Browning and the Cardinals have agreed on a two-year, $15 million contract, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network repo. Per Rapoport, the deal includes the opportunity for Browning to make up to $19 million with incentives. The Ohio State product was dealt from Denver to the Cardinals last November, and Browning had 2.0 sacks over eight contests following the trade. He typically played around half of Arizona's defensive snaps after joining the club.... See More ... See Less

Cardinals' Baron Browning: Limited production in 2024
Browning finished the 2024 season with 21 total tackles (12 solo), including 2.0 sacks, over 13 games with the Broncos and Cardinals. Browning suffered a foot injury early in the season, forcing him to be on injured reserve with the Broncos for four weeks before returning in Week 7. The linebacker was then traded to the Cardinals on Nov. 4, spending the final eight games of the year with Arizona. Browning's 21 total tackles were a career low and he'll enter the offseason looking for his next opportunity as an unrestricted free agent.... See More ... See Less -
Cardinals' Baron Browning: Suiting up Saturday
Browning (neck) is active for Saturday's Week 17 battle against the Rams, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. Browning suffered a neck injury last Sunday against Carolina and logged a trio of limited practices this week. However, he'll be able to overcome the issue and play against Los Angeles. Browning has 2.0 sacks over six games since being acquired in a trade with Denver in early November.... See More ... See Less -
Cardinals' Baron Browning: Iffy for Week 17
Browning (neck) is questionable to suit up Saturday against the Rams, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports. Browning injured his neck Sunday against the Panthers and was held to a trio of limited practices this week. His ability to play in Saturday's contest may not be known until about 90 minutes prior to the 8:10 PM ET kickoff. If Browning can't suit up against the Rams, Xavier Thomas may get more than his usual allotment of defensive snaps.... See More ... See Less -
Cardinals' Baron Browning: Questionable to return due to neck
Browning suffered a neck injury in Sunday's outing against the Panthers and is questionable to return, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. Browning went down with a neck injury in the second half of the game, and he's now at risk of being out for the rest of the matchup. Xavier Thomas will likely hop in at linebacker in his stead.... Cardinals' Baron Browning: Dealt to Cardinals
Denver traded Browning to Arizona on Monday in exchange for a 2025 sixth-round draft pick, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports. Browning has been plagued by injuries this season -- he's missed four of the Broncos' nine games -- but now he'll get a clean slate with the Cardinals. With rookie first-rounder Darius Robinson still dealing with a calf injury, Browning could earn a meaningful share of playing time on the edge relatively quickly.... See More ... See Less -
Broncos' Baron Browning: Activated off IR
The Broncos activated Browning (foot) from injured reserve ahead of Thursday's game against the Saints, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports. Browning missed the Broncos' last four games due to a foot injury he sustained in Week 2 against the Steelers. His practice window to return from IR opened up Tuesday, and he was able to practice as a full participant in Wednesday's session. Given his activation off IR, Browning is in line to return for Thursday night's game, though he could operate on a snap count.... See More ... See Less -
Broncos' Baron Browning: Practice window opens
The Broncos designated Browning (foot) to return from injured reserve Tuesday, Susanna Weir of the team's official site reports. Browning returned to on-field action for the first time since injuring his foot in Week 2 against the Steelers, and he was listed as a limited participant on Tuesday's injury report. His practice participation Wednesday will provide a clearer picture on whether he'll be activated off the Broncos' IR ahead of Thursday's game against the Saints.... See More ... See Less -
Broncos' Baron Browning: Logs DNP on Wednesday
Browning (foot) didn't practice Wednesday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports. Browning sustained a foot injury during the first half of Sunday's loss to the Steelers, and following Wednesday's DNP, it appears he could be in jeopardy of missing some time. If the Ohio State product is unable to upgrade to limited work either Thursday or Friday, Nik Bonitto will likely start in Browning's place in Week 3.... See More ... See Less -
Broncos' Baron Browning: Exits game with foot injury
Browning is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Steelers due to a foot injury, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports. Browning did not record a tackle before exiting Sunday's game. While Browning is sidelined, Nik Bonitto and Jonah Elliss are candidates to see more snaps at linebacker alongside starters Alex Singleton, Cody Barton and Jonathon Cooper.... See More ... See Less -
Broncos' Baron Browning: Back at practice Wednesday
Browning (concussion) was a limited participant at the Broncos' practice Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official website reports. Browning missed Denver's Week 17 win over the Chargers with a concussion, but he took a step in the right direction to open the week Wednesday. The linebacker remains in concussion protocol and he'll look to log a full session before the end of the week in order to be available for Sunday's season finale versus the Raiders.... See More ... Broncos' Baron Browning: Misses practice Wednesday
Browning (concussion) was a nonparticipant in Wednesday's practice, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports. Browning must have picked up the concussion in last Sunday night's loss to the Patriots. The third-year edge rusher has recorded just 3.5 sacks on 67 percent of the defensive snaps in the eight games he's appeared in after missing the first six contests of the year.... See More ... Broncos' Baron Browning: Won't be activated for Thursday
Browning (knee) is listed as out for Thursday's game at Kansas City, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports. After being designated to return from the PUP list a week ago, Browning will now have to wait at least one more week before returning to game action. His next shot to suit up will come in Week 7 versus Green Bay.... See More ... See Less -
Broncos' Baron Browning: Officially goes on PUP list
Browning (knee) was placed on the active/PUP list Sunday. Browning had arthroscopic surgery to repair a partially torn meniscus earlier this offseason, and it was expected that he could start the season on the PUP list. It's still unclear if he'll be ready Week 1, but he'll be eligible to return to the field once he can pass a physical.... See More ... See Less -
Broncos' Baron Browning: Unable to suit up Sunday
Browning (back) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. After missing the first two practices to open Week 17 prep before logging a limited session Friday due to a back issue, Browning ultimately won't dress for Sunday's contest versus Kansas City. With six other Broncos' linebackers currently on injured reserve, Nik Bonitto, Alex Singleton, Josey Jewell and Jonathon Cooper are slated to start this weekend.... See More ... See Less -
Broncos' Baron Browning: Unavailable for Week 8
Browning (hip) has been ruled out for the Broncos' Week 8 matchup with the Jaguars. Browning will miss Sunday's contest, but that doesn't come as a surprise considering he is expected to miss multiple weeks while nursing a hip injury. In his absence, Jonathan Cooper will likely step into a starting role at weakside linebacker.... See More ... See Less -
Broncos' Baron Browning: Multi-week absence expected
Browning (hip) is expected to be sidelined for several weeks, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Further testing on the injury Browning sustained in the Week 7 loss to the Jets revealed that a multi-week absence should be expected. The Broncos are scheduled to face the Jaguars in London on Sunday, and it remains to be seen whether Browning will even travel with the team for that game. Jonathan Cooper will likely be ticketed for an expanded role while Browning's sidelined.... See More ... See Less -
Broncos' Baron Browning: Thrust into starting role
Browning is expected to enter the starting lineup with Randy Gregory (knee) on IR, Troy Renck of Denver7.com reports. Browning looks set to start along Bradley Chubb while Aaron Patrick handles a backup role starting Thursday versus Indianapolis. Gregory is expected to miss between four and six weeks after undergoing knee surgery, making Browning an option worth monitoring in deep IDP formats.... See More ... See Less -
Broncos' Baron Browning: Enters COVID protocols
Browning (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, Ben Swanson of the Broncos' official site reports. Browning tested positive for the virus, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. With Stephen Weatherly, Jonathon Cooper and Bradley Chubb also on the COVID list, plus Kenny Young (concussion) questionable, the Broncos' linebacker depth will be tested Sunday against the Chargers.... See More ... See Less -
Broncos' Baron Browning: Questionable for Sunday
Browning has been added to the injury report ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Raiders due to an illness, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official website reports. Browning was a limited participant at Friday's practice due to his non-COVID-related illness. His status for Sunday will likely be determined by how he is feeling closer to kickoff.... See More ...
