Stone scored a goal in a 4-3 overtime win for Canada over Sweden at the 4 Nations Face-Off on Wednesday.
He fired a one-timer past Filip Gustavsson late in the second period on a pass from Sidney Crosby. It pushed Canada's lead to 3-1. Stone's last Team Canada appearance came in 2019 at the IIHF World Championship where he was named tournament MVP after leading his team to a silver medal.

Golden Knights' Mark Stone: Grabs two points in win
Stone tallied a power-play goal and registered an assist in Saturday's 4-3 win over Boston.
Stone put away Vegas' first goal by redirecting a shot from Shea Theodore into the back of the net. The winger's assist was on Tomas Hertl's game-winner with under two minutes to play. Stone is up to 14 goals, 49 points and 83 shots on net in 42 appearances this season. Saturday's performance ended a brief two-game point drought for Stone. He has recently been skating for Vegas' third line and first power-play unit. With seven power-play points over his last nine games, Stone's been thriving on the man advantage. Stone is just four points shy of his point total from a season ago and should contend to reach the 70-point mark for the second time in his career if he can stay healthy.

Golden Knights' Mark Stone: Notches pair of helpers
Stone logged two assists, four shots on goal, two PIM and a minus-2 rating in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Stars.
One of Stone's helpers came on the power play. The winger was also involved in an ugly incident that left Miro Heiskanen (lower body) injured in the third period, which led to Stone's penalty, a tripping minor. The 32-year-old Stone did not appear to be hurt on the play, which is a relief given his lengthy history of absences. He's contributed a goal and six helpers over his last four contests, giving him 46 points (18 on the power play), 72 shots on net and a plus-19 rating over 37 outings this season.

Stone recorded three assists, including two on the power play, in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Stars.
Stone was a constant threat to the Stars' defense, and he managed to get involved in each of the Golden Knights' three goals -- two from Jack Eichel and the remaining one from Shea Theodore. Stone recorded a multi-point effort for a second straight contest Friday and continues to dazzle as one of the Golden Knights' primary playmaking options despite going through a recent rough patch. Stone netted a goal on two shots and added an assist and a plus-1 rating in 19:30 of ice time Thursday in a 4-2 win over St. Louis.
The Golden Knights' captain was able to help avenge his team's 5-4 shootout loss to the Blues on Monday by opening the scoring just 19 seconds into the game Thursday. Stone stripped Cam Fowler of the puck in the offensive zone and beat Joel Hofer to snap his five-game goal drought. The right-shot winger had not found the scoresheet in three contests prior to Thursday's win, but he's been productive in January with five goals, 11 points and a plus-5 rating across 11 outings. On the season, Stone is up to 13 markers, 28 helpers and a plus-21 rating through 34 appearances. Stone has generated 15 of his points with the man advantage.

Stone (lower body) will be activated off injured reserve and play Friday against Dallas.
Stone missed 14 consecutive games because of his lower-body injury. He had an amazing start to the campaign before getting hurt, providing six goals and 21 points through 13 appearances. Stone should serve in a top-six capacity, probably on the top line alongside Ivan Barbashev and Jack Eichel. Stone's return will likely result in Cole Schwindt serving as a healthy scratch versus the Stars.
