Braves' Michael Harris: Tending to Grade 2 hamstring strain
Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said Saturday that Harris has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain and is without a timetable for a return, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
Harris was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday after straining the hamstring in Friday's game against the Rays. Given that Harris' strain is of moderate severity, he'll likely be sidelined for well beyond the minimum 10 days. Atlanta selected the contract of outfielder Ramon Laureano from Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding transaction, and he could end up filling Harris' spot in the big club's everyday outfield.

Braves' Michael Harris: Placed on 10-day IL
Harris (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday.
As expected, Harris will now be sidelined for at least 10 days while nursing a strained left hamstring. Ramon Laureano was selected from Triple-A Gwinnett to replace Harris on the major-league roster, while Spencer Strider (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list to complete the corresponding moves.

Braves' Michael Harris: Bound for injured list
Atlanta will place Harris (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list Saturday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
Harris had to make an early exit from Friday's game versus Tampa Bay due to tightness in his left hamstring, and the team has already deemed his injury severe enough to warrant a trip to the IL. The 23-year-old outfielder will receive an MRI on his hamstring Saturday, at which point the team will have a better idea of how long he will be out. In the meantime, Harris' absence opens a spot in Atlanta's outfield for J.P. Martinez to potentially see consistent playing time.

Braves' Michael Harris: Exits Friday's game
Harris was removed from Friday's game against the Rays due to left hamstring tightness.
Harris strained his left hamstring while running from first base to third in the bottom of the first inning. J.P. Martinez pinch ran for Harris and took over in center field. The severity of Harris' injury isn't yet known.

Batting seventh in an Atlanta lineup that got juggled around in the wake of a season-ending knee injury to Ronald Acuna, Harris reached base twice for the fourth time in the last six games. The 23-year-old center fielder is still looking to regain his usual form, but he's showing signs of heating up -- over his last 16 contests, he's slashing .290/.333/.403 with two of his five homers and three of his eight steals on the year.

Harris went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Cubs.
Harris started May in a dreadful 0-for-26 slump, but he's snapped out of it by going 10-for-39 (.256) with two homers, two steals, four RBI and three runs scored over his last 10 contests. The outfielder is slashing .250/.289/.378 with five homers, seven steals, 17 RBI and 19 runs scored through 45 games this season. Harris hit over .290 and flirted with 20-20 years in each of his first two big-league campaigns, so there's still another level he can get back to as he rebounds from his slump.

Harris went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's 7-0 win over the Cubs.
The 23-year-old center fielder snapped a 20-game homer drought by taking Jameson Taillon deep in the fourth inning, kicking off a six-run frame that blew the game wide open. Harris is just one of a number of Atlanta hitters who has had a sluggish start to the season -- Tuesday's long ball was his first extra-base hit of any kind since April 26 -- but he may be heating up, as he has five hits and two walks over the last four games, lifting his slash line on the year to .260/.305/.390.

Harris notched his fifth multi-hit game of his last six appearances, and capped off his three-hit day with a leadoff double in the 10th inning to score Ronald Acuna and cement an Atlanta win. He was caught stealing for the second time in seven attempts this season, keeping him from an even bigger line. Harris is batting .480 with four RBI, four stolen bases and four runs scored in his last six outings.

Left-handed starter Andrew Heaney held Harris hitless in his two at-bats against him, but the 23-year-old outfielder singled in the sixth inning to set up a four-run frame for Atlanta, and his solo homer in the eighth gave the team an extra bit of insurance against the reigning World Series champions. Harris has now collected a hit in 12 of his last 13 games and is slashing .263/.276/.421 in that span.
