  • Vikings' Christian Darrisaw: Participating in minicamp

Darrisaw (knee) participated in Minnesota's minicamp session Tuesday, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports. This marks the first time that Darrisaw has been on the field since tearing both his ACL and MCL last September. The 26-year-old left tackle is trending towards being fully healthy for the start of the regular season.

  • Vikings' Christian Darrisaw: Progressing well in recovery

Darrisaw (knee) is trending in the right direction in his recovery from a torn ACL and MCL, Dane Mizutani of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Darrisaw underwent surgery in early November to address both ligament injuries in his left knee, injuries he suffered in a Week 8 loss to the Rams. Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said Tuesday that the offensive tackle is "absolutely killing it every step of the way," adding that he is looking forward to "seeing how the spring and the summer go." While the Vikings' quarterback situation for 2025 remains up in the air for now, Darrisaw will be tasked with protecting the signal-caller's blind side.

  • Vikings' Christian Darrisaw: Undergoes surgery

Head coach Kevin O'Connell told reporters that Darrisaw underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee Monday, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports. Darrisaw will now be able to begin the recovery process after suffering the injury in the Vikings' Week 9 loss to the Rams. While Darrisaw remains sidelined for the remainder of the season, David Quessenberry is expected to continue serving as Minnesota's top left tackle.

  • Vikings' Christian Darrisaw: Leaves locker room on crutches

Darrisaw (knee) was seen leaving the Vikings' locker room on crutches following Thursday's 30-20 loss to the Rams, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Darrisaw suffered a knee injury just before halftime and immediately went to the locker room and did not return to the game. Coach Kevin O'Connell did not have further information Thursday night, but he did say he anticipated an update Friday.

  • Vikings' Christian Darrisaw: Option exercised

The Vikings exercised Darrisaw's 2025 fifth-year option. The 24-year-old was the No. 23 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and has started 39 of 41 games he's appeared in since entering the league. Darrisaw has yet to make a Pro Bowl or be named an All-Pro, but he's an above-average, rock-solid left tackle and will either protect Sam Darnold or rookie J.J. McCarthy's blind side this upcoming season.

  • Vikings' Christian Darrisaw: Cleared for Week 3

Darrisaw (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game versus the Chargers. Darrisaw injured his ankle in the Vikings' season opener against the Buccaneers, which was the reason he was one of two Minnesota offensive linemen to not play 100 percent of the snaps in that contest. He then was active but didn't play Week 2 at Philadelphia. After following up limited practices Wednesday and Thursday with a full showing to cap this week, Darrisaw should be ready to retake his spot as the team's starting left tackle.

  • Vikings' Christian Darrisaw: Uncertain for Week 2

Darrisaw (ankle) is questionable for Thursday against the Eagles, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports. Darrisaw exited the team's Week 1 loss to Tampa Bay with the injury, but he did ultimately return to the contest. However, the Virginia Tech product has not fully recovered and is in danger of missing the team's matchup with Philadelphia on a short week. If he is unable to take the field Thursday, Oli Udoh would likely draw the start at offensive tackle opposite Brian O'Neill.

  • Vikings' Christian Darrisaw: Exits with injury

Darrisaw is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Buccaneers with an ankle injury, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Darrisaw sustained the injury in the first quarter. He played through it after two trips to the medical tent, but his return is now questionable. Oli Udoh now takes over at left tackle.
