  • Bears' Keenan Allen: Breakout effort in London win

Allen brought in all five targets for 41 yards and two touchdowns in the Bears' 35-16 win over the Jaguars on Sunday in London. The veteran wideout finally had his first truly productive showing in a Bears uniform, with Allen securing touchdown grabs of nine and three yards in the third and fourth quarters, respectively. Allen finished tied with Cole Kmet for the team lead in receptions and second to his teammate in receiving yards while posting season-high totals in both categories. Allen's fantasy value is still likely to be capped on the weeks he doesn't get into the end zone, but Sunday's performance at least affords him some much-needed momentum heading into a Week 7 bye.

  • Bears' Keenan Allen: Just three catches again

Allen caught three of six targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 36-10 win over the Panthers. Allen set a season high in receiving yards, but he has yet to post a breakout performance with the Bears. A two-game absence due to a heel injury contributed to his slow start, so at least Allen appears healthy after suiting up for each of Chicago's last two games. The veteran wide receiver has a nice opportunity to get on track in a Week 6 London matchup against a weak Jacksonville secondary.

  • Bears' Keenan Allen: WRs to Sit

D.J. Moore is the only Bears receiver to trust in Week 5 against Carolina, and he gets a revenge game against his former team. Allen has to show he can co-exist in this crowded receiving corps for the Bears and connect with Caleb Williams consistently. The two have played just two games together this season, but Allen only has seven catches for 48 yards and no touchdowns on 14 targets. I'm hopeful better days are ahead for Allen, but he's just a low-end No. 3 Fantasy receiver in most leagues for Week 5.

  • Bears' Keenan Allen: Three grabs in return

Allen brought in all three targets for 19 yards in the Bears' 24-18 win over the Rams on Sunday. Making his return from a two-game absence due to a heel injury, Allen was a complementary piece of the passing attack on a day when Caleb Williams threw for only 157 yards and a touchdown. Despite the modest numbers Sunday, fantasy managers can take some solace in the fact DJ Moore and Rome Odunze, Allen's fellow wideouts, combined for just four catches and 32 receiving yards in their own right. Allen could have a larger role in a favorable Week 5 home matchup against the Panthers.

  • Bears' Keenan Allen: Active in Week 4

Allen (heel) is active for Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Rams. The veteran wideout was able to work back to a full practice Friday after opening the week with consecutive limited sessions, and his Week 4 return now is official. Allen will be taking the field for the first time since Week 1, when he provided a 4-29-0 line on 11 targets. With Allen back in the fold Sunday, rookie first-round pick Rome Odunze, who's coming off a career-best 6-112-1 line against the Colts in Week 3, is expected to slide back into a No. 3 receiver role versus Los Angeles.

  • Bears' Keenan Allen: Plans to play in Week 4

Allen (heel), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Rams, is planning on playing, per NFL Insider Jordan Schultz. Allen was reportedly already expected to give it a go in Week 4 after missing the Bears' last two contests due to a heel injury, but head coach Matt Eberflus confirmed Saturday that the plan is for the wide receiver to play. The 32-year-old caught four of 11 targets for 29 yards in Week 1 versus the Titans, and he'll look to build off of that against Los Angeles.

  • Bears' Keenan Allen: Listed as questionable after FP

Allen (heel) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams after upgrading to full practice participation Friday. Players that finish the week as full participants almost always play, but Allen's case remains worth monitoring given that his heel problems date back to last season and may be a lingering theme this year. He caught four of 11 targets for 29 yards in a Week 1 win over the Titans before aggravating his injury in the fourth quarter and missing the next two games. If Allen avoids the inactive list ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff, his presence will lower volume projections for all of Chicago's other pass catchers while knocking DeAndre Carter out of his spot in three-wide sets. Fellow wideout Rome Odunze has avoided a designation on the final injury report after a hip issue limited his practice participation Thursday.

  • Bears' Keenan Allen: Another limited showing

Allen (heel) practiced on a limited basis Thursday. Allen played through a heel issue Week 1 against the Titans en route to four catches (on 11 targets) for 29 yards. He then was held out of all drills during prep for Weeks 2 and 3 before returning to practice Wednesday. With consecutive capped sessions in his back pocket this week, Allen seems to be putting himself in a position to suit up again Sunday versus the Rams, but Friday's injury report will reveal whether or not he enters the weekend with a designation. Meanwhile, rookie WR Rome Odunze (hip) showed up on Thursday's report as a limited participant, adding another question mark to the Bears' receiving corps.

  • Bears' Keenan Allen: Officially limited Wednesday

Allen (heel) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. Allen's official listing on Wednesday's practice report is confirmation of what head coach Matt Eberflus said earlier in the day, when he noted that the veteran wideout would resume practicing as a partial participant. Eberflus also said he's "hopeful" Allen will be able to both return to the field for Sunday's game against the Rams, after having missed the Bears' previous two contests. Allen will have two more opportunities to upgrade to full participation in practice prior to Sunday's contest.

  • Bears' Keenan Allen: Ruled out for Week 3

Allen (heel) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Colts, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports. Allen hasn't practiced at all since aggravating his heel injury during a Week 1 win over the Titans. He'll now miss a second straight game, whereas fellow Bears wideout Rome Odunze (knee) avoided an injury designation after upgrading to full practice participation Friday.

  • Bears' Keenan Allen: No practice Thursday

Allen (heel) didn't participate in practice Thursday. Allen was listed with a heel injury during Week 1 prep but still suited up in the Bears' season-opening win against the Titans, turning 11 targets into four catches for 29 yards. Since then, he hasn't logged any practice reps and also didn't play Week 2 at Houston. As such, Allen may need to mix into drills Friday to give him a chance to be available Sunday in Indianapolis.

  • Bears' Keenan Allen: No practice, listed as questionable

Allen (heel) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Houston after missing another practice Friday. Fellow wideout Rome Odunze (knee) returned to practice Friday as a limited participant and also is listed as questionable. Allen's absences from Wednesday through Friday aren't the best sign, but the Bears at least are leaving the door open ahead of a 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday night. Allen dealt with the heel injury for much of August and aggravated it in the fourth quarter of a Week 1 win over the Titans.

  • Bears' Keenan Allen: Misses practice Thursday

Allen (heel) didn't take part in Thursday's practice. Allen was able to suit up Week 1 against the Titans after going limited, limited and full on the first three practice reports of the season due to a heel injury. He's kicked off this week with back-to-back absences, but coach Matt Eberflus said Wednesday that the veteran wide receiver was getting the day off for rest purposes, per Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com. Position mate Rome Odunze (knee) also hasn't practiced this week, so Friday's report may be telling for the duo's odds to suit up Sunday in Houston.

  • Bears' Keenan Allen: Resting heel injury Wednesday

Bears head coach Matt Eberflus said that Allen will receive Wednesday's practice off to manage a heel injury, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports. Allen appears to still be dealing with the heel injury he initially picked up mid-August. He briefly went into the injury tent during the Bears' win over the Titans in Week 1, though he was able to finish out the contest. Though Allen will appear on the Bears' initial Week 2 injury report, Eberflus' characterization of the receiver's absence Wednesday as a rest day suggests that Allen's status for Sunday's game against the Texans isn't in much jeopardy. Meanwhile, rookie wideout Rome Odunze (knee) is considered day-to-day due to an MCL sprain and appears far less likely than Allen to play Week 2.

  • Bears' Keenan Allen: Top target in Chicago

Allen recorded four receptions on 11 targets for 29 yards in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Titans. Like the entire Chicago offense, Allen disappointed in Week 1. He was extremely inefficient, averaging only 2.6 yards per target with a long reception of nine yards. Positively, Allen was the most-targeted option of the Bears' three top receivers, so when Caleb Williams presumably improves, Allen should be a significant beneficiary.

  • Bears' Keenan Allen: Active in Week 1

Allen (heel) is listed as active Sunday against the Titans. On Aug. 28, Bears GM Ryan Poles relayed to Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com that Allen was dealing with discomfort in his foot, but the expectation at the time was that the veteran wide receiver would be available Week 1. Allen kicked off this week with back-to-back limited showings due to a listed heel injury, but despite progressing to a full session Friday, he entered the weekend as questionable to play Sunday. Now that his status is confirmed, he'll serve as one of Chicago's top pass catchers for rookie QB Caleb Williams along with fellow WRs DJ Moore and Rome Odunze and TE Cole Kmet.

  • Bears' Keenan Allen: Questionable despite full practice

Allen (heel) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans, despite upgrading to full practice participation Friday. The upgrade to 'full' after limited practices Wednesday and Thursday suggests Allen is on track to play. He was first reported to be dealing with foot discomfort last Wednesday, and there subsequently hasn't been any indication of a serious injury. Any limitations or in-game setbacks could help rookie wideout Rome Odunze get more playing time in his regular-season debut.

  • Bears' Keenan Allen: Limited by heel injury

Allen was listed as a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a heel injury. Allen sat out practice Aug. 28 due to discomfort in his foot, but the issue since has been clarified to be to his heel. After returning to drills Wednesday, he'll have two more opportunities this week to get back to full activity before the Bears potentially give him a designation ahead of Sunday's contest against the Titans. If he remains banged up or even is sidelined this weekend, Allen's absence would open up targets for DJ Moore and rookie first-rounder Rome Odunze.

  • Bears' Keenan Allen: Hoping to play long beyond 2024

Allen said Monday that he's "going to play as long as I can" and is willing to sign an extension with Chicago, Patrick Finley of the Chicago-Sun Times reports. The Bears reportedly haven't held extension talks with Allen since acquiring him from the Chargers in March, which isn't exactly a surprise given that they used a first-round pick on receiver Rome Odunze six weeks later and may want to sign DJ Moore to an extension this offseason. Regardless of what happens with the contracts, No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams will have one of the best wideout trios in the league, with Moore and Allen both coming off 2023 seasons with career highs for yards per game. Allen is likely looking at a big volume dip in his age-32 season after averaging a league-high 11.5 targets in his 13 games for the Chargers in 2023, but he doesn't seem to be thinking about retirement just yet, instead perhaps counting on another productive season and a big fourth contract. He's expected to be the Bears' slot receiver in three-wide formations and their "Z" receiver in two-wide looks.

  • Bears' Keenan Allen: Part of loaded offense in Chicago

Allen, DJ Moore and Rome Odunze all worked out with new Bears QB Caleb Williams in April, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports. Williams and Odunze weren't on the team at the time, though in Williams' case everyone knew he'd be going to Chicago with the No. 1 overall pick of the 2024 Draft. The Bears then took Odunze eight picks later, completing a fearsome WR trio with Allen and Moore. It's a situation that will make it nearly impossible for Allen to match his target volume from his years in San Diego and Los Angeles, even if Odunze needs some time to adjust to the pro game. Allen celebrated his 32nd birthday during the draft and is entering the final year of his contract, with GM Ryan Poles having said in March that he expected the veteran WR to sign an extension at some point. It's unclear if the Odunze selection changes the expectation for Allen to sign a multi-year deal, as the Bears have enough cap flexibility to keep all three WRs for the next few seasons if that's what they choose to prioritize.
