  • Canucks' Noah Juulsen: Not going on road trip

Juulsen (undisclosed) won't travel for the start of the Canucks' road trip, which begins Saturday in Vegas, Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com reports.

Juulsen's absence will allow Elias Pettersson to push Carson Soucy for playing time during the trip. It's unclear how long Juulsen will be out, but he is not a player that has much of an impact in fantasy.

  • Canucks' Thatcher Demko: Deemed week-to-week

Demko (lower body) is week-to-week and won't accompany Vancouver on the team's upcoming five-game road trip, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports Tuesday.

The Canucks will re-evaluate Demko when the team returns from the trip. He sustained the injury, which isn't to his knee, in a 2-1 win over Toronto on Feb. 8 before the break for the 4 Nations Face-Off. He has a 6-6-3 record with one shutout, a 2.87 GAA and an .891 save percentage in 17 appearances this season. Vancouver recalled Arturs Silovs from AHL Abbotsford on Tuesday under emergency conditions to occupy the backup role behind Kevin Lankinen.

  • Canucks' Nikita Tolopilo: Added to NHL squad

Tolopilo was recalled as a practice player by the Canucks on Tuesday.

Tolopilo will serve as a practice option for Vancouver while Thatcher Demko (undisclosed) is still recovering and Kevin Lankinen isn't back from the 4 Nations Face-Off. As soon as Lankinen returns, look for Tolopilo to head back to the minors.

  • Canucks' Drew O'Connor: Inks two-year extension

O'Connor agreed to terms on a two-year, $5 million contract extension with Vancouver on Tuesday.

O'Connor was scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason but has tied himself to the Canucks for two more seasons after being acquired by the club via trade in late January. In limited action with Vancouver, the 26-year-old winger has notched two goals on 10 shots in four games despite seeing slightly less ice time per game (13:57) than he was with Pittsburgh (14:37).

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Joining Team USA in Boston

Hughes (oblique) is joining Team USA ahead of the team's 4 Nations Face-Off championship game against Canada on Thursday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports Tuesday.

With the news of Charlie McAvoy being ruled out for Thursday's game due to an upper-body injury, the Americans were allowed to add Hughes to their roster. While his presence should be a boost for his teammates, Hughes will not be eligible to play unless the team endures another injury, according to Friedman. Hughes' addition to the roster could indicate he'll be ready to go for the Canucks' road matchup against the Golden Knights on Saturday.

  • Canucks' Nils Aman: Called up from AHL

Aman was recalled from AHL Abbotsford on Tuesday, according to Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com.

Aman has accounted for two helpers, three shots on goal, 10 hits and a minus-3 rating over seven appearances with the Canucks this season. Now that he's back in the NHL, he'll likely be competing with Arshdeep Bains, who was also recalled Tuesday, for regular playing time.

  • Canucks' Arshdeep Bains: Back on NHL roster

Bains was recalled from AHL Abbotsford on Tuesday, per Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com.

Along with Bains, the Canucks also brought up Nils Aman, setting the duo up to compete for one spot in the lineup ahead of Saturday's clash with Vegas. Considering Vancouver is heading out on a five-game road trip, both forwards should get an opportunity to play. In his 11 NHL contests this season, Bains has tallied one goal, seven shots and 16 hits while logging 10:56 of ice time per game.

  • Canucks' Arturs Silovs: Brought up Tuesday

Silovs was summoned from AHL Abbotsford on Tuesday, per Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com.

With Kevin Lankinen getting a few days of rest after participating in the 4 Nations Face-Off, Silovs was brought up to the big club. Silovs will presumably be sent back down once Lankinen is back up to speed with the Canucks, though the health of Thatcher Demko (undisclosed) will likely dictate how Vancouver handles its goaltending situation. Silovs has a 1-4-1 record, .847 save percentage and 4.11 GAA through seven appearances in the NHL this season.

  • Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Added to NHL roster

Pettersson was promoted from AHL Abbotsford on Tuesday, per Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com.

Pettersson will be hard-pressed to get into the lineup against Vegas on Saturday, especially if Quinn Hughes (oblique) is cleared to play. As such, fantasy players are unlikely to be impacted by Pettersson's promotion. When he has gotten into action, the 21-year-old Swede has recorded one assist, six shots and 12 hits while averaging 12:50 of ice time.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Pulled in loss to Canada

Lankinen allowed four goals on 13 shots before he was pulled at the 5:03 mark of the second period of Finland's 5-3 loss to Canada at the 4 Nations Face-Off on Monday.

Team Canada had dominated the first period, with Finland surrendering multiple rush chances. Lankinen didn't have much of a chance. He was relieved by Juuse Saros. Lankinen will take a few days before returning to Vancouver. He will be a valuable fantasy play to finish the season and going forward, as starter Thatcher Demko (undisclosed) continues to show real fragility.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: In goal versus Canada

Lankinen will guard the home net against Team Canada on Monday at the 4 Nations Face-Off in Boston, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Lankinen will make his second straight start for Finland after stopping 21 shots in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over Sweden. With a regulation win over Canada on Monday, Finland can advance to the championship game against the United States on Thursday.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Win for Finns on Saturday

Lankinen made 21 saves in Finland's 4-3 overtime victory over Sweden on Saturday at the 4 Nations Face-Off in Montreal.

In his first start at the tournament after backing up Juuse Saros in a 6-1 loss to the United States on Thursday, Lankinen looked as sharp as he has in Vancouver's net this season. It wouldn't be surprising if Lankinen played again against Canada on Monday afternoon in Boston. The Finnish net probably belongs to him now.

  • Canucks' Tom Willander: Plucking apples

Willander has six assists in his last five games with Boston University.

Willander has two goals and 18 points through 27 NCAA appearances this season. The 20-year-old blueliner should surpass his 25-point freshman campaign from 2023-24, but he has been hot and cold offensively during his second college season. Vancouver chose Willander with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Starting Saturday versus Sweden

Lankinen will defend the road crease versus Sweden on Saturday in Finland's second game of the 4 Nations Face-Off, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.

Saturday's matchup is a big game for both teams as Sweden lost a 4-3 overtime decision to Canada on Wednesday, while the Finns were defeated 6-1 by the United States on Thursday. Lankinen has sparkled this season in the Vancouver cage, going 19-8-7 with four shutouts, a 2.53 GAA and a .905 save percentage across 34 appearances.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Sitting out 4 Nations Face-Off

Hughes (oblique) will not participate in the 4 Nations Face-Off, per Chris Johnston of The Athletic on Sunday.

Hughes will be replaced by Ottawa's Jake Sanderson in the upcoming tournament, which begins Wednesday. While the all-world blueliner's skillset is irreplaceable, Sanderson's blend of elite skating and puck-moving ability will help soften the blow of Hughes' absence. Hughes' next chance to return to game action will be Feb. 22, when the Canucks resume play against the Golden Knights.

  • Canucks' Derek Forbort: Logs helper in win

Forbort notched an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Maple Leafs.

Forbort has two helpers over his last six outings. The 32-year-old has seen a larger role during the absence of Quinn Hughes (undisclosed). Forbort is still a defense-first blueliner at heart, so he isn't expected to be a big factor on offense most of the time. For the season, he's produced five helpers, 23 shots on net, 42 blocked shots and 28 PIM across 29 appearances, surpassing his point total (four) from 35 contests in the 2023-24 regular season.

  • Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Grabs apple in win

Pettersson notched an assist and three blocked shots in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Maple Leafs.

Pettersson set up a Filip Hronek tally in the first period. The assist was Pettersson's first point over four contests in February. The 26-year-old center has just 34 points with 92 shots on net, 46 hits, 60 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 49 outings in a frustrating 2024-25 campaign. He'll play for Sweden at the 4 Nations Face-Off, and maybe he'll be able to build up some momentum in international play to fuel a strong finish to his NHL season.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Brilliant in relief

Lankinen made 21 saves on 22 shots in relief in a 2-1 win over Toronto on Saturday.

Thatcher Demko (undisclosed) left the game midway through the first period, and Lankinen stepped into the blue paint and excelled. Lankinen was especially great late, making a sprawling glove save on Auston Matthews on a power play with under two minutes to play to preserve the lead and win. Lankinen's success this season has given him a role for Team Finland at the 4 Nations Face-Off, which starts Wednesday. He's 19-8-7 with a 2.53 GAA and .905 save percentage heading into the tourney. There is no information on Demko's injury or potential absence.

  • Canucks' Brock Boeser: Nets winner on power play

Boeser scored the game-winning goal Saturday in a 2-1 win over the Maple Leafs.

It came on the power play. Boeser cut through the slot, took a pass and shot low past the left pad of Joseph Woll, who was screened on the play. Boeser's 197th goal in the NHL moved him into a tie with Thomas Gradin for ninth in Canucks history. Boeser has two power-play goals in his last three games. The 27-year-old sniper has 18 goals on 99 shots and 17 assists through 48 games in 2024-25. His shots are down from the previous campaign when he scored 40 times on 204 pucks on net in 81 regular-season outings.

  • Canucks' Filip Hronek: Five points in five games

Hronek had a goal and assist in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Maple Leafs.

Hronek got the Canucks on the board first when he pinched down from the right point, and Elias Pettersson hit his tape with a perfect cross-ice backdoor pass. Hronek assisted on Brock Boeser's game-winning goal during a third-period power play by hustling to keep the puck in at the left point. Hronek missed 21 games from late November to mid-January due to an upper-body injury and a lower-body procedure, but he's moving well now. He has five points (one goal, four assists) in his past five games.
