Chargers' Hassan Haskins: Clear depth back during season
Haskins finished the 2024-25 campaign with 34 carries for 89 yards and two touchdowns across 120 offensive snaps. He also caught three passes for 49 yards and an additional score during the season.
Haskins was reliably the team's third back behind J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards, who both spent stints on injured reserve throughout the year. Rookie Kimani Vidal saw opportunities ahead of Haskins, particularly during Dobbins' four-week absence during Weeks 13 to 16, but the rotational hodgepodge of the four backs often saw Haskins ahead of Vidal by virtue of his prowess on special teams over the rookie. The former Titans fourth-round pick back in 2022 is on a team-friendly deal next season and could return as a depth piece in a backfield that could be completely reshaped with Dobbins an unrestricted free agent and Edwards due $3 million next season.

Chargers' Hassan Haskins: Draws work late
Haskins rushed the ball 12 times for 33 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-20 loss to the Raiders.
J.K. Dobbins led the Chargers' backfield in the absence of Gus Edwards (ankle), but Haskins was used to run out the clock throughout the fourth quarter. Eight of his 12 carries came in the final nine minutes of game time, highlighted by a two-yard touchdown plunge -- his second trip to the end zone on the season. Haskins has played primarily on special teams, and that will likely remain the case in the wild-card round in a matchup against the Texans.

Chargers' Hassan Haskins: Season high in snaps
Haskins recorded eight carries for 30 yards in the 40-7 drubbing of the Patriots on Sunday. He also caught his lone target for 10 yards.
With Gus Edwards (ankle) sidelined, Haskins slid right into the power-back role while playing a season-high 27 offensive snaps. Part of that could be due to game script as the outcome was never really in question after halftime, but that same sequence could repeat itself once more against the Raiders in Week 18 with the Chargers playing for better playoff seeding.

Haskins caught both of his targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in the 34-27 win over the Broncos on Thursday.
Haskins isn't known for his receiving prowess. In fact, Thursday accounted for the second-year back's first two receptions of the 2024 campaign, and he now has just 13 total across his career despite playing 216 offensive snaps. While the 25-year-old showcased his impressive footwork by juking out a Denver defender en route to 34-yard checkdown touchdown where he effectively went untouched, that type of result isn't likely to occur again.

Haskins took one carry for three yards during Monday's 30-23 loss versus the Ravens.
After regular starter J.K. Dobbins suffered an MCL sprain, Haskins was able to pace Chargers running backs in terms of snaps in Week 12. With that said, his one carry lagged far behind Gus Edwards' nine. He projects to rotate with rookie sixth-rounder Kimani Vidal behind Edwards when the Chargers travel to Atlanta in Week 13.

Chargers' Hassan Haskins: Lands in Los Angeles
The Chargers claimed Haskins off waivers from the Titans on Wednesday.
Haskins joins a Chargers running back depth chart that also includes Gus Edwards, J.K. Dobbins, Kimani Vidal and Jaret Patterson. It's an intriguing landing spot for the 24-year-old Haskins, who was waived by Tennessee on Tuesday. Edwards hasn't caught more than 12 passes in any season of his career, and Dobbins has been limited to one appearance during the last two seasons due to injuries, so at least one member of the inexperienced trio of Vidal, Patterson and Haskins could ultimately emerge with a prominent role on passing downs.
