  Green (undisclosed) was waived by Jacksonville on Friday with failure to disclose physical condition designation, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Green signed with the Jaguars this offseason after playing the 2023 season with the Bears and logging 15 tackles, including 2.0 sacks. The defensive end's future is up in the air.

Green spent last season with the Texans after a four-year stay with the Seahawks, who selected him in the third round of the 2018 Draft. Green accumulated 42 tackles (27 solo), 3.5 sacks and two passes defended last season, as a regular in Houston's defensive line rotation. He'll likely have a similar role with the Bears.

In his fourth NFL season at just 24 years old, Green posted a career high in sacks, tying Darrell Taylor for second on the team in the category. Green will be an unrestricted free agent in March, but the Seahawks have plenty of incentive to keep him around because the team's pass rush has struggled in recent years. However, it will have Taylor and veteran Carlos Dunlap signed for the 2022 season.
