The Seahawks exercised Cross' fifth-year option Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Cross will now be tied to Seattle through the 2026 campaign after having been selected ninth overall by the team in the 2022 Draft. He has only missed three games across his first three seasons and should serve as the teams starting left tackle once again during the upcoming campaign.... See More ... See Less

Seahawks' Charles Cross: Good to go Sunday
Cross (toe) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports. Cross missed three games after suffering a toe injury during Seattle's Week 1 loss to the Rams, but he seems to have moved past the issue, as he started during the team's Week 5 contest and has no injury designation ahead of Sunday. The 2022 first-round pick is expected to slide back into his role as the Seahawks' starting left tackle.... See More ... See Less -
Seahawks' Charles Cross: Unavailable Monday
Cross (toe) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup with the Giants. Cross will be unavailable for a third straight contest while he continues to nurse a toe injury he suffered in the season opener. Stone Forsythe will draw another start at left tackle in Week 4 versus New York, while Cross will have an extra week off prior to the team's return to action Oct. 15 in Cincinnati following the Week 5.... Seahawks' Charles Cross: Doubtful Monday
Cross (toe) is listed as doubtful ahead of Monday night's game against the Giants, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. The ninth overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft will likely miss his third consecutive game as he continues to recover from the toe injury he suffered during Seattle's Week 1 loss to the Rams. If Cross does miss Monday night's contest, Stone Forsythe is expected to continue filling in at left tackle.... See More ... See Less -
Seahawks' Charles Cross: Misses practice Wednesday
Cross (toe) did not participate at Seattle's practice Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Cross was forced to miss the Seahawks' first practice of the week after being carted off the field in Week 1 with a sprained toe. Head coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday that the offensive lineman is "hurting" and that it's going to be a "challenge" for him to play in Week 2, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports. Fellow offensive tackle Abraham Lucas (kneecap) was placed on injured reserve while veteran Jason Peters was signed to the practice squad earlier this week.... See More ... See Less

Brian Nemhauser@hawkblogger20H agoThe Seahawks have always viewed Woolen, Witherspoon and Jobe/Emmanwori as their starters. Shaquill Griffin was a rotational backup for the Vikings last year (600 snaps), and will replace some of what Seattle lost with Artie Burns.
