Curtis Jacobs NE LB
Curtis Jacobs: Let go by New England
35m agoThe Patriots cut Jacobs (concussion) on Friday.
Jacobs was claimed off waivers by New England last August, and he suited up for nine regular-season games with the team in 2024. The 23-year-old linebacker mostly contributed on special teams until a concussion forced him to shift to IR. Now healthy, Jacobs will search for a chance to prove himself in a depth capacity with a new squad.
-
River Cracraft MIA WR
Seahawks' River Cracraft: Signs with Seattle
39m agoThe Seahawks signed Cracraft to a contract Friday.
Cracraft joins Seattle's wide receiver corps after spending the last three seasons in Miami, in which span he never managed to pile up 150 receiving yards in a single year. He'll work to establish himself in a depth role with his new team, where plenty of offensive snaps figure to be up for grabs with Cooper Kupp and Marquez Valdes-Scantling having replaced DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
-
Teven Jenkins CLE OT
Browns' Teven Jenkins: Moving to Cleveland
40m agoThe Browns and Jenkins (calf) agreed to a contract Thursday.
A 2021 second-round pick of the Bears, Jenkins started 38 of 45 appearances across the first four seasons of his career, most of them split between both guard positions. Upon joining the Browns, he likely will compete with long-time left guard Joel Bitonio for the No. 1 spot due to the latter's decreased level of play over the last two years.
-
James Pierre PIT CB
Steelers' James Pierre: Remains in Steel City
1h agoThe Steelers and Pierre agreed to a one-year contract Thursday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.
Pierre spent the 2024 offseason and preseason with the Commanders but didn't make the team in advance of Week 1. He eventually landed on the Steelers' practice squad in September before joining the active roster outright by the end of that month, starting two of his 16 appearances (including playoffs). Overall, the five-year pro recorded his third campaign with at least 20 tackles (23 last season, to be precise) and added three pass defenses (including one interception) and two forced fumbles. Pierre again will serve as a depth option at cornerback and as a regular on special teams in 2025.
-
Lucas Patrick NO OG
Bengals' Lucas Patrick: Gets one-year deal with Cincinnati
1h agoThe Bengals signed Patrick (knee) to a one-year, $2.1 million contract Friday, John Sheeran of A to Z Sports reports.
Patrick started 10 of his 11 regular-season appearances with the Saints last season, working at both center and left guard. He missed the last few weeks of the regular season with New Orleans due to a knee injury but figures to be ready for the start of offseason activities with his new team.
-
Trent Scott WAS OT
Commanders' Trent Scott: Re-signs with Washington
2h agoThe Commanders re-signed Scott on Friday.
Scott re-signs with Washington, where he's handled a depth role at offensive guard for the last two seasons. He appeared in all 17 of the team's regular-season games (one start) in 2024.
-
Aaron Rodgers NYJ QB
Aaron Rodgers: Meeting with Pittsburgh
4h agoRodgers is meeting with the Steelers on Friday, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Rodgers is present at Pittsburgh's team facilities Friday, following a recent report that the veteran quarterback is no longer considered a strong contender to join the Vikings, who remain committed to second-year quarterback J.J. McCarthy. The Steelers are currently without a clear starting option under center, with the team's largest splash at the position in free agency having been the signing of career journeyman Mason Rudolph to a two-year deal. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that no agreement between Rodgers and Pittsburgh is currently imminent, but along with the Giants, the Steelers seem like one of the best remaining potential fits for the 41-year-old signal-caller.
-
Feleipe Franks CAR QB
Falcons' Feleipe Franks: Returns to Atlanta
21h agoFranks signed a one-year deal with the Falcons on Thursday, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports.
The tight end caught one pass for 12 yards in 16 games with the Panthers in 2024, playing more on special teams (302 snaps) than offense (44 snaps). Franks spent 2023 on the Falcons' injured reserve list with an undisclosed issue but suited up for 20 combined games with the team the previous two seasons. He did not record a catch in either campaign.
-
J.J. McCarthy MIN QB
Vikings' J.J. McCarthy: Appears locked in as starter
2d agoThe Vikings have rejected multiple trade calls on McCarthy (knee) this offseason and aren't pursuing Aaron Rodgers in free agency, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Minnesota is still expected to sign a veteran quarterback after losing Sam Darnold and Nick Mullens last week, but it won't be someone that represents a serious threat to take the starting job from McCarthy. The 10th overall pick from the 2024 NFL Draft appeared be pressing Darnold for the starting gig last summer after throwing for 188 yards and two touchdowns in his preseason debut, only to be diagnosed with a torn meniscus a few days later. McCarthy had season-ending surgery in mid-August and didn't resume on-field work until the winter, but he should be back to full strength well before training camp. It isn't yet clear if he'll have any limitations during spring practices.
-
Aaron Rodgers NYJ QB
Aaron Rodgers: May not be option for Vikings
2d agoThe Vikings aren't expected to pursue Rodgers in free agency, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Pelissero adds that the team has rejected trade calls on J.J. McCarthy and will move forward with the 22-year-old as their starting quarterback. The Vikings plan to add a veteran signal-caller, but they're aiming lower than Rodgers, likely targeting players that will be content with a backup role. Seemingly left with the Steelers and Giants as his options, Rodgers may make a decision soon on his next NFL home.
-
Jameis Winston CLE QB
Jameis Winston: Scheduled to visit Giants
4d agoWinston (shoulder) plans to visit with the Giants on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
The Giants reportedly are waiting on Aaron Rodgers' decision while continuing to explore alternatives. They've already met/talked with 36-year-old Russell Wilson and 40-year-old Joe Flacco, making 31-year-old Winston the relative youngster of the bunch. There hasn't been any report of Winston needing surgery or dealing with major complications after he missed the end of the 2024 season with a right shoulder injury.
-
Cooper Rush DAL QB
Ravens' Cooper Rush: Set to back up Lamar Jackson
5d agoRush and the Ravens have agreed to a two-year contract valued at up to $12.2 million, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Rush spent the first eight seasons of his career in Dallas and made 14 starts during that span, winning nine of those games. The 31-year-old saw the most action of his career last year after Dak Prescott (hamstring) was hurt in Week 10, and Rush finished with an 83.8 passer rating, completing 61 percent of his 308 pass attempts with 12 touchdowns and five interceptions over 12 games. With Baltimore, Rush will be the No. 2 QB behind Lamar Jackson, who has missed just one regular-season contest over the past two years.
-
Julius Chestnut TEN RB
Titans' Julius Chestnut: Returning to Nashville
2d agoChestnut agreed Wednesday with the Titans on a one-year deal, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
The Sacred Heart product has inked a deal to return to Tennessee after taking 22 carries for 102 yards and catching two of his three targets for 11 yards across 17 games in 2024. Additionally, Chestnut played 225 special-teams snaps and tallied 337 kick-return yards. He's expected to play a similar role in 2025.
-
Travis Homer CHI RB
Bears' Travis Homer: Returning to Chicago
4d agoHomer (hamstring) signed a one-year, $2-million deal with the Bears on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The running back will remain with the team that he played for during the 2023 and '24 campaigns. Homer missed Chicago's last three games of 2024 with a hamstring injury but appears to be healthy again. He played more on special teams than offense in each of the last two seasons, recording just six carries for 23 yards and three catches for 11 yards between the two years.
-
Ronnie Rivers LAR RB
Rams' Ronnie Rivers: Staying in Los Angeles
5d agoRivers signed a one-year contract with the Rams on Sunday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Rivers opened the 2024 regular season as the Rams' No. 2 running back behind Kyren Williams, but he was eventually bumped down to third string by rookie Blake Corum. Rivers saw plenty of work on special teams for the Rams last season and should reprise that role in 2025. He finished the 2024 campaign with 22 carries for 99 yards and five catches (on six targets) for 34 yards across 17 regular-season games.
-
Jordan Mason SF RB
Vikings' Jordan Mason: Traded to Minnesota
6d agoThe 49ers traded Mason (ankle) to the Vikings on Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The 49ers placed a second-round tender worth $5.3 million on Mason when free agency began, but he'll now be shipped out along with the No. 187 pick of the 2025 NFL Draft in exchange for the No. 160 pick and a 2026 sixth-round pick, per David Lombardi of SFStandard.com. Mason will receive a two-year contract with the Vikings that's worth up to $12 million and includes $7 million guaranteed. Mason served as the 49ers' starting running back for the first half of the 2024 regular season due to Christian McCaffrey being sidelined with Achilles injuries. Through the first eight games of the regular season, Mason rushed for 685 yards and three touchdowns on 134 carries while adding 10 catches (on 12 targets) for 86 yards, though he missed the final five games due to a high-ankle sprain. Ty Chandler was slated to be the Vikings' backup running back, but Mason's addition is an upgrade to the backfield led by Aaron Jones, who agreed to a two-year contract with Minneosta on March 9.
-
Kene Nwangwu NYJ RB
Jets' Kene Nwangwu: Remaining in New York
7d agoThe Jets are re-signing Nwangwu (hand) to a one-year contract, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Per Pelissero, the deal is worth up to $2.5 million. Nwangwu logged just one offensive snap over two games with the Jets last season, but he dazzled with a 99-yard kick return for a touchdown in Week 13. Nwangwu ended the campaign on IR due to a hand injury, but he's expected to be healthy by the start of training camp.
-
Kareem Hunt KC RB
Chiefs' Kareem Hunt: Re-signs with Kansas City
7d agoThe Chiefs are re-signing Hunt to a one-year, $1.5 million contract Friday, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports.
Hunt joined Kansas City last September in the wake of an early-season IR stint for Isiah Pacheco due to a fractured fibula. He served as the team's starter for a stretch and then split backfield reps with Pacheco once the latter returned to the lineup, up through the Chiefs' loss to Philadelphia in Super Bowl LIX. Hunt concluded the regular season with 200 carries for 728 yards and seven scores across 13 appearances, plus 23 catches for 176 yards through the air (32 targets). A full offseason to get back to 100 percent form may allow Pacheco to reclaim a firm grasp on the lead role of the Chiefs' backfield, which also added speedster Elijah Mitchell in free agency, but Hunt's solid showing in 2024 figures to leave him in position for a solid amount of complementary snaps. The exact pecking order of Kansas City's rushing attack may not gain clarity until training camp and/or the preseason.
-
River Cracraft MIA WR
Seahawks' River Cracraft: Signs with Seattle
39m agoThe Seahawks signed Cracraft to a contract Friday.
Cracraft joins Seattle's wide receiver corps after spending the last three seasons in Miami, in which span he never managed to pile up 150 receiving yards in a single year. He'll work to establish himself in a depth role with his new team, where plenty of offensive snaps figure to be up for grabs with Cooper Kupp and Marquez Valdes-Scantling having replaced DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
-
Lil'Jordan Humphrey DEN WR
Giants' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Finds new team
2h agoThe Giants signed Humphrey on Friday.
Humphrey is coming off a 2024 regular season in which he recorded a career-high 31 receptions on 45 targets for 293 yards and a touchdown in 17 games with the Broncos. At 6-foot-4, 225 pounds, the 26-year-old will add size and experience to a Giants wideout corps that also includes Malik Nabers, Wan'Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton and Jalin Hyatt. However, in his new locale, Humphrey could see a dip in volume in 2025.
-
Brandin Cooks DAL WR
Saints' Brandin Cooks: Headed back to New Orleans
3h agoThe Saints are slated to sign Cooks, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the wideout's reported deal is a two-year pact worth $13 million. Cooks, who joined the NFL as a 2014 first-round pick of the Saints, is thus poised to return to New Orleans, where he'll add speed and experience to a WR corps which is led by Chris Olave and also includes Rashid Shaheed. In 10 regular-season games with the Cowboys in 2024, Cooks recorded 26 catches for 259 yards and three touchdowns on 54 targets, but with his looming change of scenery, a bounce-back campaign could be in order for the 31-year-old, with a path to steady snaps seemingly on tap for him in 2025.
-
Michael Gallup WAS WR
Commanders' Michael Gallup: Adds depth to Washington WR corps
1d agoThe Commanders signed Gallup on Thursday.
Gallup last saw regular-season action with Dallas during the 2023 season, when he logged a 34-418-2 receiving line in 17 regular-season games. After announcing his intention to retire last July, the 29-year-old sat out out the entire 2024 NFL campaign, but Gallup now is poised to resume his career with Washington, joining a wideout group headed by Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel, with Noah Brown, Luke McCaffrey and K.J. Osborn also in the mix. While Gallup doesn't have a clear path to steady volume at first glance, he does give the Commanders experienced pass-catching depth, as he reunites with coach Dan Quinn, who worked with the 2018 third-rounder while the two were together for three years in Dallas, per Ben Standig of The Athletic.
-
DeAndre Carter CHI WR
Browns' DeAndre Carter: Latches on with Cleveland
1d agoThe Browns are slated to sign Carter (hamstring) to a one-year contract, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports.
Carter turns 32 years old in April and spent last season with the Bears, appearing in 13 regular-season contests. He accrued nine catches for 72 scoreless yards on limited offensive snaps but also handled kickoff and punt returns for Chicago. He missed the final four games with a hamstring injury. Special teams is Carter's calling card and figures to be where he'll mostly operate with the Browns.
-
Stefon Diggs HOU WR
Stefon Diggs: Visiting New England
1d agoDiggs (knee) is visiting with the Patriots, Chad Graff of The Athletic reports.
The free-agent wideout is unlikely to re-sign with the Texans in light of their trade for Christian Kirk, but New England looks like a similarly good option for fantasy production, offering budding franchise quarterback Drake Maye in combination with one of the weakest WR rooms in the league. It isn't clear Diggs would be able to help at the outset of the season, considering he's 31 years old and rehabbing the ACL tear he suffered in late October. He presumably had surgery at some point in November, giving him about a 10-month gap between the ACL repair and Week 1 of 2025. It's been done before, but typically by players in their 20s, not 31-year-olds that had already shown major signs of decline pre-injury.
-
Shane Zylstra DET TE
Lions' Shane Zylstra: Staying in Motor City
3d agoDetroit will re-sign Zylstra for the 2025 season, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
The Lions added Zylstra to the active roster from their practice squad in November of 2024, and over 13 games including the playoffs, he caught his only target for 22 yards. He also contributed on special teams, logging more snaps in that phase than on offense for the first time in his career. Barring injuries, his role on Detroit's offense is likely to be minor in 2025.
-
Mark Andrews BAL TE
Ravens' Mark Andrews: Staying in Charm City
5d agoAndrews' $4 million roster bonus for the 2025 season triggered Sunday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
The roster bonus was due on the fifth day of the new league year, and the Ravens have made the expected move to keep him around in Baltimore for an eighth season to begin his career. The veteran tight end had a rough end to this past campaign during the team's 27-25 divisional-round loss at Buffalo, but he recorded a career-best 11 touchdowns in the 2024 regular season among his 55 receptions. Andrews, who turns 30 in September, will remain one of the key targets for QB Lamar Jackson for at least one more year.
-
Kenny Yeboah NYJ TE
Lions' Kenny Yeboah: Moving to NFC
7d agoThe Lions signed Yeboah to a one-year contract Friday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Yeboah played his first four NFL campaigns with the Jets, with most of his work during that span coming on special teams. He did log a career-high five catches and 47 receiving yards last season while nabbing his first NFL touchdown Week 11 against Indianapolis. The Lions have Sam LaPorta and Brock Wright leading their tight-end corps, so Yeboah's role will likely center around blocking and special teams.
-
Kylen Granson IND TE
Eagles' Kylen Granson: Lands with Philadelphia
7d agoGranson is signing a one-year contract with the Eagles.
A 2021 fourth-round pick, Granson was the tight end of choice in clear passing situations for most of his tenure with the Colts, but he didn't get much playing time otherwise and scored just one TD in 62 regular-season games. He did have back-to-back seasons of 30-plus catches and more than 300 yards in 2022 and 2023, before sinking to a 14-182-0 receiving line in 2024. Granson may end up part of a rotation in Philadelphia if the trade rumors concerning Dallas Goedert come to fruition.
-
Stephen Carlson CHI TE
Bears' Stephen Carlson: Back in Chicago
7d agoThe Bears re-signed Carlson (collarbone) on Friday, Brendan Sugrue of USA Today reports.
Carlson missed the entire 2024 campaign due to a serious collarbone injury sustained back in September, after having begun the season on the practice squad. He only appeared in one game with Chicago in 2023, playing one snap on special teams. Carlson figures to be fully healthy by the start of training camp, at which point he could get a chance to compete for a greater depth role behind Cole Kmet and Durham Smythe.
-
Pharaoh Brown SEA TE
Dolphins' Pharaoh Brown: Lands in Miami
7d agoThe Dolphins signed Brown to a contract Friday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Brown is an experienced veteran tight end with proven capabilities as a rotational blocker. He handled such a role across 15 regular-season appearances with the Seahawks in 2024, averaging 16.3 offensive snaps per game while drawing only 12 total targets. That skillset fills an area of need for Miami, with Durham Smythe having departed for Chicago in free agency.
-
Spencer Shrader IND K
Colts' Spencer Shrader: Circles back to Colts
8d agoShrader signed a two-year deal with the Colts on Thursday.
Shrader had a whirlwind rookie season, as he appeared in games for the Colts, Chiefs and Jets. In total, he went 5-for-5 on field-goal attempts and converted all nine of his extra-point attempts across four games. Per James Boyd of The Athletic, Shrader will compete with Matt Gay for the kicker job this summer.
-
Spencer Shrader IND K
Spencer Shrader: Non-tendered by Kansas City
9d agoShrader (hamstring) became an unrestricted free agent Wednesday after the Chiefs did not tender his contract, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Shrader played two regular-season games for the Chiefs while filling in for Harrison Butker, who was on injured reserve due to a knee injury. Shrader went 3-for-3 on field-goal attempts and made all six of his extra-point tries with Kansas City, but he himself went on IR in early December due to a hamstring injury. Now that he's an unrestricted free agent, Shrader will have the freedom to sign with a team looking to sign a kicker.
-
Zane Gonzalez WAS K
Commanders' Zane Gonzalez: Running it back in D.C.
15d agoWashington re-signed Gonzalez on Thursday.
As Austin Seibert went to the Commanders' injured reserve list with a hip injury ahead of Week 13, Gonzalez was signed to fill in. Over nine games, including the postseason, he made 12 of his 15 field-goal tries and all 27 of his extra-point attempts. That seems to have been good enough to earn him priority for the starting job for 2025.
-
Brandon Aubrey DAL K
Cowboys' Brandon Aubrey: Undergoes shoulder surgery
17d agoAubrey underwent shoulder surgery this offseason, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Aubrey is expected to be ready to go for the Cowboys' offseason program after undergoing a minor procedure on his shoulder. The kicker is coming off a 2024 campaign in which he made 40 of 47 field-goal attempts, including an impressive 14-for-17 from 50-plus yards.
-
Brandon McManus GB K
Packers' Brandon McManus: Gets three-year extension
17d agoMcManus and the Packers agreed to terms Tuesday on a three-year, $15.3 million contract extension, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
McManus joined Green Bay midseason in 2024, ultimately converting 20 of 21 field-goal attempts and all 30 extra-point tries across 11 regular-season appearances with the team. He also converted one of two field-goal tries and his only PAT during the Packers' wild-card round loss to Philadelphia. McManus' tenure as the starter on a high-scoring offense will keep him in the mix as a relevant fantasy option at the kicker position for the 2025 campaign.
-
Mike Badgley DET K
Lions' Michael Badgley: Entering free agency healthy
17d agoDetroit cleared Badgley from the groin injury that landed him on the injured reserve list for the entire 2024 season, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Badgley suffered a torn hamstring during the first week of training camp last year, so his last playing sample comes from 2023, when over four games he made all four of his field-goal tries and 13 of his 15 extra-point attempts. Jake Bates had an impressive rookie campaign with the Lions in 2024, so Badgley will likely be looking for a new team in 2025.
-
Curtis Jacobs NE LB
Curtis Jacobs: Let go by New England
35m agoThe Patriots cut Jacobs (concussion) on Friday.
Jacobs was claimed off waivers by New England last August, and he suited up for nine regular-season games with the team in 2024. The 23-year-old linebacker mostly contributed on special teams until a concussion forced him to shift to IR. Now healthy, Jacobs will search for a chance to prove himself in a depth capacity with a new squad.

-
D'Anthony Bell CLE SS
Seahawks' D'Anthony Bell: Signs with Seattle
2h agoThe Seahawks signed Bell to a one-year contract Friday, Chad Krispinsky of WKBN First News 27 reports.
Bell spent the last three seasons in Cleveland, where he carved out a significant role on special teams. He appeared in all 17 regular-season games for the Browns in 2024. The 28-year-old safety will spend the offseason working to establish himself as a reliable special-teams asset with his new team.
-
Charles Omenihu KC DE
Chiefs' Charles Omenihu: Returning to K.C.
2h agoOmenihu has agreed to a one-year deal with the Chiefs, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Per the report, Omenihu's one-year pact is worth a maximum of $7 million. The 27-year-old is coming off a 2024 regular season in which he logged just six tackles and a sack in six games, but when healthy and available, Omenihu is capable of adding pass-rushing depth to the Chiefs' defense.
-
Avonte Maddox PHI CB
Lions' Avonte Maddox: Links up with Detroit
2h agoMaddox signed a one-year contract with the Lions on Friday, Glenn Erby of USA Today reports.
Maddox, who started 2024 as a starter at slot cornerback for Philadelphia but was replaced by Cooper DeJean during the team's bye, now links up with another NFC contender. He looks primed for a key depth role behind Brian Branch in Detroit.
-
Khalil Dorsey DET DB
Lions' Khalil Dorsey: Sticking with Detroit
20h agoDorsey re-signed with the Lions on Thursday.
The cornerback suffered a season-ending ankle injury in Detroit's December loss to the Bills last year, but he appears to be healthy again. Dorsey played on 70 defensive snaps in 14 regular-season games with the Lions in 2024 and on 76 defensive snaps in 13 regular-season games the year before. Dorsey projects as a depth corner behind free-agent signing D.J. Reed, 2024 first-round pick Terrion Arnold, 2024 Pro Bowler Brian Branch and Amik Robertson.
