Diontae Johnson CAR WR
Panthers' Diontae Johnson: Expected to suit up Sunday
22m agoJohnson (ankle) is likely to play in Sunday's Week 6 game against Atlanta, according to sources, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Johnson has been dealing with an ankle issue for nearly two weeks, but he was able to suit up in Week 5 against Chicago and appears set to do so Sunday versus the Falcons as well. The wideout was quiet against the Bears with just three catches on six targets for 23 yards along with two rushes for six yards, but there's no indication that the injured ankle was responsible, as Carolina's passing game struggled mightily overall. Johnson posted a much more robust 15-205-2 receiving line combined in Weeks 3 and 4 while working with veteran QB Andy Dalton.
-
James Cook BUF RB
Bills' James Cook: Officially questionable for Monday
32m agoCook was a limited participant in practice Saturday and is questionable for Monday night's game against the Jets, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News reports.
A report earlier Saturday indicated that Cook would be limited in practice but is trending toward suiting up Monday, and with the first part of that scenario having officially occurred, there is reason to believe that Cook is in line to play against the Jets. The running back didn't practice at all Thursday and Friday, so his upgrade to a limited session Saturday is a welcome sign for fantasy managers who roster him. Still, it makes sense to keep a close eye on any updates to Cook's status, as the Bills playing on Monday Night Football makes for a tricky situation in fantasy should there be any hint that he may actually not be cleared to start in the contest. Ty Johnson and Ray Davis are the ball carriers behind Cook on the depth chart.
-
Jakobi Meyers LV WR
Raiders' Jakobi Meyers: Doubtful for Sunday
1h agoMeyers (ankle) was downgraded to doubtful for Sunday's game against the Steelers, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.
This couldn't be a more challenging 2024 debut for incoming starter Aidan O'Connell, who will be without Davante Adams (hamstring) and likely Meyers as well. An unheralded group of pass catchers in Tyreik McAllister, DJ Turner and Tre Tucker will have to take on a heavy load with the top two starters expected not to play, but it's the latter in Tucker who profiles as the likeliest fantasy asset given he's accumulated 20 targets combined in the past three weeks.
-
Austin Ekeler WAS RB
Commanders' Austin Ekeler: Set for more work
1h agoEkeler is poised to operate as the team's main running back after Brian Robinson (knee) was ruled out ahead of Sunday's contest.
Typically when a team loses a starting running back to injury it tries to mix and match to replace the production. Ekeler at least has the career pedigree to step in seamlessly as the three-down workhorse, even if he can't replicate Brian Robinson's bludgeoning rushing style. Jeremy McNichols and Chris Rodriguez will likely both spell Ekeler at times, but the longtime Chargers do-it-all back will have an opportunity for a vintage performance against the Ravens, who've allowed the eighth-most receiving yards to opposing running backs through five weeks.
-
Tyrone Tracy Jr. NYG RB
Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Primed for massive opportunity
1h agoWith Devin Singletary (groin) out ahead of Sunday's contest against the Bengals, Tracy is set to see the lion's share of the workload out of the backfield.
This marks another massive opportunity for the 2024 fifth-round pick. Eric Gray seemed to operate as the team's preferred starter very early in the Week 5 contest, but Gray's fumble on the opening drive opened the door for Tracy, who blasted through to the tune of 7.2 yards per carry on just 12 attempts. The 24-year-old is a bit slight (210 pounds) for his 5-foot-11 frame, but while he doesn't profile as a true three-down workhorse, there's reason to believe the converted collegiate wide receiver could be used more in passing situations as well. With Malik Nabers (concussion) out again, the Giants might be forced to get creative offensively, which would be notable for Tracy's fantasy prospects.
-
Devin Singletary NYG RB
Giants' Devin Singletary: Will not play Sunday
2h agoSingletary (groin) has been downgraded ahead of the Sunday night game against the Bengals and will not play in the contest.
Head coach Brian Daboll was noncommittal when asked about Singletary's status earlier in the week, which said all fantasy managers probably needed to know entering the primetime contest. As a result, rookie fifth-round pick Tyrone Tracy is set to operate as the team's starting running back in a juicy matchup against a Bengals defense that has been pitiful all year long. A converted collegiate receiver, it's entirely possible Tracy could get more involved through the air after seeing only two targets in the Week 5 win.
-
Aaron Rodgers NYJ QB
Jets' Aaron Rodgers: Ready to play Monday
2h agoRodgers (ankle) does not carry an injury designation in Monday's game against the Bills, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
There really never seemed to be any risk Rodgers would miss the primetime contest, especially after the shake up to the coaching staff following the firing of head coach Robert Saleh. The Jets also replaced offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett with Todd Downing, who will be taking over play-calling duties for the dysfunctional offense. As a result, it's fair to assume the offense and Rodgers could look better, even if it's only a week, given the scrutiny on everyone in New York.
-
Sam Hartman 2005 QB
Sam Hartman: Joins Commanders' practice squad
5h agoWashington signed Hartman to its practice squad Saturday.
The Commanders waived Hartman on Thursday, and they're bringing him back onto their practice squad just two days later now that he's cleared waivers. As long as Jayden Daniels, Marcus Mariota and Jeff Driskel remain healthy, he's not likely to be elevated any time soon.
-
Derek Carr NO QB
Saints' Derek Carr: Officially ruled out for Week 6
19h agoCarr (oblique) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.
Carr sustained a left oblique strain in the fourth quarter of this past Monday's loss at Kansas City. After undergoing an MRI on Tuesday, he received a prognosis of multiple weeks, and while an IR stint isn't considered likely, per coach Dennis Allen, this weekend Carr will miss the first of what will likely be numerous games. The Saints are rolling with rookie fifth-round pick Spencer Rattler at quarterback Sunday and perhaps for as long as Carr is sidelined.
-
Justin Herbert LAC QB
Chargers' Justin Herbert: Good to go Sunday
1d agoHerbert (ankle) practiced fully Friday and doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
After turning in back-to-back limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday, Herbert's full participation Friday paves the way for him to start against Denver this weekend. The QB has been managing an ankle injury of late, but Herbert no doubt benefited from the Chargers' Week 5 bye and should be closer to 100 percent ahead of Week 6 action.
-
Anthony Richardson IND QB
Colts' Anthony Richardson: Limited Friday, questionable for Sunday
1d agoRichardson (oblique) was limited at Friday's practice and officially is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest at Tennessee.
Richardson seemingly was in the clear to return to action for the first time since Week 4 after managing a full practice Thursday. Despite being limited both Wednesday and Friday, he was spotted throwing on the run and otherwise looking like himself throughout the week, which wasn't the case last week, per Stephen Holder of ESPN.com. Richardson also took a majority of the reps with the Colts' first-team offense, but coach Shane Steichen said Friday that the second-year quarterback will be a game-time decision this weekend, per JJ Stankevitz of the team's official site. As a result, Richardson's status bears watching to see if he or veteran backup Joe Flacco will be under center following Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.
-
Aaron Rodgers NYJ QB
Jets' Aaron Rodgers: Limited by ankle Friday
1d agoRodgers (ankle) remained limited in practice Friday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Rodgers has registered back-to-back limited practices as the Jets prepare for Monday's pivotal home game against the Bills, the winner of which will be in first place in the AFC East. He's dealing with a low-ankle sprain, but Rodgers may be over the hamstring issue that also has been bothering him, as it wasn't listed on Friday's injury report. He'll try to upgrade to full participation Saturday in an effort to avoid an injury designation.
-
James Cook BUF RB
Bills' James Cook: Officially questionable for Monday
32m agoCook was a limited participant in practice Saturday and is questionable for Monday night's game against the Jets, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News reports.

Audric Estime DEN RB
Broncos' Audric Estime: Could play after coming off IR
2h agoEstime (ankle) was activated off injured reserve Saturday. The rookie running back is still listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Chargers, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.
The Denver backfield appears to have a bit more of a cadence than it did early on, with Javonte Williams averaging about 33 snaps per game and Jaleel McLaughlin mixing in somewhere in the range of 17 to 23 snaps most weeks. Estime probably won't play much to start, but he does profile as more of a thumper than anyone currently on the depth chart and could earn more opportunities as the season progresses.
-
Rasheen Ali BAL RB
Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Taken off IR
2h agoAli (neck) was activated off injured reserve Saturday.
Ali landed on IR in early September due to a neck issue and sat out Baltimore's first five games. He was designated to return Oct. 3 but remained on IR until his activation Saturday. If he's cleared to suit up Sunday, Ali -- who is officially questionable for the contest -- could make his NFL regular-season debut, but he probably won't get many offensive snaps behind a healthy Derrick Henry and Justice Hill.
-
Diontae Johnson CAR WR
Panthers' Diontae Johnson: Expected to suit up Sunday
22m agoJohnson (ankle) is likely to play in Sunday's Week 6 game against Atlanta, according to sources, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Johnson has been dealing with an ankle issue for nearly two weeks, but he was able to suit up in Week 5 against Chicago and appears set to do so Sunday versus the Falcons as well. -
Josh Reynolds DEN WR
Broncos' Josh Reynolds: Shifts to IR
2h agoReynolds (hand) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.
Reynolds underwent finger surgery earlier this week, and as a result won't be eligible to return until early November. The Broncos have a number of wide receivers that could step up in replace of Reynolds between Lil'Jordan Humphrey, Marvin Mims, Troy Franklin and Devaughn Vele, but it remains to be seen which of the crew truly stands to operate as the No. 2 behind Courtland Sutton.
-
Parris Campbell PHI WR
Eagles' Parris Campbell: Signed to active roster
2h agoThe Eagles signed Campbell to their 53-man roster Saturday.
Campbell had already been elevated from the practice squad three times this season, so Philadelphia was required to sign him to the active roster in order for the speedy wideout to play Sunday versus Cleveland. The 27-year-old has been playing a significant role in the Eagles' offense in recent games due to the absences of A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, and in Week 4 he logged a season-high 84 percent of the team's offensive snaps. Campbell probably won't play that much in Week 6 with both Brown and Smith slated to return, but he could remain on the roster as a depth receiver for the remainder of the campaign.
-
Ryan Miller TB WR
Buccaneers' Ryan Miller: Moves up to active roster for Week 6
2h agoThe Buccaneers elevated Miller from their practice squad to their active roster Saturday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Miller is getting his first elevation of the campaign with fellow wideouts Trey Palmer (concussion) and Kameron Johnson (ankle) already ruled out for Sunday's game against New Orleans. Jalen McMillan is also questionable for the contest due to a hamstring issue. Miller played in one contest with Tampa Bay last year, logging two offensive snaps without any targets and 12 special-teams snaps versus Carolina in Week 13.
-
Curtis Samuel BUF WR
Bills' Curtis Samuel: All ready for Monday
4h agoSamuel does not carry an injury designation into Monday's contest against the Jets.
Samuel has at least two targets in every game this season, but some assumed the offseason addition would thrive significantly more in the Joe Brady offensive scheme similar to the duo's days in Carolina. Expect Samuel to continue to operate in a depth role with Khalil Shakir (ankle) trending in the right direction for Monday's game.
-
Tyler Conklin NYJ TE
Jets' Tyler Conklin: Questionable for Monday
2h agoConklin (hip) is listed as questionable for Monday's contest against the Bills, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Conklin was a limited participant in practice all week, which typically is a positive sign in regards to gameday activation. The veteran is coming off one of his better days on the young season tallying six catches for 55 yards in the Week 5 loss. Expect more information regarding his status to arrive before the 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff Monday.
-
Evan Engram JAC TE
Jaguars' Evan Engram: Appears on track to play
4h agoEngram (hamstring), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup in London against the Bears, is trending towards playing, Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports reports.
Fantasy managers still must check in on the tight end's status before the 9:30 a.m. ET kickoff in London, but this seems to echo the optimism head coach Doug Pederson had regarding Engram making his return after a four-game absence. Should the veteran tight end be cleared to return, Brenton Strange would wind up operating in a reserve capacity.
-
Jordan Akins CLE TE
Browns' Jordan Akins: Resuming backup role
7h agoAkins will be the top backup in Sunday's game against the Eagles, as starter David Njoku (knee, ankle) no longer has an injury designation on the Browns' injury report.
Njoku, who aggravated an ankle injury and sustained a knee injury last week and has yet to play a complete game in 2024, will resume his normal role as Cleveland's top tight end. When Njoku's been unavailable, Akins has been forced into a larger role, including that of the top tight end in three of five games thus far, and has led the team's tight ends in snaps in four of five games. Akins has 12 catches on 17 targets for 98 yards and a touchdown.
-
MyCole Pruitt PIT TE
Steelers' MyCole Pruitt: Officially out versus Raiders
1d agoPruitt (knee) is out for Sunday's matchup against Las Vegas, according to the Steelers' official site.
Pruitt was a limited participant in each of the Steelers' practices this week, so his inactive designation doesn't come as too much of a surprise. The 6-foot-2 tight end hasn't played since Week 2 against the Broncos and has one catch for nine yards on the year.
-
Michael Mayer LV TE
Raiders' Michael Mayer: Moves to reserve/NFI
1d agoThe Raiders placed Mayer (personal) on the reserve/non-football illness list Friday.
Mayer has been away from the team since at least Sept. 26 as he tends to a personal matter that has sidelined him the last two games and will keep him out through the Raiders' Week 10 bye. He'll be first eligible to get back on the active roster Sunday, Nov. 17 at Miami, but in the meantime, Harrison Bryant and John Samuel Shenker will handle the TE reps that don't go to rookie sensation Brock Bowers.
-
Pat Freiermuth PIT TE
Steelers' Pat Freiermuth: Cleared to face Raiders
1d agoFreiermuth (calf) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
Freiermuth upgraded to full practice participation Friday after being listed as limited Thursday. He'll continue to work as Pittsburgh's top tight end and will try to extend his touchdown streak to three games Sunday.
-
Chad Ryland ARI K
Cardinals' Chad Ryland: Elevated again for Week 6
2h agoThe Cardinals elevated Ryland from their practice squad to their active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's Week 6 battle with Green Bay.
Regular kicker Matt Prater (knee) is questionable for Sunday, so Ryland provides much-needed insurance in case Prater is unable to go. That was the case last week versus San Francisco, when Ryland took over for the inactive Prater and went 3-for-4 on field-goal tries, with his lone miss being a blocked 45-yard attempt. Ryland's elevation Saturday could be a sign that Prater will be held out again Sunday, though that may not be confirmed until about 90 minutes prior to the 4:00 PM ET kickoff.
-
Matthew Wright SF K
49ers' Matthew Wright: Should be good for Week 7
1d agoWright is expected to serve as the 49ers' placekicker on Sunday, Oct. 20 against the Chiefs after an MRI on his shoulder returned negative Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Wright got hurt while attempting to tackle Seahawks returner Dee Williams on a kickoff late in the fourth quarter of Thursday's 36-24 win. He was spotted getting examined by a member of the 49ers' staff afterward, but the nature of the injury wasn't known until coach Kyle Shanahan spoke to the media Friday, when he told Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com that Wright dislocated his shoulder. Wright likely will focus on rehab versus practice in advance of the Week 7 showdown with the Chiefs, but the 49ers seemingly aren't in the market for a third kicker in three games after Jake Moody suffered a high-ankle sprain Week 5.
-
Matt Prater ARI K
Cardinals' Matt Prater: Questionable for Sunday
1d agoPrater (left knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest in Green Bay, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Prater is in a better spot this week as opposed to last week considering he was listed as limited on all three practice reports, which is two more than during Week 5 prep. Nonetheless, his status again will linger into the weekend, and the Cardinals may elevate Chad Ryland from the practice squad Saturday, which would be a sign that Prater could miss a second game in a row. At the latest, Prater's availability, or lack thereof, will receive clarification approximately 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m ET kickoff.
-
Matthew Wright SF K
49ers' Matthew Wright: Hurts shoulder in SF debut
1d agoWright dislocated his shoulder during Thursday's 36-24 win over the Seahawks and is awaiting an MRI on the injury, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Wright suffered the injury while making a tackle late in the game. Prior to that, he was effective filling in for Jake Moody (ankle), converting all three of his field-goal attempts and adding three successful PATs. If Wright is unable to recover before the 49ers host the Chiefs on Sunday, Oct. 20, San Francisco would have to turn to its third kicker in three games.
-
Jason Myers SEA K
Seahawks' Jason Myers: Hits four short kicks
2d agoMyers connected on a 20-yard field-goal attempt and all three extra-point tries in Thursday's 36-24 loss to the 49ers.
Myers made every kick for the first time since Week 2, but he wasn't really challenged in this outing. The veteran kicker hasn't missed an extra point since the 2022 season, and he has hit five of eight field-goal tries from beyond 40 yards.
-
Cameron Dicker LAC K
Chargers' Cameron Dicker: Returns to practice
2d agoDicker (illness) logged a full practice session Thursday.
Dicker missed Wednesday's practice due to an illness, but he was able to return to a full session one day later. As such, it's likely that the kicker will be able to suit up Sunday versus Denver. Dicker has gone 7-for-8 on field-goal tries and 5-for-6 on extra-point attempts so far this season.
-
C.J. Mosley NYJ ILB
Jets' C.J. Mosley: Officially questionable for MNF
2h agoMosley (toe) has been deemed questionable for Monday's Week 6 clash with the Bills, but he should be able to play in the contest, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Mosley has missed New York's past three games due to the toe issue, but he was able to log a trio of limited practice sessions this week. That gives him a good chance of returning Monday night, and if he does so, he'll presumably retake his starting role at linebacker. Prior to this season, Mosley hadn't missed a game since the 2021 campaign.
-
Efe Obada WAS DE
Commanders' Efe Obada: Lifted from reserve/PUP list
3h agoThe Commanders activated Obada (lower leg) from the reserve/PUP list Saturday.
Obada was placed on the PUP list ahead of Washington's regular-season opener and has been working his way back since. The defensive lineman had his practice window opened Oct. 2 and was able to log a trio of full practice sessions this week, giving him a good chance of returning to action Sunday versus Baltimore. Upon his return, Obada will likely take on a rotational role.
-
Jamal Adams TEN S
Titans' Jamal Adams: Lands on NFI-R list
3h agoThe Titans placed Adams (hip) on the non-football injury reserve list Saturday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Adams has been dealing with a hip injury all season and has totaled just 20 defensive snaps over his three contests. Per Turron Davenport of ESPN.com, the veteran safety has been frustrated by his minimal playing time, and he'll now be required to sit out at least Tennessee's next four games. Adams' earliest possible return date is Nov. 10, when the Titans face the Chargers.
-
Nick Niemann LAC LB
Chargers' Nick Niemann: Comes off IR
3h agoThe Chargers activated Niemann (hamstring) off injured reserve Saturday.
Niemann has yet to play a game this season, as he landed on IR in late August due to a hamstring issue. He was designated to return Oct. 2 and logged a trio of full practices this week to set himself up for activation. Niemann still carries a designation of questionable into Sunday's contest versus Denver, and if he plays it likely be in a rotational role.
-
Asante Samuel Jr. LAC CB
Chargers' Asante Samuel: Moves to injured reserve
3h agoSamuel (shoulder) was placed on IR on Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Samuel hurt his shoulder prior to the Chargers' season opener but was able to start each of the team's first four games. However, the Week 5 bye didn't help Samuel overcome the issue, and his placement on IR means he'll need to miss at least Los Angeles' next four contests. Cam Hart will likely take Samuel's spot in the starting lineup at cornerback.
-
Jerome Baker SEA OLB
Seahawks' Jerome Baker: Notches seven stops Thursday
3h agoBaker registered seven tackles (three solo), including one for loss, and defensed a pass in Thursday's Week 6 loss to the 49ers.
Baker wasn't nearly as prolific as in Week 5, when he tallied 14 tackles against the Giants, but he was nonetheless tied for second on the team in stops against San Francisco. The veteran linebacker missed Week 3 and Week 4 due to a hamstring injury but has played all but one of Seattle's defensive snaps over the past two games. Baker has recorded 30 tackles (16 solo), including 1.0 sacks, overall through four contests on the campaign.
