Pelicans' Dejounte Murray: Expected to play against Milwaukee
Murray (elbow) is probable for Wednesday's game against the Bucks.
Despite dealing with right elbow bursitis, Murray is expected to give it a go for the Pelicans on Wednesday. Over his last eight games, the star guard has averaged 21.4 points, 7.0 assists, 6.5 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 3.0 three-pointers.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Iffy for Wednesday
Williamson (illness) has been listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Bucks.
Williamson missed Monday's game against the Jazz with an illness and may be trending toward missing Wednesday's game against the Bucks. If the star forward can't go, the Pelicans could turn to Javonte Green, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Daniel Theis, especially if Yves Missi (illness) doesn't play, as he is also listed as questionable against Milwaukee.

Pelicans' Yves Missi: Iffy for Wednesday
Missi (illness) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Bucks.
An illness has kept Missi off the floor in consecutive outings for the Pelicans, and the rookie big man is in danger of missing a third straight game Wednesday as well. If Missi cannot suit up against Milwaukee, Daniel Theis would be in line to make another spot start at center, and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl would figure to absorb more playing time from New Orleans' bench.

Pelicans' Daniel Theis: Records six assists
Theis logged four points (2-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt), eight rebounds and six assists over 37 minutes during Monday's 123-119 overtime victory over the Jazz.
Theis matched his season-best mark of six assists as he made his second start in a row. He's been a serviceable short-term streamer for the Pelicans, but all that could come to an end once Yves Missi (shoulder) and Zion Williamson (illness) are healthy again.

Pelicans' Dejounte Murray: Double-doubles in win
Murray provided 26 points (8-24 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 8-8 FT), nine rebounds, 11 assists and two steals in 45 minutes during Monday's 123-119 overtime victory over the Jazz.
Murray recorded his eighth double-double of the season for the shorthanded Pelicans. Zion Williamson missed this game with an illness, so Murray, CJ McCollum and Trey Murphy soaked up a ton of usage and combined to score 95 points in the overtime win. Murray is averaging 18.9 points, 7.9 assists, 6.3 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 2.3 three-pointers in 11 January outings, but he's shooting just 41.0 percent from the field.

Pelicans' Jordan Hawkins: Scores 18 points in loss
Hawkins accumulated 18 points (5-8 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 5-5 FT), one rebound and two steals in 21 minutes during Monday's 123-119 overtime win over the Jazz.
The Pelicans have been dealing with numerous injuries, and Zion Williamson was added to the shelf Monday due to an illness. Hawkins has seen at least 20 minutes in four straight games, putting him on the streaming radar in deeper formats. During that stretch, he averaged 12.5 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 2.3 three-pointers on 45.9 percent shooting from the field.

Pelicans' CJ McCollum: Erupts for 45 points
McCollum closed Monday's 123-119 overtime win over Utah with 45 points (18-31 FG, 5-13 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and three blocks over 44 minutes.
What a month this has been for McCollum, as his three best scoring performances have come in January -- he had a season-high 50 points on Jan. 3 and a 38-point outing on Jan. 10. For the month, he's averaging 24.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 3.8 three-pointers. If the Pelicans become sellers at the deadline, there will likely be a strong market for the veteran guard.

Pelicans' Javonte Green: Starting Monday
Green is starting in Monday's game against the Jazz.
Zion Williamson is out with an illness Monday, so the versatile Green will step into New Orleans' starting lineup for a spell. Green has averaged 7.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.0 blocks in 26.1 minutes over 14 games as a starter this season.

Pelicans' Dejounte Murray: Good to go Monday
Murray (elbow) will play Monday against the Jazz.
No surprise here, as Murray will shake off yet another probable tag as he continues to play through some swelling in his right elbow. He's likely going to see increased usage Monday with Zion Williamson (illness) sidelined.

Pelicans' Yves Missi: Won't play Monday
Missi (illness) won't play Monday against the Jazz.
Missi missed Friday's game against the Jazz and was unable to practice Sunday, as he remains under the weather. His next chance to play will be Wednesday against the Bucks. Daniel Theis and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl will likely see increased run Monday, especially with Zion Williamson (illness) also out.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Ruled out Monday
Williamson (illness) will not play Monday against the Jazz.
Williamson was previously carrying a questionable tag, so he can be considered day-to-day going forward. With Yves Missi (illness) also out, the Pelicans will be thin in the frontcourt. Javonte Green, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Daniel Theis will likely see increased run Monday night.

Pelicans' Dejounte Murray: Probable for Monday
Murray (elbow) is probable for Monday's game against the Jazz.
Probable tags have become the norm for Murray as he manages swelling in his right elbow. Over his last seven appearances, Murray has produced averages of 20.7 points, 6.4 assists, 6.1 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 3.1 three-pointers.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Questionable for Monday
Williamson is questionable for Monday's game against the Jazz due to an illness.
Williamson is dealing with a non-COVID illness, but the questionable tag suggests a decision on his status will be made closer to Monday's 8 p.m. ET tipoff. The star forward has made four appearances this month, averaging 20.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.

Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Sidelined yet again
Ingram (ankle) will not play Monday against the Jazz.
Ingram will miss his 19th game in a row and continues to be ruled out a day in advance of games. There's no report of a target date for his return just yet.

Pelicans' Yves Missi: Questionable for Monday
Missi (illness) is questionable for Monday's game against Utah.
Missi missed his second game of the campaign Friday against the Jazz, and he was unable to practice Sunday. He remains day-to-day, however, and the Pelicans will likely see how he feels in the morning before a decision is made. If Missi is unable to play, Daniel Theis and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl will likely see increased run.

Pelicans' Jeremiah Robinson-Earl: Fills box score Friday
Robinson-Earl ended Friday's 136-123 win over Utah with eight points (4-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), seven rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals in 21 minutes.
Robinson-Earl filled the box score for the Pelicans on Friday, putting up his highest scoring output since a nine-point showing in the Dec. 26 loss to Houston. However, it was veteran big man Daniel Theis who got the starting nod at center in the absence of Yves Missi, meaning Robinson-Earl likely remains quite far off from fantasy relevance. Robinson-Earl hasn't attained double-digit points or boards since a Nov. 27 defeat to Toronto.

Pelicans' Daniel Theis: Fills in admirably Friday
Theis recorded 18 points (6-9 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 4-5 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and one steal in 28 minutes during Friday's 136-123 win over the Jazz.
Making his first start for the Pelicans since Nov. 25, Theis made an immediate impact in his return to the first unit with his highest scoring output of the year in a season-high 28 minutes. Having now played eight games as a starter, the veteran big man has averaged 6.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 blocks in 17.9 minutes as a member of New Orleans' starting lineup. With starting center Yves Missi (illness) presumably just day-to-day, Theis doesn't appear to be the most appealing cursory pickup in fantasy leagues despite Friday's outburst.
