  Stills finished the 2024 season with 42 total tackles (20 solo), including 4.5 sacks, while also adding a pass defensed and a forced fumble over 16 games. Still took a slight step up in 2024 in terms of his sack production, adding an extra sack compared to his rookie campaign in 2023. The defensive lineman could step into a starting role in 2025 with current starting defensive end L.J. Collier entering the offseason as an unrestricted free agent.

• Cardinals' Dante Stills: Logs sack in win

  Stills recorded four total tackles (two solo), including 1.0 sacks, and defended one pass in Sunday's 28-27 win over the Dolphins. The second-year pro from West Virginia saw increased opportunities as an edge rusher in Week 8 with both Darius Robinson (calf) and Dennis Gardeck (knee) sidelined, and he made the most of his chances. Stills was the only Cardinal to bring down Tua Tagovailoa in Sunday's win, notching his second sack in as many weeks. Even with Robinson potentially returning from injury for Week 9's matchup against the Bears, expect Stills to continue serving as one of the Cardinals' top edge rushers.

  The Cardinals placed Stills (knee) on injured reserve Friday. This is merely a procedural move after Stills was already ruled out for the Week 18 season finale. It opens up another roster spot for Arizona to get someone else some playing time.   Stills (knee) won't play in Sunday's season finale against the Seahawks, Bo Brack of PHNX Sports reports. Stills' rookie season will come to a close one week early. The 2023 sixth-round draft pick out of West Virginia suited up in 15 games for the Cardinals, notching 3.5 sacks among his 47 tackles (18 solo).
