  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Another disappointing effort

Addison brought in two of three targets for 22 yards in the Vikings' 30-20 loss to the Rams on Thursday night. Addison was once again a bit player in the air attack, with the likes of Aaron Jones, Josh Oliver and Jalen Nailor all recording the same amount of receptions as the second-year wideout. Addison hasn't topped three receptions or 72 yards in any game this season, and he's now logged four or fewer targets in four of five contests. Addison's next opportunity to revert to his 2023 production comes in a favorable Week 9 home matchup against the Colts on Sunday night, Nov. 3.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Three grabs in loss

Addison brought in three of four targets for 66 yards in the Vikings' 31-29 loss to the Lions on Sunday. Addison was third or tied for that slotting in receptions, receiving yards and targets for the Vikings on the afternoon, but that resulted in relatively unremarkable production. The second-year wideout did manage a game-long 51-yard reception, and Addison's numbers were a marked improvement over his 36-yard tally in Week 5 against the Jets. Addison has exactly three catches in each of his first four games heading into a Week 8 road matchup against the Rams on Thursday night.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Sleeper WRs

The Lions are No. 4 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers and just lost their best pass rusher in Aiden Hutchinson (leg) for the season. That should bode well for Addison and Justin Jefferson, and Addison is worth using as a high-end No. 3 Fantasy receiver in all leagues. He only scored 6.6 PPR points against the Jets in Week 5, but he had eight targets in that matchup. In his last game against the Lions last season, Addison had four catches for 57 yards and a touchdown, so hopefully, he can repeat that level of production or better in this Week 7 NFC North showdown.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Struggles against Jets

Addison recorded three receptions on eight targets for 36 yards in Sunday's 23-17 win over the Jets. The short-term outcome wasn't positive for Addison, as he averaged an abysmal 4.5 yards per target. However, he became a more significant part of the offensive game plan by tallying a season-high eight targets. The Vikings will head into a Week 6 bye, but Addison should have a significant role in a pivotal Week 7 matchup in a divisional showdown with the Lions.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: WRs to Sit

Addison returned from a two-game absence with an ankle injury with a bang in Week 4 at Green Bay with 22.9 PPR points. He scored two touchdowns, one on the ground, but he only had four targets and three catches for 72 yards. I'm hopeful we'll get more volume for Addison moving forward, but this is a tough matchup to trust him against the Jets. They are No. 7 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers, and while Justin Jefferson remains a must-start option in all leagues, Addison should only be started in three-receiver formats in Week 5.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Pair of scores in return

Addison brought in three of four targets for 72 yards and a touchdown and recorded a seven-yard score on his only rush attempt in the Vikings' 31-29 win over the Packers on Sunday. Making his return from a two-game absence due to an ankle injury, Addison wasted no time making an impact with a 29-yard touchdown grab to cap off the opening possession of the contest. He then stung the Packers defense on the ground, notching a seven-yard touchdown early in the second quarter. The second-year wideout, who played only 24 snaps in the season-opening victory over the Giants before suffering his injury, appears to be all the way back to full health heading into a Week 5 interconference clash with the Jets in London next Sunday.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Stays limited Thursday

Addison (ankle) was limited at Thursday's practice. The Vikings held a walkthrough Wednesday, so Addison's listing of limited on the ensuing injury report was an estimate. With an appearance at an actual practice under his belt one day later, he now appears to be closing in on a return. In the end, Friday's report will unveil whether he goes into the weekend with a designation for Sunday's contest at Green Bay or cleared for his first game action since Week 1, when he initially sustained a right ankle sprain. For what it's worth, Addison told Dane Mizutani of the St. Paul Pioneer Press on Thursday that he expects to suit up Sunday.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Officially limited Wednesday

Addison (ankle) was listed as limited participant Wednesday on the Vikings' first Week 4 injury report. Head coach Kevin O'Connell told Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com that Addison was a candidate to take part in Wednesday's walkthrough, which has come to pass. Addison is working his way back from a sprained right ankle that he suffered Week 1, and his return to the practice field is the first step as the team ramps up for Sunday's visit to Green Bay. Whether or not he enters the weekend with a designation for that contest will be revealed when Minnesota posts its final report of Week 4 on Friday.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Out for Week 3

Addison (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Houston, Dane Mizutani of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Addison did some work on a side field this week, but he hasn't actually practiced since suffering an ankle sprain Week 1 against the Giants. His absence for a second straight game leaves Jalen Nailor and Brandon Powell as the top wide receivers alongside Justin Jefferson, who has avoided an injury designation after hurting his quadriceps last week. Coach Kevin O'Connell told Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune on Friday that Addison is "in a good place" and has a good chance to return Week 4 against Green Bay.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Remains sidelined Friday

Addison (ankle) wasn't spotted at practice Friday, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports. Addison has yet to take the practice field since injuring his ankle in Minnesota's regular-season opener, so he presumably will be ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans once the Vikings publish their injury report Friday, though it will be worth checking back for official word on the second-year wide receiver's status. Teammate Justin Jefferson (quadriceps) has been practicing this week, and Jalen Nailor would be in line to maintain an expanded role if Addison is indeed ruled out.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Missing out on another practice

Addison (ankle) didn't participate in the portion of Thursday's practice that was available to the media, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Addison was present for the session, though he was merely conducting rehab on a side field. With Addison set to be listed as a non-participant in practice for the second day in a row, he'll likely need to practice with his healthy teammates as at least a limited participant Friday to have a legitimate chance at playing Sunday against the Texans. While Addison was sidelined for the Vikings' Week 2 loss to the 49ers, Jalen Nailor (3-54-1 receiving line on four targets, 93 percent snap share) was the biggest beneficiary of an expanded role behind No. 1 wideout Justin Jefferson (quadricep).

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Could return to action Week 3

Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell said Monday that the team is hoping Addison (ankle) will be available Week 3 versus the Texans, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports. O'Connell said the Vikings will need to see what type of work Addison can handle in practice this week, and that the team's priority remains his long-term health, but it looks like there's a chance the second-year wideout could be back in action as early as Sunday. Top wide receiver Justin Jefferson (quad), who was forced out of action Week 2 due to a bruised quadriceps, also has been labeled day-to-day, which bodes well for the health of Minnesota's passing game heading into a tough road matchup against Houston.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Not looking good for Week 2

Addison (ankle) isn't practicing Friday and thus seems unlikely to play Sunday against the 49ers, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Addison sprained his left ankle in August but made it back for Week 1, only to sprain his right ankle in a win over the Giants. He hasn't practiced at all this week, which likely leaves Jalen Nailor and Brandon Powell to join Justin Jefferson in three-wide formations come Sunday.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Missing from Thursday's practice

Addison (ankle) wasn't spotted on the field at Thursday's practice, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. With Addison set to miss a second consecutive practice, he'll likely need to get back on the field Friday as at least a limited participant to have a realistic chance at playing in Sunday's game against the 49ers. Should Addison's right ankle injury keep him inactive Sunday, Jalen Nailor and Brandon Powell would likely be featured more prominently in three-receiver sets alongside No. 1 option Justin Jefferson.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Hopeful for Week 2

Coach Kevin O'Connell said Monday he's "hopeful" that Addison (ankle) will be available versus the 49ers in Week 2, Dane Mizutani of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. O'Connell said that Addison, who was forced out of Sunday's win over the Giants in the third quarter, is dealing with "significant soreness" in his right ankle. Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports that O'Connell also said the Vikings will be "smart" with Addison and that the second-year wideout's availability will depend on how he responds to treatment. If Addison does have to miss any time, an increased role behind Justin Jefferson could fall to Jalen Nailor, who scored a 21-yard touchdown on his only reception Week 1.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Ruled out Sunday

Addison won't return to Sunday's game at the Giants due to an ankle injury, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports. Addison went to the locker room in the third quarter with members of the Vikings' training staff and was ruled out shortly thereafter. He'll thus end Week 1 with three catches (on four targets) for 35 yards. Further clarity on Addison's status may be relayed by coach Kevin O'Connell after Sunday's contest.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: No injury designation

Addison (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at the Giants. Addison and fellow wideout Jalen Nailor (ankle) both upgraded to full practice participation Friday after being limited the previous two days. The Vikings enter Week 1 with their full complement of wide receivers, although it is possible Addison plays a few less snaps than usual or isn't at his best, considering he suffered a high-ankle sprain Aug. 14 and just returned to practice this Monday.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Practicing Friday

Addison (ankle) is practicing Friday, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports. Addison said Thursday that he'll play in Sunday's game against the Giants and anticipates being at "100 percent" strength. He was a limited practice participant Wednesday and Thursday, after suffering a high-ankle sprain Aug. 14 and missing more than two weeks of practice.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Vows to play Sunday

Addison (ankle) says he will play Sunday at the Giants even though he was limited in practice Thursday. "Physically, I'm feeling great," Addison told the Minneapolis Star Tribune. "I'm going to be 100 percent on Sunday and y'all are going to see." Addison revealed he suffered a high ankle sprain in practice Aug. 14, which is a little worrisome since the injury may have been worse than first thought. However, head coach Kevin O'Connell also said he was confident Addison will play. Addison will need to make it through another practice Friday before fantasy managers can feel confident he'll get a full workload Sunday.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Leaves practice on cart

Addison was carted off the field during Wednesday's practice with an unspecified injury, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports. After leaping for a contested pass, Addison was visibly hobbled as he left the field with help from the Vikings' training staff. The nature of his injury isn't yet known but likely will be clarified once head coach Kevin O'Connell next speaks to the media.
