  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Top DFS Play

We're expecting Tua Tagovailoa back in Week 8, which makes Tyreek Hill a top-five wide receiver once again. His pricing doesn't reflect that reality, so I would anticipate Hill being the cash game chalk at wide receiver, and I am buying it. Remember, Hill scored 26 Fantasy points in Week 1, the lone game this duo has played together this season.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Nearly invisible in Week 7 loss

Hill caught one of two targets for eight yards and gained five rushing yards on one carry in Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Colts. Neither Tyler Huntley (shoulder) nor Tim Boyle has any success looking for their wide receivers on the afternoon, giving Hill few opportunities to make an impact. The speedster has topped 1,700 receiving yards in each of the last two seasons, the first player in NFL history to do so, but the Dolphins' QB woes have eliminated any chance of a repeat for Hill. Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) will be eligible to return from IR in Week 8 against the Cardinals, but if he isn't cleared for game action, it seems to make little difference to Hill whether Huntley, Boyle or Skylar Thompson (ribs) is under center.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Paces pass catchers in win

Hill secured six of nine targets for 69 yards in the Dolphins' 15-10 win over the Patriots on Sunday. Hill led the Dolphins in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the afternoon, demonstrating improved chemistry with Tyler Huntley in his second game playing with the quarterback. The three components of the speedster's receiving line all qualified as his second-highest totals of the season, and Hill also narrowly missed recording his second touchdown of the campaign on a near catch in the left corner of the end zone on which he just missed coming down with two feet inbounds. Hill is likely to work with Huntley for at least one more game when the Dolphins face the Colts on the road on Sunday, Oct. 20 following a Week 6 bye.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Bust Alert

It's time to consider benching Hill in two-receiver leagues with Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) sidelined. We're already benching Jaylen Waddle outright in the majority of leagues, and Waddle has scored 8.5 PPR points or less since Week 2 when Tagovailoa got hurt against the Bills. Hill has scored 8.2 PPR points or less over that same span, and it's tough to watch. Now, Hill needs one play to change his Fantasy fortune, as we're all aware. But trusting Tyler Huntley to help Hill make any plays is frustrating. I'm still starting Hill in all three-receiver leagues, but it's time to consider benching him in two-receiver formats, possibly until Tagovailoa returns in Week 8.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Limited to 42 total yards in loss

Hill secured four of seven targets for 23 yards and rushed three times for 19 yards in the Dolphins' 31-12 loss to the Titans on Monday night. Hill's numbers unsurprisingly continued to be significantly compromised by the Dolphins' tenuous quarterback situation, as Tyler Huntley wasn't able to deliver any more of a competent performance than Week 3 predecessor Skylar Thompson (ribs). With the Dolphins' backfield particularly short-handed due to Jeff Wilson's pregame knee injury and Raheem Mostert's (chest) inactive status, Hill also did some moonlighting in the ground attack with a season-high carry count. The elite wideout, who did wipe out a 22-yard reception with his own illegal shift penalty in the fourth quarter, figures to continue having trouble capitalizing on his talents in a Week 5 road matchup against the Patriots. Either Huntley or Thompson figure to serve as his quarterback for that contest, and New England does have a pair of talented cornerbacks in Jonathan Jones and Christian Gonzalez.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Victim of QB play in loss

Hill brought in three of five targets for 40 yards in the Dolphins' 24-3 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday. Hill set the pace in receiving yards and tied for the team lead in targets as well, but both were essentially hollow achievements in the ragged loss. Hill's production was already likely to be compromised with Skylar Thompson opening the game under center in place of Tua Tagovailoa (IR-concussion), but matters only got worse once journeyman Tim Boyle was forced to replace Thompson in the second half due to the latter's rib injury. The speedy receiver is essentially in limbo for the time being with the state of the team's quarterback position, leaving his fantasy prospects for a Week 4 Monday night home matchup against the Titans decidedly murky.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Big downturn in loss

Hill secured three of six targets for 24 yards and rushed once for 12 yards in the Dolphins' 31-10 loss to the Bills on Thursday night. Four days after a tumultuous but ultimately successful first Sunday of the regular season, Hill and the entire Dolphins offense saw a drastic downturn Thursday. Hill was saddled by generally ineffective play on the part of Tua Tagovailoa, who tossed two first-half interceptions and a pick-six early in the third quarter and then exited the game late in the period with a concussion. Hill and Jaylen Waddle both took an early seat in the fourth quarter, and neither saw a target after Skylar Thompson replaced Tagovailoa, but there will be ample time to build chemistry ahead of a Week 3 road matchup against the Seahawks on Sunday, Sept. 22 that Tagovailoa may not be available for.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Receives two citations

Hill has received two citations, careless driving and a seatbelt violation, due to Sunday's incident in which he was detained by police outside of Hard Rock Stadium prior to Miami's 20-17 win over the Jaguars, Jeff Darlington of ESPN reports. Hill's citations don't figure to result in any further ramifications, leaving Miami's No. 1 wideout in the clear to suit up for a key Week 2 divisional matchup against the Bills on Thursday Night Football. Kevin Dotson of CNN.com reports that the Miami-Dade Police Department placed an officer on administrative leave and has begun an internal investigation related to Sunday's incident. Hill secured seven of 12 targets for 130 yards and a score during Miami's regular-season opener in a game that also saw Jaylen Waddle pass the 100-yard mark. This Dolphins offense remains willing to funnel the passing game through Hill and Waddle, though it was encouraging to see explosive RB De'Von Achane provide another complement in the receiving game Week 1.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Goes for 100-plus yards in win

Hill brought in seven of 12 targets for 130 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 20-17 win over the Jaguars on Sunday. He also returned one punt for 11 yards. A day that began in less than ideal fashion for Hill due to a pregame incident where he was briefly detailed by local police during a traffic stop culminated in a signature performance for the fleet-footed star. Hill led the Dolphins in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the afternoon, a familiar distinction. He also secured his first touchdown of the season on an 80-yard grab late in the third quarter to bring Miami within 17-14 at the time. There aren't expected to be any further legal ramifications for Hill stemming from the police encounter, so he should be available without restrictions again in four days when the Dolphins have an early-season showdown with the division-rival Bills on Thursday night.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Cleared to play Week 1

Hill is active for Sunday's game against the Jaguars. Earlier Sunday, the Dolphins announced that Hill was pulled over in his vehicle about one block from Hard Rock Stadium and briefly detained by police before being released. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Hill was cited for reckless driving, but the incident won't prevent the star wideout from suiting up in the Dolphins' season opener. Hill also contended with a thumb injury for much of the second half of August, but that's not expected to be a concern either in Week 1 after he logged full practices Wednesday through Friday.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Detained by police, will play Sunday

Hill was detained by police for a driving violation outside of Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday, but his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said that the receiver will suit up and play in the Dolphins' season opener against the Jaguars, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. In a situation seemingly similar to that of professional golfer Scottie Scheffler during this year's PGA Championship, Hill was spotted in handcuffs outside of his home stadium, but it won't stop him from being available for the Week 1 matchup.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Top DFS Play

There are always plenty of bargains in Week 1 because the prices are set so early. With that in mind, I'm playing both Bijan Robinson and Tyreek Hill in cash games. Robinson has a three-point projection edge over any other running back in FanDuel projections and Hill has that much over every receiver not named CeeDee Lamb.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Practicing Monday

Coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that Hill (thumb) and Jaylen Waddle (undisclosed) will both practice and "had no setbacks," Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports. Hill and Waddle have both had their practice reps capped in recent weeks, but it doesn't seem like the Dolphins have had any real doubts about having the star WR duo available for Week 1. A right thumb injury has lingered for Hill since mid-August, so Miami may have simply been taking a cautious approach to his recovery, with catching ability in mind. At the latest, Wednesday's first official practice report of the season will reveal whether Hill and Waddle still carry injury designations as Sunday's opener against the Jaguars approaches.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Still sidelined

Hill (thumb) remains a non-participant at practice Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. The Dolphins seem to simply be taking a cautious approach to Hill's recovery, but there will be cause for worry if he's still being held out next week, when the team's first official injury reports of the regular season are released. Jaylen Waddle (undisclosed) is wearing a non-contact jersey Thursday, but the team has also downplayed his injury severity. In all likelihood, Miami is simply opting to not take any chances with either star wideout, especially given that key depth options Odell Beckham (undisclosed) and River Cracraft (upper body) are starting the year on reserve lists and ruled out for at least four games. Hill and Waddle will look to resume handling full reps before taking on the Jaguars in Week 1 on Sunday, Sept. 8.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Not practicing

Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Hill (hand) will be held out of team drills Wednesday to avoid risk of further injury, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports. McDaniel said Hill could participate fully if needed, but there's no point of rushing him with Miami's regular-season opener 18 days away. Hill had a brace on his right hand at Tuesday's practice and didn't catch any passes.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Wearing hand brace

Hill (hand) did not catch any passes at Tuesday's practice and was spotted wearing a brace on his right hand, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports. Hill appears to be dealing with a minor injury, though as Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald notes, if the star wide receiver were dealing with anything serious he likely wouldn't have participated in individual drills Tuesday. The Dolphins may simply be taking a cautious approach to Hill's health, given that Jaylen Waddle (undisclosed) and Odell Beckham (undisclosed) both remain sidelined while River Cracraft (undisclosed) is expected to miss significant time. Miami could extend that cautious approach to Friday's preseason finale against the Buccaneers, and keep Hill off the field if he's anything less than 100 percent.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Not present for warmups

Hill and Jaylen Waddle (undisclosed) aren't on the field for pregame warmups ahead of Saturday's preseason game against Washington, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Coach Mike McDaniel suggested most starters would play, but Waddle is banged up and Hill is a sensible exception. Few non-QBs are more important to their teams, and no player was targeted on a higher percentage of his routes in 2022 or 2023 than Hill.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Relatively quiet in playoff loss

Hill secured five of eight targets for 62 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 26-7 wild-card loss to the Chiefs on Saturday night. Hill's much-ballyhooed return to Arrowhead Stadium did have one standout moment, a 53-yard touchdown reception early in the second quarter that served as the Dolphins' first points of the night. However, the perennial Pro Bowler was otherwise impressively shut down by the Chiefs' secondary, netting just nine yards on his four other catches. Hill also spent some time on the sideline late in the fourth quarter, although there was no report of an injury. Despite the highly disappointing end to what once appeared to be a potential Super Bowl season for the Dolphins, Hill arguably profiled as the best receiver in the league while establishing new career highs during the regular season in receiving yards (1,799) and targets (171), as well as tying the career-best 119 receptions he'd recorded in one additional game in 2022.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: No designation in return to K.C.

Hill (ankle/quadricep) doesn't have an injury designation for Saturday's wild-card game against the Chiefs, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Though Hill was deemed a limited participant in practice throughout the week due to his two listed injuries, he's not expected to face any restrictions as he faces his former team for the second time this season. In the Dolphins' previous matchup with the Chiefs in Frankfurt, Germany in Week 9, Kansas City successfully contained Hill to eight catches for 62 yards on 10 targets. The Chiefs will have most of their key secondary players available in the rematch in Kansas City, and Hill will also have to deal with frigid projected gameday temperatures at Arrowhead Stadium that could stifle the passing game. On a positive note, Hill could have some of the attention drawn away from him if fellow starting receiver Jaylen Waddle -- who is listed as questionable after being a limited practice participant all week -- is able to make his return from a two-game absence due to a high-ankle sprain.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Another limited listing

Hill (ankle/quadricep) was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's walk-through practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Hill was also listed as limited on Tuesday's practice estimate, but at this stage, his status for Saturday's playoff opener against the Chiefs doesn't appear to be in question. With that in mind, head coach Mike McDaniel told Furones earlier Wednesday that he's not concerned about either injury that Hill is tending to leading up to the wild-card contest. The Dolphins will post their final Week 18 injury report Thursday, when it will be known whether the wideout carries an injury designation into the weekend.
