The Texans signed Littleton to their active roster from New Orleans' practice squad Wednesday. Littleton originally signed with the Texans in March, but he was let go in mid-October. Houston re-signed him a week later only to release him again after a few days. Littleton subsequently joined New Orleans' practice squad, but he's now back with the Texans. The veteran linebacker has played in seven total games this year, with most of his work coming on special teams. All 16 of his defensive snaps came in Week 1, when he notched one tackle against Baltimore.... See More ... See Less

Cory Littleton: Cut again by Houston
The Texans released Littleton on Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. The move corresponds with defensive tackle Hassan Ridgeway returning from IR. Littleton was signed to the Texans' 53-man roster Tuesday after being let go by the team less than a week earlier. He'll have a chance to explore his options should he clear waivers.... See More ... Texans' Cory Littleton: Brought back by Houston
The Texans re-signed Littleton to the team's 53-man roster Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Houston let go of Littleton last week in order to add Myjai Sanders to its active roster, but it now seems as if the team has found an open spot for the 29-year-old linebacker. Littleton has appeared in 116 games throughout his eight-year NFL career, recording 543 total tackles, 27 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks, along with earning second-team All-Pro honors in 2018.... Texans' Cory Littleton: Gets one-year deal with Texans
Littleton is signing a one-year contract worth up to $2.7 million with Houston on Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. Littleton appeared in 15 games with the Panthers last season, recording his lowest tackle total (47) since 2018. The 29-year-old seems likely to handle a similar depth role with Houston in 2023, meaning he would carry minimal fantasy value in IDP formats.... See More ... See Less -
Panthers' Cory Littleton: Ready to go for Week 15
Littleton (ankle) logged a full practice Friday. Littleton looks geared up to return to the field Sunday versus the Steelers after missing the last few games while nursing an ankle injury. With Brandon Smith (ankle) ruled out, Littleton could see a few extra defensive snaps in Week 15.... See More ... See Less -
Panthers' Cory Littleton: Ruled out for Week 12
Littleton (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Broncos. Littleton suffered the injury in Week 11 but was able to return to the game. However, he failed to practice at all in the week following, and he's been ruled out for Carolina's matchup in Week 12 as a result. Littleton has split time between defense and special teams this season, logging a total of 37 tackles, 0.5 sacks and two passes defended across 11 games.... See More ... See Less -
Panthers' Cory Littleton: Limited participant Thursday
Littleton (groin) was limited in practice Thursday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. Littleton sustained a groin injury in a Week 6 loss the Rams and was limited in each practice leading up to Sunday's win over the Buccaneers. While the 28-year-old was able to suit up for the contest, he only played 38 percent of Carolina's defensive snaps and has remained limited so far in Week 8 prep. Littleton will now have one more practice to increase his activity before this Sunday's tilt against Atlanta.... See More ... See Less -
Panthers' Cory Littleton: Practices in limited fashion
Littleton (groin) was listed as a limited participant on the Panthers' injury report Thursday. Littleton was forced out with a groin injury during Sunday's loss to the Rams and has been limited in the first two practices of Week 7. The veteran linebacker has recorded 28 tackles, 0.5 sacks and one pass defended while playing 183 of his 306 snaps on special teams this season. Littleton would significantly improve his status for this Sunday's game against Tampa Bay if he can increase his activity in practice Friday.... See More ... See Less -
Panthers' Cory Littleton: Won't return Sunday
Littleton has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Rams due to a groin injury, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. Littleton was productive to begin Sunday's matchup, racking up a team-high 10 tackles (six solo), including 0.5 sacks. The severity of his injury isn't yet clear, but Brandon Smith and Arron Mosby should see additional playing time down the stretch.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Cory Littleton: Huge day vs. Denver
Littleton had 11 tackles (seven solo), a half-sack and one pass breakup during Sunday's win over the Broncos. Littleton doesn't normally get to the opposing quarterback -- he didn't notch a single sack last season -- but his floor as a run stopper lends him notable IDP value. With 55 tackles through six contests, Littleton is in play as a weekly fantasy option. However, he played only a season-low 69 percent of defensive snaps Week 6.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Cory Littleton: Posts 10 tackles in opener
Littleton made 10 tackles (five solo) in Monday's 33-27 overtime win over the Ravens. Littleton matched middle linebacker Denzel Perryman with a team-high 10 tackles, though the former also played 15 snaps on special teams. The Raiders now travel across the country for a Week 2 matchup against the Steelers, who are led by a 39-year-old Ben Roethlisberger.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Cory Littleton: Rebounds Thursday night
Littleton had seven tackles (four solo) during Thursday's 30-27 overtime loss to the Chargers. Prior to Thursday's loss, Littleton had gone three straight games with less than five stops and under 60 percent of defensive snaps, so it was encouraging to see him back in his usual starting role. Littleton handled 65 snaps on defense (98 percent) against the Chargers, a likely indication that he'll be back to an every-down role to close out the regular season.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Cory Littleton: Quiet in Week 2
Littleton recorded three tackles (two solo) in Sunday's 34-24 win over the Saints. Littleton's lack of statistical production was not a result of not being on the field, as both he and fellow linebacker Nicholas Morrow both played 100-percent of the Raiders defensive snaps. The Saints regularly attacked the Raiders young defensive backs in the run game with outside schemes, potentially taking tackles away from Littleton. If he continues playing every snap for Las Vegas, the numbers should come soon enough.... See More ... See Less -
Rams' Cory Littleton: Exits with injury
Littleton suffered a chest injury during Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Littleton rarely misses a snap, and he's having a career year with 134 tackles, 3.5 sacks and nine pass breakups over 16 games, including this contest. The 26-year-old is considered doubtful to return, so his season appears to be over. Littleton will be an unrestricted free agent in March if the Rams don't re-sign him beforehand.... See More ... See Less -
Rams' Cory Littleton: Posts 12-tackle performance
Littleton recorded 12 tackles (five solo) in Monday's 45-6 loss to the Ravens. Littleton has posted double-digit tackles in two of the Rams' past three contests, and he's played 100 percent of the team's defensive snaps in all but one game this season. Another difficult matchup against a versatile quarterback awaits in Week 13 as the Rams travel to Arizona.... See More ... See Less -
Rams' Cory Littleton: Leads team in tackles
Littleton collected 14 tackles (nine solo) and recovered a fumble in Sunday's loss to the 49ers. Littleton also finished the loss with a pass deflection. The result notwithstanding, Littleton continues to pile up tackles and is now up to 55 tackles through six weeks, putting him amongst the league leaders in that department.... See More ... See Less -
Rams' Cory Littleton: Tackle machine against Saints
Littleton recorded 12 tackles (11 solo) during Sunday's 26-23 overtime win against the Saints. The second-year linebacker emerged as a reliable fantasy contributor this season with 125 tackles (90 solo), four sacks and three interceptions. He also started all 16 games and earned his first invitation to the Pro Bowl. Littleton could have difficulty repeating his 2018 statistics next year, but he definitely silenced any preseason concerns surrounding his ability to play and succeed on Sundays. Just note that he's set to become a free agent after the Super Bowl, so his fantasy value will be up in the air until he signs a new contract.... See More ... See Less -
Rams' Cory Littleton: Eight tackles in win
Littleton recorded eight tackles (seven solo) in the Rams' 54-51 win against the Chiefs on Monday. Littleton was able to suit up for 100 percent of the defensive snaps and 26 percent of the special teams' snaps Monday. He continues to swarm to the ball with an 8.3-tackle-per-game average this season. The Washington product should continue to be a strong IDP candidate following the Rams' upcoming bye week.... See More ... See Less -
Rams' Cory Littleton: Comes back to earth in Week 2
Littleton recorded just three solo tackles during Sunday's 34-0 win over Arizona. This was a disappointing follow-up to Littleton's 13-tackle showing in Week 1. However, it probably should be chalked up to Arizona laying an egg offensively more than anything. With Mark Barron (ankle) sidelined, Littleton called the plays for the Los Angeles defense again Sunday, and he sets up to have a rebound showing in Week 3 against the Chargers -- especially if Barron is unable to suit up or is limited.... See More ... See Less -
Rams' Cory Littleton: Finishes regular season strong
Littleton played 53 of 64 defensive snaps and recorded eight tackles (five solo) during Sunday's 34-13 loss to San Francisco. After a strong Week 16 performance, Littleton started again against the 49ers with Mark Barron inactive and nursing an injured Achilles. It's unclear if Barron will be ready to return for Saturday's playoff game against Atlanta, but Littleton has proven competent at filling in when needed. It's definitely worth noting that without a switch to the outside, Littleton's long-term outlook is bleak with fellow inside linebackers Barron and Alec Ogletree both under contract for the 2018 campaign....
