game 1 victory

Mitchell supplied 32 points (11-20 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 6-7 FT), four assists, three rebounds and two steals across 31 minutes in Saturday's 126-113 Game 1 win over the Raptors in the first round of the playoffs.

Mitchell turned in an efficient performance en route to a game-high 32 points, scoring 11 in the third quarter to give the Cavaliers a 21-point lead heading into the fourth. The star guard also tied the game-high mark in steals and was one of three Cleveland players to tally two swipes. Mitchell has reached the 30-point threshold in each of his last three appearances and will look to power the Cavaliers to another home win in Game 2 on Monday.

  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Tallies 24 points in Game 1 loss

Barrett logged 24 points (7-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 7-9 FT), three assists, two rebounds and one steal over 32 minutes during the Raptors' 126-113 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 1 of the first round of the playoffs Saturday.

Barrett was quiet in the first quarter with just two points, but he responded by scoring nine points in the second frame and 13 in the second half to lead the Raptors in scoring. He's carrying some momentum from the tail end of the regular season, when he averaged 21.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.4 threes in 31.5 minutes across his eight games prior to the start of the playoffs.

  • Cavaliers' Larry Nance: Won't start Saturday

Nance won't start Saturday's Game 1 against the Raptors.

The Cavaliers held multiple players out for their regular-season finale, opening the door for Nance to enter the starting five. However, the veteran big man will retreat to the second unit Saturday and isn't guaranteed to see the floor.

  • Cavaliers' Jaylon Tyson: Not starting Game 1

Tyson won't start Saturday's Game 1 against the Raptors.

Tyson started each of Cleveland's final two regular-season games due to multiple key contributors being sidelined, but he'll retreat to the second unit for the start of the playoffs. The second-year forward averaged 10.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 23.2 minutes per contest in 24 regular-season outings off the bench.

... See More ... See Less
  • Cavaliers' Nae'Qwan Tomlin: Back to bench for Game 1

Tomlin is not in Cleveland's starting lineup against Toronto for Game 1 on Saturday.

Tomlin made his third start of the 2025-26 campaign during this past Sunday's regular-season finale against the Wizards, when he played 36 minutes and finished with a career-high 26 points along with eight rebounds and five assists in a 130-117 win. Tomlin will return to a bench role for Game 1, though it's unclear how much playing time he'll see given that rotations tend to tighten up in the playoffs.

... See More ... See Less
  • Raptors' Jamal Shead: Starting sans Quickley

Shead is in the Raptors' starting lineup for Game 1 against the Cavaliers on Saturday.

Immanuel Quickley (hamstring) has been ruled out for Game 1, prompting the Raptors to move Shead into the starting lineup alongside Scottie Barnes, Brandon Ingram, RJ Barrett and Jakob Poeltl. Shead started 12 regular-season games, during which he averaged 11.5 points, 7.5 assists, 1.8 rebounds, 1.8 threes and 1.3 steals over 32.1 minutes per game.

... See More ... See Less
  • Cavaliers' Max Strus: Won't start Saturday

Strus won't start Saturday's Game 1 against the Raptors.

Strus got the starting nod in Cleveland's final two regular-season games with multiple key contributors out, though he'll slide to the second unit for the start of the playoffs. Over seven regular-season appearances off the bench, he averaged 11.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 23.6 minutes per tilt.

... See More ... See Less
  • Cavaliers' Craig Porter: Coming off bench for Game 1

Porter is not in the Cavaliers' starting lineup for Game 1 against the Raptors on Saturday.

Porter started the Cavaliers' regular-season finale against the Wizards this past Sunday, when he played 28 minutes and finished with seven points, seven rebounds, four assists and one block in a 130-117 win. He'll revert to a bench role for Game 1 while the Cavaliers roll with a starting five of Donovan Mitchell, James Harden, Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen and Dean Wade.
