  • Mavericks' Derrick Jones: Heading west

Jones is signing a three-year, $30 million deal with the Clippers, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Jones will join the Clippers after a successful one-year stop in Dallas. Jones' defense and shot-making ability were key in Dallas' playoff run and made him a sought-after piece ahead of next season. With the Clippers likely parting ways with many key pieces, Jones will likely play a significant role for the team.

  • Mavericks' Naji Marshall: Signs three-year deal with Dallas

Marshall has agreed to a three-year, $27 million deal with the Mavericks, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Marshall has spent all four years of his career with the Pelicans, but he will now be joining the Mavericks, who look to gear up for another deep run. The 26-year-old pro averaged 7.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 19.0 minutes per game across 66 appearances last season. Marshall could hold a sizable role next year since Derrick Jones has elected to sign with the Clippers.

  • Suns' Mason Plumlee: Heading to Phoenix

Plumlee agreed to a one-year deal with the Suns on Sunday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Plumlee has bounced around the league throughout most of his career, and he'll be on the move again after agreeing to a short-term deal with Phoenix. He made 46 regular-season appearances (11 starts) with the Clippers last year and averaged 5.3 points and 5.1 rebounds in 14.7 minutes per game. He'll attempt to bounce back with his new team but will likely have to settle for a depth role once again.

  • Wizards' Jonas Valanciunas: Bound for D.C. on three-year pact

Valanciunas agreed to a three-year, $30 million contract with the Wizards on Sunday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Valanciunas played at least 74 regular-season games in each of his three seasons with the Pelicans, but his role declined in 2023-24 while New Orleans enjoyed better health from frontcourt mate Zion Williamson. Though he appeared in all 82 games, Valanciunas' averages of 12.2 points and 8.8 rebounds in 23.5 minutes per game all represented notable downturns from the season before. The 32-year-old should have a chance to bounce back as a veteran presence for the Wizards, who just selected Alex Sarr with the No. 2 pick in this year's draft.

  • Chris Paul PG | GS

Spurs' Chris Paul: Strikes deal with San Antonio

Paul agreed Sunday with the Spurs on a one-year deal worth at least $11 million, Chris Haynes of Turner Sports reports.

After being waived by Golden State shortly before the start of the free-agent moratorium period that began Sunday at 6 p.m. ET, Paul quickly found a new home with the rebuilding Spurs. In San Antonio, the 39-year-old may not see a major increase in the 26.4 minutes per contest he averaged with the Warriors in 2023-24, though he should benefit from a spike in the career-low 15.4 percent usage rate he handled now that he's part of a far more green Spurs backcourt rather than one that includes established All-Star talents in Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. The Spurs could elect to deploy a rough platoon of Paul and Tre Jones at point guard, which would enable rookie first-round Stephon Castle pick to begin his career in the more familiar off-ball role that he filled at UConn.

  • Eric Gordon SF | PHO

76ers' Eric Gordon: Heading to Philadelphia

Gordon agreed to a one-year, $3.3 million contract with the 76ers on Sunday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Gordon spent the 2023-24 campaign in Phoenix and averaged 11.0 points, 2.2 three-pointers, 2.0 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 27.8 minutes per game over 68 regular-season appearances. He's converted 38.5 percent of his 5.4 three-point attempts per game over the past three seasons and should be a solid perimeter presence for his new team, but the extent of his role will likely depend on whether the 76ers land Paul George in free agency.

  • Paul George SF | LAC

Paul George: Plans to leave Clippers

George has informed the Clippers that he plans to sign with another team in free agency, Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.com reports.

George recently declined his $48.7 million player option with the Clippers, and he won't return to the team after the two sides had a meeting Sunday. The 76ers appear to be the favorites to sign the 34-year-old, but he'll presumably have offers from multiple suitors. Over 74 regular-season appearances last year, George averaged 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 33.8 minutes per game.

  • Pistons' Cade Cunningham: Set to sign five-year extension

Cunningham (knee) agreed Sunday with the Pistons on a five-year, $226 million max extension, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Cunningham has been a bright spot for the Pistons since being selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. He missed most of the 2022-23 campaign due to a left shin injury, but he bounced back in 2023-24, averaging 22.7 points, 7.5 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 33.5 minutes per game over 62 appearances. He missed the end of the season due to left knee tendinopathy but should be back to full health for the start of training camp.

  • Magic's Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Catches on with Orlando

Caldwell-Pope agreed Sunday with the Magic on a three-year, $66 million deal, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Caldwell-Pope is headed to Orlando after spending the last two seasons with the Nuggets. The 31-year-old wing averaged 10.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.6 three-pointers and 1.3 steals per game in 31.6 minutes per contest over his 76 appearances while shooting 40.6 percent from three-point range. Caldwell-Pope will probably see only a modest increase in usage in Orlando even though he's no longer playing alongside three-time MVP Nikola Jokic and another premium scorer in Jamal Murray, but he should be a notable upgrade at the shooting guard spot for a Magic squad that often started Gary Harris, Caleb Houstan or Anthony Black alongside Franz Wagner on the wing last season.

  • Bulls' Andre Drummond: Set for second stint in Philly

Drummond agreed Sunday with the 76ers on a two-year deal worth more than $10 million, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

Drummond will embark on his second stint in Philadelphia, with whom he played 49 games during the 2021-22 season. The veteran center spent the last two seasons in Chicago and averaged 8.4 points and 9.0 rebounds in 17.1 minutes per game across 79 appearances in 2024-25. Drummond and Paul Reed will provide frontcourt depth and operate as the primary backup options behind starting center Joel Embiid.
