  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Finds end zone in win

Dortch caught one of his two targets for five yards and a touchdown in Monday's 17-15 win over the Chargers. Dortch's trip to the end zone accounted for quarterback Kyler Murray's only passing touchdown of the contest. With that said, the veteran wideout played just 17 of the Cardinals' 57 offensive snaps, his lowest snap share of the season. Though he hit pay dirt for the first time this season, his one reception and five yards were both season lows for the 26-year-old. In an offense that is struggling to produce consistently through the air, Dortch is best ignored for fantasy purposes outside of the deepest formats.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Records trio of catches in Week 6

Dortch hauled in three of five targets for 36 yards, had a 29-yard kick return and lost a fumble during Sunday's 34-13 loss in Green Bay. Dortch was targeted just once before rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison left with a concussion midway through the second quarter. While his 9.0 yards per target thereafter was a healthy mark, Dortsch's longest gain of 16 yards ended in a lost fumble at the Green Bay 23-yard line with 21 seconds remaining in the third quarter. He's also begun to feature as a kickoff returner again, after DeeJay Dallas had that role mostly to himself through the first four weeks. Dortch may have some short-term sway in Arizona's offense if Harrison is forced to miss next Monday's game against the Chargers, but TE Trey McBride, WR Michael Wilson and RB James Conner figure to be the best bets to see increased target volume from Kyler Murray in such a scenario.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Has season-worst performance Sunday

Dortch hauled in one of two targets for seven yards and returned one kickoff for 27 yards and one punt for one yard during Sunday's 24-23 win at San Francisco. Dortch's target volume matched his season low, and his catch and yardage totals also marked his worst of the campaign. He didn't lack in snaps (24 of 58) working as the Cardinals' No. 3 wideout behind Marvin Harrison (44) and Michael Wilson (42), but that duo combined for a 7-114-0 line on 13 targets. Tight end Trey McBride paced the team with nine targets in his return from a one game absence. With James Conner seeing one more target than Dortch, the latter wouldn't seem to be any higher than fifth in the pecking order for looks from Kyler Murray at the moment.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Four catches in Week 4

Dortch caught all four of his targets for 38 yards in Sunday's 42-14 loss to the Commanders. Dortch tied with Michael Wilson for second on the Cardinals in receiving yards, seven behind Marvin Harrison's team-high 45. The slot receiver has caught 15 of 20 targets for 131 yards heading into a Week 5 road game against the 49ers.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Makes trio of catches Sunday

Dortch caught three of six targets for 35 yards during Sunday's 20-13 loss to the Lions. Dortch earned a season-high 66 percent snap share Week 3, but he continued as the Cardinals' No. 3 WR behind starters Marvin Harrison (88 percent, 5-64-1 on 11 targets) and Michael Wilson (90 percent, 8-64-0 on nine targets). With third-year pro Trey McBride entering the concussion protocol after Sunday's game, the potential exists for more targets for Dortch if the tight end can't go this coming Sunday against the Commanders. Still, Dortch is fifth, at best, in the pecking order in Arizona's offense when everyone is healthy.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Suiting up Sunday

Dortch (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game versus the Lions. The Cardinals tacked on Dortch to Friday's practice report as limited due to a hamstring injury, which left him questionable for Week 3 action. Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Sunday morning that Dortch was in line to play through it, and indeed that'll come to pass. He's a regular in Arizona's offense, but with WRs Marvin Harrison and Michael Wilson, TE Trey McBride and even RB James Conner ahead of him in the pecking order for targets, Dortch's output (8-58-0 on 10 targets, a four-yard carry through two contests) is too inconsistent to trust for fantasy purposes on a weekly basis.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Should play through hamstring issue

Dortch (hamstring) is listed as questionable but is expected to play Sunday versus the Lions, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. A late-week addition to the Cardinals' injury report after the hamstring issue limited his participation in Friday's practice, Dortch looks poised to play through the injury Week 3, though he won't be officially cleared until Arizona releases its inactive list 90 minutes prior to the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. Through the first two games, Dortch has served as Arizona's No. 3 receiver while stringing together an 8-58-0 receiving line on 10 targets.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Questionable with hamstring injury

Dortch is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Lions due to a hamstring injury, which limited him at Friday's practice, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports. Dortch was a late addition to the Cardinals' injury report, implying he may have tweaked his hamstring during drills at some point during Week 3 prep. His status won't be confirmed until approximately 90 minutes before Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff, but if he's inhibited or inactive, targets behind starters Marvin Harrison and Michael Wilson would be up for grabs for Chris Moore, Zach Pascal and potentially undrafted rookie Xavier Weaver (oblique).

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Week 3 Adds (WR Preview)

The Lions have been torched out of the slot the first two weeks of the season. Last week they shut Mike Evans down, but couldn't contain Chris Godwin and we all remember what Cooper Kupp did to them in Week 1. Dortch isn't Godwin or Kupp, but he did lead Arizona wide receivers in targets in Week 1. If Detroit takes away Marvin Harrison and the deep game, Dortch could have a nice PPR day.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Catches both targets Sunday

Dortch gathered in both targets for 11 yards during Sunday's 41-10 victory against the Rams. After pacing the Cardinals in catches (six) and receiving yards (47) in the season-opening loss at Buffalo, Dortch was usurped by rookie fourth overall pick Marvin Harrison, who broke out with four catches (on eight targets) for 130 yards and two touchdowns Sunday. Dortch remained No. 3 in the WR pecking order behind Harrison and Michael Wilson, but his snap share fell from 61 percent Week 1 to 39 percent this past weekend. Dortch's next chance to produce arrives Sunday versus the Lions.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Week 2 Waiver Priority List

The Cardinals talked all offseason about Dortch being more involved this season, and he was in Week 1 at Buffalo with six catches for 47 yards on eight targets. He's not going to make a lot of big plays, but he can be a decent No. 3 PPR receiver. In PPR, add Dortch for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Stashes (WR Preview)

I fully expect the Cardinals targets to be heavily concentrated between Marvin Harrison and Trey McBride. But I also don't want to ignore the steady drum beat out of Arizona that Greg Dortch is going to do special things. Stash him on your bench Week 1, if he doesn't see at least six targets you can drop him for the top Week 2 add.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Week 1 Waiver Priority List

The Cardinals have two receivers that intrigue me in Dortch and Michael Wilson (20 percent), and we'll see how they do playing behind Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride. I have slightly more interest in Dortch than Wilson since Dortch got a lot of positive publicity this offseason, and he could be someone that Kyler Murray leans on a lot this year.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: No action in preseason opener

Dortch didn't suit up for Saturday's preseason game versus the Saints. Dortch was listed as a starting wide receiver on the Cardinals' first unofficial depth chart of training camp alongside rookie first-round pick Marvin Harrison and second-year pro Michael Wilson. After going undrafted in 2019 and not seeing an offensive snap until 2021 with Arizona, Dortch has worked his way into a regular role in the offense the last two seasons, accounting for 76 catches (on 105 targets) for 747 yards and four touchdowns in 32 regular-season games during that stretch. Coach Jonathan Gannon expressed confidence in Dortch this past Tuesday, telling Darren Urban of the team's official site, "He's going to have a big year, guys." In addition to his upcoming role on offense, Dortch is expected to be a part of the return mix as well, boasting career averages of 21.0 yards on 37 kick returns and 8.0 yards on 62 punt returns.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Working with starting offense

Dortch has been working with the first-team offense, PHNX Sports reports. The 5-foot-7 slot man started off as a backup the past two seasons but usually got a good number of targets when injuries thrust him into a top-three role. The Cardinals apparently liked what they saw and now have Dortch positioned to open the year getting regular slot snaps, albeit with free-agent signing Zay Jones lingering as a threat to fill in if Dortch slips up. Jones has mostly worked with backups early in training camp, and he might be more of a threat to perimeter receiver Michael Wilson than to Dortch.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Signs contract tender

Dortch signed his one-year exclusive rights tender with the Cardinals on Wednesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports. Dortch is coming off a 2023 season in which he recorded 24 receptions (on 41 targets) for 280 yards and two touchdowns in 16 contests for Arizona. With Marquise Brown and Rondale Moore no longer with the team, Dortch could see added opportunities during the upcoming season, though to what degree remains to be seen since the Cardinals will likely add receiver depth in the coming month via the 2024 NFL Draft.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Big opportunity ahead?

Dortch is part of a thin WR room in Arizona after the team traded Rondale Moore and lost Marquise Brown in free agency, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports. The 5-foot-7 slot man and return specialist had eight games with seven or more targets over the past two seasons, seeing passes at an unusual rate for someone that only got significant playing time when injuries forced other players out of the lineup. Dortch might get a real opportunity in 2024, though the Cardinals still have time to strengthen their WR group, particularly via the NFL Draft in April. Dortch received a qualifying tender last week as an exclusive rights free agent, and he'll turn 26 this spring heading into this fourth year with the Cardinals.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Serves mostly on returns in 2023

Dortch reeled in 24 of 41 passes for 280 yards and two touchdowns, had one five-yard carry, recorded 17 kick returns for 360 yards and returned 29 punts for 275 yards in 16 regular-season games in 2023. Dortch was barely utilized (one target) before Week 9, but with Kyler Murray back from a torn ACL thereafter, the wide receiver was a regular option for the quarterback the rest of the way. Even though a variety of injuries stretched the receiving corps thin during that span, Dortch mustered just a 23-278-2 line on 39 targets over the final eight contests of the campaign. He's an exclusive-rights free agent this offseason, so he likely will be a member of the Cardinals in 2024 assuming they tender him a contract.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Sleeper WRs

I'm excited about Kyler Murray as my Start of the Week, and Dortch should continue to be one of Murray's go-to options in Week 18 against Seattle. I liked Dortch as a sleeper in Week 17 at Philadelphia, and he delivered seven catches for 82 yards on seven targets for 15.2 PPR points. That's now 11 games over the past two seasons with at least four targets, and he has scored at least 11.7 PPR points in nine of those outings. He should once again see a decent amount of targets against the Seahawks in Week 18, and Dortch is worth starting as a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in all leagues. Eight receivers have scored at least 13 PPR points against Seattle in the past seven games.
