  • Jets' Garrett Wilson: Ties Adams for team targets lead

Wilson caught five of nine targets for 61 yards and caught a two-point conversion in Sunday's 37-15 loss to the Steelers. Wilson's first game after the arrival of trade acquisition Davante Adams was a mixed bag. Wilson caught a two-point conversion to put the Jets up 15-6 in the second quarter, but he was the intended receiver on both of Aaron Rodgers' interceptions during Pittsburgh's ensuing 31-0 run, with the second of those bouncing off Wilson's chest and right to a defender. The two big-name wide receivers had nine targets apiece in Sunday's loss, suggesting they are capable of co-existing, and Wilson posted his third-highest receiving yardage total of the season. Wilson will look to find more success in a Week 8 rematch with a Patriots defense that held him to a season-low 33 receiving yards in Week 3.

  • Jets' Garrett Wilson: Faces new competition for targets

Wilson could see his target share take a hit after the Jets acquired Davante Adams (hamstring) from Las Vegas on Tuesday, Lucas Hutcherson of SNY.tv reports. Wilson has been the clear top wideout through his first two-plus seasons in New York, and he turned in 1,000-yard receiving campaigns in 2022 and 2023 despite substandard quarterback play. After a slow first four games of the 2024 season with four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers under center, Wilson has gotten in sync with the veteran signal-caller and has hauled in 21 of 33 targets for 208 yards and two touchdowns over the last two contests. Though he should continue to see a substantial role, the arrival of Adams -- a six-time Pro Bowler who previously spent eight seasons in Green Bay with Rodgers -- likely means that Wilson will have to settle for being Option 1B in the passing game. On the other hand, the addition of Adams should help divert some attention from Wilson, and perhaps lead to higher-quality looks that uplift the Jets offense as a whole. Wilson still profiles as a must-start fantasy option in nearly every format, even if his weekly production becomes more volatile.

  • Jets' Garrett Wilson: Back-to-back games over 100 yards

Wilson caught eight of 10 targets for 107 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 23-20 loss to the Bills. Wilson put the Jets up 10-7 with a five-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter, but that turned out to be New York's last lead of the game. He has exceeded 100 receiving yards in consecutive games after averaging 47.8 receiving yards in Weeks 1-4, so Wilson's trending up ahead of a Week 7 trip to Pittsburgh for Sunday Night Football. Wilson also has scored a touchdown in three of the last four games as he continues to improve his chemistry with Aaron Rodgers.

  • Jets' Garrett Wilson: Racks up 13 catches in loss

Wilson recorded 13 receptions on 22 targets for 101 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Vikings. Wilson benefitted from the Jets falling behind 17-0 before halftime and impressively drew 22 of the team's 51 targets. That was the primary reason for optimism in the performance, as he still struggled to pair up efficiently with Aaron Rodgers by averaging only 4.6 yards per target. Despite that concerning sign, Wilson's productivity in this game was positive, headlined by his second touchdown and first 100-yard effort of the campaign.

  • Jets' Garrett Wilson: Slow start continues

Wilson caught five of eight targets for 41 yards and lost a fumble in Sunday's 10-9 loss to the Broncos. Wilson fumbled at the end of a seven-yard catch on New York's opening drive and wasn't targeted again in the first half. He was more involved after halftime, but Wilson notably failed to get on the same page with Aaron Rodgers on a key pass that would have put the Jets into field-goal range on the team's penultimate possession. A combination of inclement weather and tight coverage from Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain limited Wilson's effectiveness Sunday, but this game continued a pattern of underwhelming performances from the Jets' No. 1 wide receiver. Wilson has yet to exceed 60 receiving yards in a game this season heading into a Week 5 matchup against the Vikings in London.

  • Jets' Garrett Wilson: Bust Alert

Here's what Denver cornerback Patrick Surtain has done so far against opposing No. 1 receivers. In Week 1, he held DK Metcalf to three catches for 29 yards on four targets. In Week 2, George Pickens had two catches for 29 yards on four targets. In Week 3, Surtain held Mike Evans to two catches for 17 yards on three targets. Now, it's Wilson's turn to face Surtain. I would only start Wilson in three-receiver leagues in Week 4.

  • Jets' Garrett Wilson: Records touchdown in Week 3 win

Wilson brought in five of nine targets for 33 yards and a touchdown in the Jets' 24-3 win over the Patriots on Thursday night. Wilson tied Tyler Conklin for the team lead in receptions while setting the pace in targets. The third-year receiver's scoring grab was his long-awaited first in conjunction with Aaron Rodgers and came from two yards out with just over six minutes remaining in the third quarter. The Jets' air attack saw eight different players record receptions Thursday, but Wilson remains its clear No. 1 option heading into a Week 4 home battle against the Broncos on Sunday, Sept. 29.

  • Jets' Garrett Wilson: Eleven targets in Week 1 loss

Wilson caught six of 11 targets for 60 yards in Monday's 32-19 loss to the 49ers. All 46 of Wilson's first-half receiving yards came on the Jets' touchdown drive on the third possession, but Aaron Rodgers threw for only two yards on the team's other five first-half possessions. Allen Lazard led the Jets' passing game with 89 yards and two touchdown catches in the second half, while Wilson remained stuck in first gear. Expectations are high for Wilson with a healthy Rodgers after the 2022 first-round draft pick began his career with a pair of 1,000-yard seasons despite abhorrent quarterback play. Wilson's volume Monday was encouraging, but he'll look to pick up the production Week 2 against a Titans defense that's much less intimidating than San Francisco's, even with the offseason addition of cornerback L'Jarius Sneed.

  • Jets' Garrett Wilson: Not on track to play

Wilson is one of the 31 Jets not expected to dress for Saturday's preseason game at Carolina, Randy Lange of NYJets.com reports. The Jets will hold out most of their veteran starters and top backups, allowing rookies and roster-bubble players to handle most of the snaps. The list of players not expected to be in uniform includes QBs Aaron Rodgers and Tyrod Taylor, RB Breece Hall, WRs Xavier Gipson, Allen Lazard and Malik Taylor and TEs Tyler Conklin and Jeremy Ruckert. The team also held Wilson out of its first preseason game and may not play him until Week 1.

  • Jets' Garrett Wilson: Fine after neck injury Sunday

Speaking with the media Monday, Wilson said his neck is fine after he was forced to leave Week 18's win over the Patriots, Connor Hughes of SNY.tv reports. Wilson took a glancing blow to the head from New England safety Jabrill Peppers in the season finale and exited after 38 offensive snaps. The wideout underwent an evaluation for a concussion and was diagnosed with a neck issue. It doesn't sound like he's dealing with anything significant, and Wilson should have a normal offseason after catching 95 passes for 1,042 yards and three touchdowns this season. Wilson's 168 targets were the fourth most in the NFL, trailing only CeeDee Lamb (181), Davante Adams (175) and Tyreek Hill (171). Getting Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) back healthy for 2024 should provide a big boost to Wilson's efficiency and touchdown upside.

  • Jets' Garrett Wilson: Leaves finale with neck injury

Wilson cleared concussion protocol but exited Sunday's 17-3 win over the Patriots with a neck injury, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports. He caught two of five targets for 34 yards, bringing his season totals to 95 catches for 1,042 yards and three touchdowns on 168 targets. Wilson dressed in all 17 games for the second consecutive season, but the 2022 first-round draft pick took a modest step back after racking up 1,103 yards and four touchdowns as a rookie. Poor quarterback play once again held Wilson back, as Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles just four plays into the season, paving the way for a combination of Zach Wilson, Tim Boyle and Trevor Siemian to share the workload under center for the Jets. The receiver Wilson will have plenty of time to recover from his neck injury in the offseason, and his production could benefit significantly in 2024 if Rodgers is able to play near his pre-injury level.

  • Jets' Garrett Wilson: Undergoing concussion evaluation

Wilson has exited Sunday's game against the Patriots to be evaluated for a concussion, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports. Wilson sustained a hard hit to the head when Patriots safety Jabrill Peppers collided with him following an incomplete pass in the third quarter. The second-year wideout has helped off the field before being taken to the locker room, per Rich Cimini of ESPN.com. Wilson exited the game with two catches (on five targets) for a team-high 34 receiving yards. With the Jets already eliminated from playoff contention, it's likely that the team will take every precaution with the 2022 first-round pick, who came into Sunday's action with 93 receptions for 1,008 yards and three touchdowns this season.

  • Jets' Garrett Wilson: WRs to Sit

Wilson only had five catches for 48 yards on nine targets against New England in Week 3, and he's now scored fewer than 10 PPR points in two of three career meetings with the Patriots. Wilson has also scored fewer than 10 PPR points in three of his past five games overall, and he has one touchdown since Week 2 and none in his past five outings. In their past five games, New England has held Keenan Allen (10.8 PPR points), George Pickens (6.9 PPR points) and Stefon Diggs (7.1 PPR points) to minimal production, and Wilson should only be started in three-receiver leagues in Week 18.

  • Jets' Garrett Wilson: Modest numbers in Week 17 loss

Wilson brought in five of 10 targets for 50 yards in the Jets' 37-20 loss to the Browns on Thursday night. He also netted minus-1 yard on his only carry. Wilson led the Jets in receiving yards and targets, although that didn't add up to much in terms of fantasy production. The talented receiver was once again the victim of a heavy dose of dink-and-dunk passing by Trevor Siemian, who averaged only 5.8 yards per attempt. Wilson did cross the 1,000-yard mark for the second time in as many seasons with Thursday night's production, and he'll head into the Week 18 regular-season finale on Sunday, Jan. 7 against the Patriots needing seven receptions to reach the 100-catch mark.

  • Jets' Garrett Wilson: Season high in targets Sunday

Wilson caught nine of 15 targets for 76 yards in Sunday's 30-28 win over the Commanders. With Trevor Siemian under center instead of Zach Wilson (concussion), Wilson the wideout saw a season high in target volume but didn't get many opportunities to stretch the field, as his longest reception went for only 16 yards. Running back Breece Hall ended up leading the Jets in catches, targets and receiving yards as Siemian stuck to a dink-and-dunk game plan. Wilson effectively remains a one-man show among the Jets' receiving corps, although Jason Brownlee did catch one pass among his three targets for an eight-yard TD on Sunday. High volume won't necessarily lead to big production for Wilson in Week 17 against a fierce Browns defense.

  • Jets' Garrett Wilson: WRs to Start

We'll see who starts at quarterback for the Jets in Week 16 with Zach Wilson still in the concussion protocol Wednesday, but I would start Garrett Wilson against the Commanders even with Trevor Siemian under center. The matchup against Washington is too good since the Commanders are No. 2 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers. In Washington's past five games, eight receivers have scored at least 14.7 PPR points, with nine touchdowns. Wilson struggled in Week 15 at Miami with three catches for 29 yards on four targets, but he should rebound this week given the matchup at home. This is the last home game for the Jets this year, and Wilson scored at least 13 PPR points in six of eight outings in his stadium.

  • Jets' Garrett Wilson: Season-high yardage total in win

Wilson caught nine of 14 targets for 108 yards and added a three-yard run in Sunday's 30-6 win over the Texans. Wilson had consecutive receptions of 16 and seven yards on New York's second and third offensive plays, but his only other contribution in the first half was a three-yard jet sweep in the second quarter to convert on fourth-and-1. He got going again coming out of halftime, catching three passes for 55 yards on the first drive of the second half to set up a 15-yard Randall Cobb touchdown. That touchdown opened the floodgates to a 30-point second half from the Jets, and Wilson ultimately set a season high in receiving yards while tying his season high in targets. Zach Wilson also threw for a season-high 301 yards, so New York's passing game is heating up heading into a Week 15 trip to Miami.

  • Jets' Garrett Wilson: WRs to Start

Garrett Wilson gets Zach Wilson back at quarterback in Week 14 against Houston, and while that doesn't sound encouraging, it is better than having Tim Boyle or Trevor Siemian under center. Garrett Wilson scored at least 13 PPR points in four of his past five games with Zach Wilson, and he had at least eight targets in each of his past five outings. The Texans have allowed seven of the past eight No. 1 receivers to score at least 12.7 PPR points, and nine receivers have scored at least 15.2 PPR points against Houston this year. With Zach Wilson back, you can trust Garrett Wilson as a No. 2 PPR receiver again in Week 14.

  • Jets' Garrett Wilson: Modest numbers against Falcons

Wilson caught three of seven targets for 50 yards in Sunday's 13-8 loss to the Falcons. After being targeted only once in the first half, Wilson came alive on the Jets' first possession of the third quarter, starting the second half with a 31-yard catch before adding a nine-yard reception to convert a fourth down. He had a 22-yard toe-tapping catch along the sideline overturned on a challenge later on the same drive, so the Jets had to settle for a field goal to cut Atlanta's lead to 10-8. Wilson didn't add another catch the rest of the way, nor did the Jets score again, as a change in quarterback from Tim Boyle to Trevor Siemian in the fourth quarter proved futile. Regardless of which quarterback the Jets tab to start in Week 14 against the Texans, Wilson's potential will remain held back by poor play under center with Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) still recovering.
