Kawhi Leonard SF | LAC
Clippers' Kawhi Leonard: Resting Thursday
Coach Tyronn Lue said before Wednesday's 126-67 win over the Nets that Leonard (rest) wouldn't play in Thursday's game against Portland, independent NBA writer Justin Russo reports.
Leonard saw his minutes restriction lighten Wednesday, and he logged 23 points (8-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-7 FT), two rebounds and one steal across 24 minutes. However, as part of his ramp-up process, Leonard will be held out of the second end of the back-to-back. His absence Thursday should open up more minutes for Nicolas Batum, Derrick Jones and Amir Coffey.

Noah Clowney PF | BKN
Nets' Noah Clowney: Ejected Wednesday
Clowney was ejected from Wednesday's game against the Clippers after receiving his second technical foul, independent NBA writer Justin Russo reports.
Clowney was assessed back-to-back technical fouls late in the third quarter and was ejected from the contest. He finishes the game with four points (1-6 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and one rebound across 20 minutes. He should be back in action Friday against the Lakers.

Paul George SF | PHI
76ers' Paul George: Third straight 25-point effort
George (ankle) totaled 26 points (9-20 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds, six assists and three steals over 43 minutes during Wednesday's 125-119 overtime loss to the Knicks.
After missing Tuesday's loss to the Thunder with an ankle issue, George didn't miss a beat Wednesday while turning in his third consecutive game with at least 25 points. The 34-year-old forward is beginning to look like the All-Star version of himself fantasy managers have grown accustomed seeing to over the years, as George is averaging 22.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.4 steals and 3.7 threes while shooting 44.1 percent from beyond the arc across his last seven contests. Should former MVP Joel Embiid (foot) remain on the shelf for Saturday's matchup with the Pacers, George would continue handling additional playmaking duties for the 76ers, which would also likely translate to amplified fantasy value.

Kelly Oubre Jr. SG | PHI
76ers' Kelly Oubre: Fifth double-double of season
Oubre posted 16 points (7-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals in 45 minutes during Wednesday's 125-119 overtime loss to the Knicks.
Oubre registered his fifth double-double of the campaign Wednesday, providing a full stat line for the 76ers as well. The 29-year-old swingman has hit double-digit points and recorded multiple steals in six of his last seven outings, a stretch where he's averaging 16.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.9 steals, 1.7 assists and 0.7 threes in 37.4 minutes. Oubre should continue taking on an augmented role for however long the absence of superstar big man Joel Embiid (foot) lasts.

Terance Mann SG | LAC
Clippers' Terance Mann: Won't return Wednesday
Mann has been ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday's game against the Nets due to left calf soreness, Joey Linn of SI.com reports. He logged five points (2-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt), two rebounds and one block across eight minutes before exiting.
Mann was ruled out due to the injury shortly after halftime. With the Clippers on the first night of a back-to-back and already up 30 on Brooklyn, it's likely they're just being cautious with Mann. If he's able to suit up for Thursday's contest, Mann could see an expanded role as the Clippers are expected to rest Kawhi Leonard. Look for Amir Coffey and Kris Dunn to see more minutes down the stretch Wednesday.

Tyrese Maxey PG | PHI
76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Team-high 33 points not enough
Maxey (hand) finished Wednesday's 125-119 overtime loss to the Knicks with 33 points (13-32 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 5-5 FT), six rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal over 46 minutes.
It was a fifth straight game with at least 29 points for Maxey, who fought off a hand injury as he continued to act as Philadelphia's top scoring option in the absence of Joel Embiid (foot) on Wednesday. Maxey has been sensational for the 76ers over his last eight appearances where Embiid has been out of the lineup since Dec. 16, as the former is averaging 30.8 points, 6.8 assists, 3.4 rebounds, 2.4 steals and 3.8 threes in 40.4 minutes during these instances. If Embiid can't return for Saturday's matchup with Indiana, Maxey would be primed for extreme usage once again.

Precious Achiuwa PF | NY
Knicks' Precious Achiuwa: Season-high 30 minutes sans Towns
Achiuwa chipped in 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, one assist, three blocks and one steal across 30 minutes during Wednesday's 125-119 overtime victory over the 76ers.
It was the first time Achiuwa reached double digits in scoring since a Jan. 6 loss to Orlando, and the 25-year-old ended up getting more playing time Wednesday than starting center Jericho Sims, who logged 23 minutes. Achiuwa has now played three games this year with Karl-Anthony Towns (thumb) sidelined, averaging 8.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 blocks and 0.7 steals in 26.8 minutes while shooting 73.3 percent from the field through this interval. With Towns' status up in the air ahead of Friday's clash with the Timberwolves, Achiuwa appears to be worth a speculative add in deep fantasy leagues.

Jonathan Kuminga PF | GS
Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga: Sheds walking boot
Kuminga (ankle) wasn't wearing a walking boot Wednesday but remains in the middle stages of his recovery, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.
Kuminga suffered a significant lateral right ankle sprain Jan. 4 and was set for re-evaluation three weeks after the injury. He had been wearing a walking boot since but was spotted Wednesday without it for the first time. Kuminga is still not close to returning and the update doesn't necessarily mean he's ahead of schedule. However, it's worth noting he has been making progression in his recovery.

Jalen Brunson PG | NY
Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Game-high 38 points as focal point
Brunson (shoulder) notched a game-high 38 points (14-22 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 7-9 FT), five rebounds, four assists and two steals across 45 minutes during Wednesday's 125-119 overtime victory over the 76ers.
Brunson served as the focal point of New York's offense with Karl-Anthony Towns (thumb) sidelined Wednesday, delivering a game-high 38 points while playing through a shoulder issue to power the Knicks past the 76ers. Brunson has now played four games this season with Towns unavailable, averaging 32.5 points, 6.3 assists, 3.3 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 2.3 threes in 39.8 minutes during this period. With Towns' status in the dark for Friday's showdown with the Timberwolves, Brunson may have to continue doing the heavy lifting on offense for the Knicks in a tough matchup.

Josh Hart SF | NY
Knicks' Josh Hart: Fifth triple-double of season
Hart totaled 10 points (4-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 17 rebounds, 12 assists and four steals across 49 minutes during Wednesday's 125-119 overtime victory over the 76ers.
It was the fifth triple-double of the season for Hart, who also corralled a season-high 17 rebounds for the Knicks in the absence of superstar big man Karl-Anthony Towns (thumb) on Wednesday. Hart is now riding a six-game double-double streak as well, averaging 14.2 points, 13.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.8 steals and 0.8 threes in 38.9 minutes during this span. The 29-year-old wing is nearly putting up career-high figures across the board in 2024-25, and Hart should continue flourishing from a fantasy perspective as long as he's handling such heavy playing time.
