  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: In line to sit out Week 18

Head coach Nick Sirianni said Wednesday that the Eagles plan to rest Barkley and other starters Sunday against the Giants, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Barkley needs just 101 rushing yards to break Eric Dickerson's NFL single-season record of 2,105 yards, but with the 13-3 Eagles locked in as the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs, he'll prioritize his health for the postseason above chasing down the record. Kenneth Gainwell and Will Shipley (concussion) -- if available -- are next in line for work out of Philadelphia's backfield, with Tyrion Davis-Price representing a candidate to be elevated from the practice squad.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Clears 2,000-yard mark for season

Barkley rushed 31 times for 167 yards and brought in both targets for two yards in the Eagles' 41-7 win over the Cowboys on Sunday. The Eagles are clearly intent on getting Barkley to the all-time single-season rushing yardage record if Sunday's workload is any indication, as the seven-year pro logged his highest carry total since Week 8 of last season. Barkley generated his second-highest yardage tally of the campaign with the elevated volume, logging his sixth 100-yard effort in the last seven contests. The 2018 first-round pick eclipsed the 2,000-yard mark on the season with Sunday's gargantuan production, leaving him exactly 100 yards away from Eric Dickerson's 2,105-yard single-season record that has stood for the last 40 years. Barkley will have a premium Week 18 matchup with which to try and make history, as the Eagles host the Giants to close out the regular season.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Top DFS Play

The Sunday slate is a bit of a short slate, with six games happening Wednesday through Saturday. On shorter slates, I prefer the stars and scrubs approach, and there has been no bigger star at running back than Saquon Barkley. Barkley projects for three more Fantasy points than any other player on the main slate, regardless of position.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Massive day not enough Sunday

Barkley carried the ball 29 times for 150 yards and two touchdowns and failed to catch his only target in Sunday's 36-33 loss to the Commanders. The MVP candidate opened the scoring with a two-yard score on the Eagles' first possession and followed it up with a 68-yard TD dash late in the first quarter, giving Barkley his sixth multi-touchdown game of the season. He's up to a career-high 13 rushing TDs, and with two games left on the schedule, he needs 162 more rushing yards to reach 2,000 for the first time. The Eagles' offense could look very different in Week 17 against the Cowboys, however, as Jalen Hurts (concussion) and Kenny Pickett (ribs) both got hurt in Sunday's loss. If Philly is forced to turn to Tanner McKee, a 2023 sixth-round pick who has yet to attempt a pass in the NFL, under center against Dallas, Barkley may not find his usual room to run.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Held in check after injury scare

Barkley rushed the ball 19 times for 65 yards in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Steelers. He added two receptions on two targets for nine yards. Barkley missed nearly the entire second quarter with an undisclosed issue, though he handled 12 carries in the final two quarters to alleviate any injury concerns. It still wasn't a spectacular showing, as he was largely held in check by the Steelers, with the only exception being a 22-yard gain late in the first quarter. Barkley was also denied a touchdown for the second consecutive game, though he should have a chance to bounce back in Week 16 against the Commanders.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Rumbles for 107 yards, TD in win

Barkley rushed 23 times for 107 yards and a touchdown while catching two of four targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 24-19 win over the Ravens. Barkley was in the midst of a mediocre performance by his lofty standards with just 65 rushing yards until he broke free for a 25-yard rushing touchdown with 7:56 remaining. That was his fifth rushing touchdown in the past three games and 11th of the season. Barkley also reached 100 rushing yards for the eighth time in 12 games for Philadelphia. The red-hot running back is showing no signs of slowing down ahead of a juicy Week 14 matchup against the leaky Panthers run defense.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Monstrous stat line on SNF

Barkley turned 26 carries into 255 yards and two touchdowns while adding four receptions on as many targets for 47 yards in Sunday's 37-20 win over the Rams. Barkley ran wild on Los Angeles' entire defense from start to finish, setting both a personal and franchise record for most rushing yards in a single game. It was also the first time a running back has scored two 70-plus yard touchdowns in the same game since Jaguars legend Maurice Jones-Drew accomplished the feat against the Titans in 2009, as reported by ESPN.com's Lindsey Thiry. It was also Barkley's fifth game since joining the Eagles in which he's scored two or more touchdowns. Sunday's monster line also set a new high-water mark in rushing yards (1,392) for the seven-year pro with six games left on the schedule. Barkley is looking like the fantasy MVP heading into next Sunday's tilt at Baltimore.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Top DFS Play

I have Barkley projected for two more points in half PPR than any other back. He's gone over 25 Fantasy points in three of his last six games and is averaging a league-high 22 touches per game. In cash games he should be the chalk at running back and he's worth it.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Another breakout effort in win

Barkley rushed 26 times for 146 yards and two touchdowns while bringing in two of three targets for 52 yards in the Eagles' 26-18 win over the Commanders on Thursday night. Barkley was the unequivocal team MVP for the Eagles on the night, with his 23- and 39-yard touchdown runs just 20 seconds apart in the fourth quarter pushing Philadelphia's lead from two to 16 points. The veteran back's yardage tally was actually only his fourth highest of the season, a testament to the caliber of his first Eagles campaign to date. Barkley's receiving yardage total was a season best, however, and he now has three multi-TD efforts and 1,137 rushing yards over 10 games heading into a favorable Week 12 road matchup against the Rams on Sunday night, Nov. 24.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Had forearm examined briefly

Barkley rushed 14 times for 66 yards and caught his only target for 12 yards in Sunday's 34-6 win over the Cowboys. Barkley suffered an early injury to his left forearm, but he didn't miss much time and returned to start the second half Sunday, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports. The star tailback didn't appear limited by the injury, outside of sporting a bandage on the affected area, and the blowout nature of the Eagles' win may have limited his playing time as well. Barkley has been one of the top performing players in fantasy this season, so managers should feel confident starting him against the Commanders on Thursday Night Football in Week 11.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Puts up 199 yards plus two TDs

Barkley rushed 27 times for 159 yards and a touchdown while corralling three of four targets for 40 yards and a second score in Sunday's 28-23 win over Jacksonville. Barkley continued to carry fantasy squads with another gaudy stat line for the 6-2 Eagles. The 27-year-old has flourished since joining Philadelphia this past offseason, averaging 5.9 yards per carry as a rusher with eight combined touchdowns through eight starts. Barkley has always been a household name in fantasy circles, and he is putting together an MVP-type season heading into a Week 10 matchup against Dallas next Sunday.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Eclipses century mark in win

Barkley rushed 22 times for 108 yards and brought in his only target for three yards in the Eagles' 37-17 win over the Bengals on Sunday. Jalen Hurts vultured a pair of one-yard rushing touchdown opportunities and also scored on the ground from seven yards out, leaving Barkley out in the cold as far as the end zone was concerned. However, the star running back still managed his second straight 100-yard effort and fourth overall of the season while equaling his second-highest carry total of the campaign. Barkley continues to look like a seamless fit in the Eagles' offensive attack heading into a Week 9 home matchup against the Jaguars.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Massive revenge game against Giants

Barkley carried the ball 17 times for 176 yards and a touchdown and caught two of three targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 28-3 win over the Giants. The running back stomped all over the team he felt took him for granted during contract negotiations the last couple years before he left in free agency, leading his new Eagles squad to a huge win. The 176 rushing yards represented Barkley's best performance on the ground since he hung 189 yards on Washington back in Week 16 of the 2019 season, and he's reached triple-digit scrimmage yards in five of his first six games with Philly. Barkley will look to keep rolling in Week 8 against the Bengals.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Vintage performance in road victory

Barkley rushed 17 times for 147 yards and two touchdowns and brought in all four targets for nine yards in the Eagles' 15-12 win over the Saints on Sunday. He also recorded a two-point conversion rush. Barkley's final line was a throwback to some of his best days with the Giants, and it was largely built on a breakaway 65-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter that served as the first trip to the end zone for either team on the day and showcased his signature breakaway speed. However, Barkley's second touchdown, while much less spectacular from four yards out, was critical, as it erased a 12-7 deficit with 1:01 remaining and was immediately followed by Barkley's two-pointer that gave Philadelphia a key three-point lead. The 27-year-old already has a pair of 100-yard, two-touchdown games over his first three contests in an Eagles uniform, affording him plenty of fantasy steam heading into a Week 4 road battle against the Buccaneers.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: No snaps in preseason opener

Barkley didn't end up playing in Friday's preseason win over the Ravens. Reporting earlier in the day suggested that the Eagles would give their offensive starters, including Barkley, one series in the team's preseason opener, but that proved not to be the case. Instead, Kenneth Gainwell got the start in the backfield, while Kendall Milton wound up leading the team in carries and rushing yards and Lew Nichols scored Philly's only rushing touchdown in the third quarter. Barkley could instead see some preseason action Thursday against the Patriots.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Suiting up Friday

Barkley is in uniform ahead of Friday's preseason game at Baltimore, Bob Brookover of The Newark Star-Ledger reports. With quarterback Jalen Hurts expected to log a possession in the Eagles' exhibition opener, it comes as no surprise that the team's biggest offseason addition within the skill positions also will be available. Once Barkley and the rest of the starters hit the sideline Friday, Kenneth Gainwell, Will Shipley, Lew Nichols, Tyrion Davis-Price and Kendall Milton will handle backfield duties for Philadelphia.

  • Giants' Saquon Barkley: Could talk with Eagles, Texans

The Eagles and Texans are interested in signing Barkley, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports. While numerous other teams presumably have some level of interest, it sounds like Houston and Philadelphia are among the more serious candidates at the start of the free-agent negotiating period Monday afternoon. Barkley is widely viewed as the best RB among a strong group of free agents at the position, though it seems D'Andre Swift (Bears) and Tony Pollard (Titans) are ahead of him when it comes to reaching verbal agreements with suitors. Barkley figures to come out ahead of them financially, of course.

  • Giants' Saquon Barkley: Quiet in Week 17 loss

Barkley rushed 12 times for 39 yards and caught three of six targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 26-25 loss to the Rams. Barkley was held in check on the ground, posting his second-lowest rushing yardage total of the season. He could have had a bigger game as a pass catcher; Tyrod Taylor threw behind a wide open Barkley on what would have been a go-ahead two-point conversion in the fourth quarter, and Barkley had a drop with plenty of green grass in front of him on New York's final drive, which ended in a missed field goal. Barkley needs 84 rushing yards in Week 18 against the Eagles to reach 1,000 for the fourth time in six NFL seasons.

  • Giants' Saquon Barkley: Limited by elbow injury

Barkley was a limited participant at Wednesday's walkthrough due to an elbow injury, Charlotte Carroll of The Athletic reports. Barkley last had practice restrictions placed upon him during Week 11 prep. In the four games since, he's turned 73 touches into 274 yards from scrimmage and three rushing touchdowns. Considering Barkley was able to log some on-field work to kick off this week, he likely isn't in any danger of missing Sunday's contest against the Rams, but his status still will be monitored to ensure that's the case.

  • Giants' Saquon Barkley: Finds end zone against Eagles

Barkley rushed the ball 23 times for 80 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 33-25 loss to the Eagles. He added three receptions on six targets for four yards, and he also rushed in a two-point conversion. The Giants' offense was particularly reliant on Barkley, and he reached 20 rushing attempts for the second time in his last three games. He wasn't particularly efficient in the tough matchup, as his longest gain went for only 12 yards, and he was held to two yards or fewer on 13 of his attempts. Nevertheless, he ended up with a solid fantasy performance thanks to his seven-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter. Even in the poor New York offense, Barkley has topped 80 rushing yards in half of his 12 games this season and needs only 123 more yards on the ground to reach 1,000 for the campaign.
