Yankees' Agustin Ramirez: Moves up to Triple-A
The Yankees promoted Ramirez from Double-A Somerset to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.
Ramirez, 22, earned the promotion by slashing .290/.372/.570 with 16 home runs and 13 stolen bases over 58 games with Somerset. He plays catcher and first base and will slide into a spot on the Triple-A roster vacated by Ben Rice, who was called up by the Yankees on Tuesday.

Yankees' Agustin Ramirez: Sent to Double-A
The Yankees optioned Ramirez to Double-A Somerset on Saturday.
Ramirez joined the Yankees' 40-man roster in November after moving up from Single-A to Double-A in 2023. He slashed .211/.273./.313 with two home runs and 11 RBI over 139 plate appearances in Double-A last season and will start 2024 with Somerset.

The Yankees selected Ramirez to their 40-man roster Tuesday.
After starting the season in Single-A, Ramirez hit his way up to Double-A Somerset, where his bat cooled down significantly to end the year. The 22-year-old Ramirez is now the sixth catcher on the Yankees' 40-man roster.
