Holland and the Giants reached agreement Tuesday on a three-year contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The deal reportedly has a base value of $45.3 million and can pay him up to $46.8 million, with $30.3 million guaranteed. That puts Holland well behind fellow safeties Antoine Winfield, Derwin James, Minkah Fitzpatrick and Budda Baker, but it's at least in line with the second/third tiers of contracts at his position. Holland turned 25 earlier in March, after averaging 75.3 tackles, 6.3 pass defenses, 1.3 interceptions, 1.3 sacks, 1.3 forced fumbles and 1.0 fumble recoveries in four seasons with the Dolphins. He played 60 of a possible 68-regular season games, becoming an every-down player Week 5 of his rookie campaign and never relinquishing the role.... See More ... See Less

Dolphins' Jevon Holland: Not getting franchise tag
Miami isn't expected to place a franchise tag on Holland, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. Holland continued to play a key role for the Dolphins last season, starting in all 15 games in which he played. However, the free safety finished with a career-low 62 tackles and didn't record an interception for the first time since coming into the league in 2021. If Miami indeed declines to put a franchise tag on him, Holland will become a free agent.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Jevon Holland: Career-low tackling output in 2024
Holland finished the 2024 regular season with 62 tackles (42 solo), including 1.0 sacks, four pass defenses and one forced fumble across 15 games. Despite playing three more games than in 2023, Holland's 62 combined tackles were his lowest of his four-year NFL career. His highest tackling output came in the Dolphins' regular-season finale against the Jets, when he finished with seven tackles (four solo) and one pass defense while playing every single defensive snap. The 2021 second-round pick has played in Miami for his entire career, but he enters the offseason as an unrestricted free agent and should get plenty of interest from teams in need of a starting-caliber safety.... Dolphins' Jevon Holland: Set to suit up Monday
Holland (knee/hand) is active for Monday's Week 10 matchup against the Rams. Holland had been questionable coming into Monday due to a knee injury that caused him to miss last Sunday's loss to Buffalo. He was able to log a pair of limited practices to end this week, and he'll return to the field for Monday Night Football. Holland's return could be big for a Miami secondary tasked with trying to contain Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, who are both healthy for the Rams.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Jevon Holland: Officially listed as questionable
Holland (knee) was a limited practice participant Saturday and is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Rams, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Holland was unable to play in Week 9 against Buffalo due to a knee injury he picked up against Arizona in Week 8. He returned to practice Friday, and after the session he told reporters that he'll be a game-time decision for Monday's game, per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. Marcus Maye got the start at free safety in Week 9 and would likely reprise that role Monday if Holland is sidelined.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Jevon Holland: Limited to open week
Holland (knee) was a limited practice participant Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Holland was forced to sit out for Week 9 against the Bills after suffering a knee injury in Week 8 against the Cardinals. He wasn't able to practice all of last week, so his ability to return Thursday, albeit in a limited fashion, indicates the 2021 second-round pick is trending in the right direction. Holland will have two more chances this week to increase his practice participation ahead of Monday's game against the Rams.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Jevon Holland: Out versus Bills
Holland (knee) is listed as inactive for Sunday's matchup with the Bills. No surprise here, as Holland was considered doubtful heading into the day. The Oregon product was unable to practice all week due to a knee injury sustained in last week's loss to the Cardinals. In his absence, Elijah Campbell is the likely candidate to start alongside Jordan Poyer at safety.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Jevon Holland: Doubtful for Week 9
Holland (hand/knee) is listed as doubtful ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Bills, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. The Oregon product didn't practice all week after sustaining a knee injury in the Dolphins' Week 8 loss to the Cardinals. Holland has been an integral part of Miami's defense, recording 26 total tackles and two defended passes in his five appearances this season. If he can't suit up Sunday as expected, Elijah Campbell will likely start alongside Jordan Poyer as part of the Dolphins' top safety duo.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Jevon Holland: Opens week with DNP
Holland (hand/knee) didn't practice Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Holland sustained a knee injury in the Dolphins' Week 8 loss to the Cardinals, so being held out of practice Wednesday's practice comes as no surprise. The fourth-year pro is likely a longshot to play in Miami's Week 9 matchup against the Bills, however, he'll have a greater chance to suit up if he can upgrade to at least limited participation Thursday or Friday.... Dolphins' Jevon Holland: Could play in Week 9?
Head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters Monday that Holland's knee injury won't require surgery, but it's still "too early to tell" if he'll be able to suit up for Sunday's matchup against the Bills, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports. Holland logged four total tackles across 17 defensive snaps before sustaining a knee injury that held him out of the second half of Miami's Week 8 loss to the Cardinals. McDaniel's comments Monday suggest that Holland avoided what could have been a serious injury, and his practice participation throughout the week will likely provide the best indication on whether the 24-year-old can return for the Dolphins' divisional matchup against the Bills in Week 9.... Dolphins' Jevon Holland: Questionable to return
Holland (knee) is questionable to return to Miami's game versus Arizona on Sunday. Holland was questionable heading into the game with a hand injury, but he has now picked up a knee injury as well. If the 24-year-old ends up being unable to return to Sunday's matchup, Marcus Maye will fill in for him at safety.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Jevon Holland: Limited to open week
Holland (hand) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Holland broke his hand in Week 5, and he was unable to return for Week 7 against the Colts after the Dolphins' bye. His limited participation in practice Wednesday is an encouraging sign that he could suit up against the Cardinals on Sunday. Holland has registered 22 tackles (14 solo), two pass breakups and one forced fumble across five games.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Jevon Holland: Inactive Sunday
Holland (hand) will not play in Sunday's game at Indianapolis. No surprise here, as Holland was deemed doubtful for the contest. He broke his hand in week 5 and will miss his first game as a result coming off the bye week. In his absence, Elijah Campbell will be the next in line at free safety.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Jevon Holland: Now considered day-to-day
Holland told reporters Wednesday that he's considered day-to-day with a hand injury, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports. Holland was originally considered week-to-week after sustaining a hand injury in the Dolphins' Week 5 win over the Patriots, but Wednesday's report indicates he could suit up as soon as Week 7. The Oregon product's participation in practice throughout the week will provide the best indication of whether he can play in Sunday's matchup against the Colts.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Jevon Holland: Leaves with injury
Holland (hand) has exited Sunday's game against the Patriots. Holland had five tackles (four solo) before exiting with the injury. Elijah Campbell will likely see extra opportunities while Holland, who is questionable to return, is sidelined.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Jevon Holland: Full participant Wednesday
Holland (undisclosed) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports. Holland has regained health leading up to Sunday's regular-season opener against the Jaguars. He's expected to remain the starting free safety for the Dolphins in 2024 after a well-rounded 2023 regular season in which he racked up 74 tackles, four passes defensed and three forced fumbles in 12 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Jevon Holland: Still day-to-day
Holland remains day-to-day due to an undisclosed issue, though he had a "good workout" Friday, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports. Holland hasn't practiced in over a week, but there hasn't been much concern expressed by Miami's coaching staff about the issue. Head coach Mike McDaniel previously described the injury as "something minor," and it's not clear if it's related to the knee injury that sidelined Holland during the postseason last year. Fellow safety Jordan Poyer (thumb) is also dealing with an injury, but at this point there's little doubt that both players will be ready for Week 1 of the regular season.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Jevon Holland: Won't suit up for wild-card game
Holland (knee) is inactive for Saturday's playoff contest against the Chiefs. Holland sat out Week 13 through Week 16 due to injuries to both his knees, but he was able to return for Miami's final two regular-season contests. However, he is clearly still far from being 100 percent, as he logged a trio of DNPs during practice this week and won't be able to participate in the opening round of the playoffs. With Holland out Saturday, Elijah Campbell will likely start at free safety.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Jevon Holland: Still listed as out
Holland (knee) was listed as a nonparticipant on the Dolphins' practice estimate for the second day in a row Wednesday. The starting safety played through the knee injury in the Dolphins' last two regular-season games, but he only managed 35 percent of the defensive snaps in the team's Week 18 loss to the Bills. Before returning for Miami's Week 17 matchup with Baltimore, Holland missed the previous four games. Elijah Campbell is next in line on the depth chart.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Jevon Holland: Downgrades to questionable
Holland (knee) was downgraded to questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Bills, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Holland began Miami's week of practice with back-to-back limited sessions due to a knee injury, and it seemed as if he'd moved past the issue after a full practice Friday and no injury designation for Sunday's game. He's now been deemed questionable for the Dolphins' regular-season finale, and if he's unable to suit up, expect Elijah Campbell to see increased opportunities in the team's secondary....
