To'oTo'o finished the 2024 season with 105 tackles (54 solo), including 1.5 sacks, three pass breakups, including one interception, and one forced fumble across 15 regular-season games. To'oTo'o started all 15 regular-season games he appeared in during his second season and upped his tackles total by 44 from 61 as a rookie. He missed Weeks 7-8 in the middle of the season due to a concussion but still led the Texans in tackles, logging 30 more than the next closest teammate. To'oTo'o should be locked into an every-down role for the 2025 campaign.... See More ... See Less

Texans' Henry To'oTo'o: Tallies 10 tackles vs. Kansas City
To'oTo'o finished Saturday's 27-19 loss to the Chiefs with 10 tackles (five solo). To'oTo'o co-led the Texans in tackling Saturday with Eric Murray. To'oTo'o has played at least 60 defensive snaps in five of his last six games, and over that span he has accumulated 47 tackles (24 solo), including 0.5 sacks, two pass defenses (including one interception) and one forced fumble. To'oTo'o is up to 97 combined tackles through 13 regular-season games, and he'll look to eclipse the century mark against Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry and the Ravens on Wednesday.... See More ... Texans' Henry To'oTo'o: Team-high 11 tackles vs. Fins
To'oTo'o registered 11 tackles (four solo), including 0.5 sacks, and one forced fumble during Sunday's 20-12 win over the Dolphins. To'oTo'o logged double-digit tackles Sunday for the second time this season and played every single defensive snap for the third time. He also tallied his first sack since Week 2 when he combined with Danielle Hunter to get to Tua Tagovailoa for a one-yard loss early in the first quarter. To'oTo'o is now up to 87 combined tackles through 12 games, and he is on track to crack the 100-tackle milestone over the Texans' final three games of the 2024 regular season.... See More ... Texans' Henry To'oTo'o: Eight tackles vs. Jaguars
To'oTo'o registered eight tackles (three solo) in Sunday's 23-20 win over Jacksonville. To'oTo'o tied Kamari Lassiter and Eric Murray for second-most tackles on the Texans on Sunday behind Neville Hewitt (nine). To'oTo'o has played at least 61 defensive snaps in three of his last four outings, and across 11 regular-season games he's logged 76 tackles (41 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and three pass defenses (including one interception).... Texans' Henry To'oTo'o: Pick leads to points
To'oTo'o recorded six tackles and an interception in Sunday's 26-23 loss to Detroit in Week 10. To'oTo'o had one of five Houston interceptions on the night, two of which led to points. The linebacker's pick set up the Texans on the Lions' 36-yard line and led to a 29-yard field goal. It was the first career interception for To'oTo'o, who leads the defense with 56 tackles.... Texans' Henry To'oTo'o: Won't play vs. Indianapolis
To'oTo'o (concussion) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Colts, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. To'oTo'o will miss a second straight game due to a concussion he suffered in Week 6 against the Patriots. The 2023 fifth-round pick was able to practice in full Friday, but he has not cleared the league's concussion protocols. To'oTo'o's next chance at suiting up will be Thursday, Oct. 31 against the Jets. With Azeez Al-Shaair (knee) also sidelined for Sunday's contest, the Texans will turn to Neville Hewitt and the newly acquired Devin White to start at outside linebacker while Del'Shawn Phillips serves in a rotational depth role.... Texans' Henry To'oTo'o: Won't play Sunday
To'oTo'o (concussion) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Packers. To'oTo'o didn't practice all week after sustaining a concussion in the Texans' Week 6 win over the Patriots, so it's no surprise he won't suit up Sunday. Expect Del'Shawn Phillips and Neville Hewitt to serve as the Texans' top outside linebackers with both To'oTo'o and Azeez Al-Shaair (knee) sidelined in Week 7.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Henry To'oTo'o: DNPs first two practice days
To'oTo'o (concussion) was a non-participant in practices Wednesday and Thursday. It's looking like To'oTo'o, who leads Houston with 46 tackles, will miss this weekend's game against the Packers. If To'oTo'o is unable to perform Week 7, the Texans are likely to replace him with Jake Hansen or Del'Shawn Phillips (hip), according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Henry To'oTo'o: Dealing with concussion
To'oTo'o is in concussion protocol following Sunday's 41-21 win at New England, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. It's not totally clear when To'oTo'o suffered a concussion, but his availability for Week 7 is now up in the air regardless. The Texans' first official practice report of the week Wednesday should shed some more light on his status.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Henry To'oTo'o: Top tackler vs. Jaguars
To'oTo'o recorded seven total tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Jaguars. To'oTo'o has now led the Texans in tackles in three of the team's four games this season, bringing his season total up to 32 tackles. The second-year linebacker has also accumulated 1.0 sacks and one pass defended in 2024. He's expected to continue making plays alongside Azeez Al-Shaair as part of one of the best linebacker tandems in the NFL as the year progresses.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Henry To'oTo'o: Leads Texans in tackling again
To'oTo'o tallied 13 tackles (nine solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's 19-13 win over Chicago. To'oTo'o led the Texans in tackling for the second straight game Sunday, and he recorded his first career sack in the process. To'oTo'o saw his playing time on defense diminish in the second half of the 2023 regular season, but has earned a starting spot in the Texans' linebacker corps alongside Jake Hansen and Azeez Al-Shaair. To'oTo'o has 20 tackles to start the season, which ranks tied for ninth in the NFL.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Henry To'oTo'o: Leading tackler in win
To'oTo'o logged seven tackles (three solo) and a pass deflection during Houston's 29-27 win over the Colts on Sunday. To'oTo'o had a solid outing Sunday, as his seven tackles were the most on the team. The 2023 fifth-round pick will look to produce for the Texans once again when the team takes on the Bears next week.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Henry To'oTo'o: Contributes in rookie season
To'oTo'o recorded 61 tackles, two passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery over 15 regular-season games in 2023. To'oTo'o, a fifth-round draft pick out of Alabama, started from Week 2 to Week 7 and played in both of Houston's playoff games during his rookie season. The Texans lost two linebackers to free agency -- Blake Cashman and Denzel Perryman -- which leaves To'oTo'o as a projected starter for 2024.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Henry To'oTo'o: Gets in full practice Wednesday
To'oTo'o (concussion) was a full participant at practice Wednesday. There could still be outstanding steps for To'oTo'o to clear league concussion protocol, but his status Wednesday bodes well for his chances to suit up in Week 12. He'll get two more chances to shed his injury designation before Sunday's game versus the Jaguars.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Henry To'oTo'o: Still sidelined by concussion
To'oTo'o (concussion) did not participate at practice Wednesday. Despite sitting out of Sunday's win at Cincinnati, To'oTo'o is still recovering from his concussion to begin the Texans' new week of practice. He'll probably need to practice in some capacity Thursday or Friday to give himself a chance to play in Week 11.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Henry To'oTo'o: Won't play at Cincinnati
To'oTo'o (concussion) is listed as out for Sunday's game at the Bengals, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports. To'oTo'o practiced Wednesday, but he sat out Thursday and Friday, so it comes as no surprise that he won't suit up in Week 10. In his absence, 2022 third-rounder Christian Harris is in line to start at linebacker Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Henry To'oTo'o: Role increasing
To'oTo'o recorded 10 tackles and a pass defensed in Sunday's 37-17 win over Jacksonville in Week 3. To'oTo'o, who filled in at middle linebacker for the injured Denzel Perryman and called defensive signals, tied for the team high in stops with Shaquill Griffin. The rookie out of Alabama has increased his playing time in successive weeks, going from a 34-percent share in Week 1, to 81 percent in Week 2 before upping that to 95 percent Sunday. He's recorded 22 tackles through three games while playing mostly at middle linebacker. The last Houston rookie linebacker out of Alabama to have this much of an impact was current head coach DeMeco Ryans in 2006.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Henry To'oTo'o: Plucked by Houston in fifth round
The Texans selected To'oTo'o in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 167th overall. To'oTo'o is a modest prospect in terms of tools at just 6-foot-1, 227 pounds with a 4.62-second 40-yard dash time, but the Alabama product is polished at linebacker tasks and seems plenty capable of emerging as a viable starter for Houston in time. With the 49ers, new Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans made starters out of Dre Greenlaw and Azeez Al-Shaair -- a fifth-round pick and an undrafted free agent, respectively -- and it would almost be surprising if he didn't accomplish the same with To'oTo'o....
