  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Little action in blowout loss

Butker missed his only field-goal try and did not attempt a PAT in Sunday's 38-0 loss to the Broncos. Butker was blanked, just like the rest of his team, missing a 51-yard field goal late in the first half. The kicker will finish the regular season having gone 21-for-25 on field-goal tries while making 29 of 31 extra-point attempts over 13 games. We'll next see him out there in the divisional round, as the Chiefs earned the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Misses extra-point try Wednesday

Butker converted on his lone field-goal attempt and went 2-for-3 on his extra-point tries during the Chiefs' 29-10 win over the Steelers on Wednesday. Butker missed his first extra-point attempt of the game early in the first quarter, but it was a more difficult kick due to Xavier Worthy picking up a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after catching a seven-yard touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes. Butker had no problem connecting on his next two extra-point tries and nailed a 32-yard field goal early in the third quarter to give the Chiefs a nine-point lead. In the three games since returning from injured reserve, Butker has gone 3-for-4 on field-goal attempts and 8-for-9 on extra-point tries. Butker will likely have less scoring opportunities in Week 18 against the Broncos as the Chiefs figure to rest their starters after securing the No. 1 seed in the AFC with their win on Christmas Day.

  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Kicker to Sit

Butker is 2-of-3 on field goals and 6-of-6 on PATs in his two games back following a four-game absence with a knee injury. We'll see how he does in Week 17 at Pittsburgh, but this has been a tough matchup for opposing kickers. Only two kickers this season have scored double digits in Fantasy points against the Steelers. And for the season, opposing kickers are 21-of-28 on field goals, including six missed kicks in Pittsburgh.

  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Makes two field goals vs. Texans

Butker made both of his field-goal attempts and connected on his three extra-point tries in Saturday's 27-19 win over the Texans. Butker's longest field-goal attempt came from 44 yards. It was his second game back after returning from a four-game absence and IR stint due to a left knee injury. He has now made three field goals and six extra points without a miss since returning.

  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Starting Sunday

Butker (knee) was activated off injured reserve Saturday and does not carry an injury designation ahead of Sunday's contest against the Browns. As a result, Butker is set to return to his starting gig. The 28-year-old has missed just two field goals all year, both 50-plus yard attempts, and has missed just four field-goal attempts total dating back to the start of last season.

  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Trending toward playing

Butker (knee), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Browns, is expected to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The team will need to formally make the move before 4:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, but the Pro Bowl kicker is expected to return to his starting job despite Matthew Wright's reliability over the past two games (8-of-9 and a game-winning field goal). Butker has missed just four of his 55 field-goal attempts over the past two years.

  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Officially questionable for Week 15

Butker (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Cleveland. Since the Chiefs designated him for return from injured reserve Wednesday, Butker has put together three consecutive limited practices, thereby giving him a chance to play this weekend. He's been sidelined since Week 10 after undergoing a meniscus trim on his left knee on Nov. 15. Ultimately, in order for Butker to suit up Sunday, he'll need to be activated from IR by 4:00 p.m. ET on Saturday. Matthew Wright is lined up to kick if that doesn't occur.

  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Remains limited Thursday

Butker (knee) remained limited in Thursday's practice, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports. Butker is eligible to return from injured reserve in time for Sunday's game against the Browns, but it remains to be seen if Kansas City will activate him in time. Matthew Wright has handled kicking duties the last two weeks, going eight of nine on field goals and two for two on extra points in that span.

  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Limited in return to practice

Butker (knee) was a limited practice participant Wednesday. After the Chiefs designated him for return from injured reserve earlier Wednesday, Butker returned to practice Wednesday for the first time since sustaining a meniscus injury in early November that required a procedure. Per Adam Teicher of ESPN.com, head coach Andy Reid was non-committal about Butker being added back to the roster ahead of Sunday's game against the Browns, as the Chiefs presumably want to assess him in practice throughout the week before deciding on his status. If the Chiefs opt to keep Butker on IR this week, Matthew Wright would be in store for another turn as Kansas City's kicker.

  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Practicing, but iffy for Week 15

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said that Butker (knee) will be designated for return from injured reserve Wednesday, but the kicker's availability for Sunday's game against the Browns is still uncertain, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports. With Wednesday's transaction, the Chiefs will have a 21-day window to evaluate Butker before he would need to either be added back to the 53-man roster or spend the remainder of the season on IR. Though he can be activated from IR at any time, the Chiefs will wait and see how Butker fares in practice this week before deciding on his status for Sunday. Before he was shut down after requiring a meniscus trim on his left knee, Butker appeared in nine games and converted 18 of 20 field-goal attempts. During Butker's absence, the Chiefs have used two kickers, with Matthew Wright being the most recent replacement. If Butker is deemed to be anything less than 100 percent healthy heading into the weekend, the Chiefs will likely stick with Wright as their kicker for another game.

  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Could return for Week 15

Kansas City head coach Andy Reid said Wednesday that Butker (knee) has a chance to return from injured reserve to play Week 15 in Cleveland, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports. Butker will miss a fourth straight game this Sunday against the Chargers, but the kicker looks like he could be back with the Chiefs when first eligible next week. He required a meniscus trim on his left knee and seems to be recovering as expected. The Chiefs signed Matthew Wright off their practice squad Wednesday and will turn to him to handle kicking duties for a second consecutive game this weekend.

  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Recovering from meniscus trim

Butker is expected to return from injured reserve when first eligible Week 15 against the Browns after undergoing a meniscus trim of his left knee earlier this week, rather than a full meniscus repair, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reports. A full repair would have knocked Butker out for the rest of the season, but after requiring the minimally invasive meniscectomy procedure, he'll likely need 3-to-4 weeks to make a full recovery. Since Kansas City has already placed Butker on IR, he'll be required to miss at least four games, but assuming he experiences no setbacks in his recovery from the procedure to his non-kicking knee, he should be ready for action by mid-December. The Chiefs signed Spencer Shrader off the Jets' practice squad to serve as their kicker in the interim.

  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Has surgery, no timeline for return

Coach Andy Reid said that Butker underwent surgery on his injured left knee Friday and doesn't have a timeline for his return to action, Jesse Newell of The Kansas City Star reports. Reid confirmed that Butker hurt his knee in practice this week, resulting in his placement on injured reserve Friday. "(He) tried to go on Thursday," Reid told Charles Goldman of AtoZSports.com. "(He) wasn't able to do it." Reid also confirmed that Butker had a repair of the meniscus in his left knee, according to Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com. For as long as Butker is sidelined, Spencer Shrader will handle kicking duties for the Chiefs.

  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Makes only field-goal attempt

Butker made his only field-goal try and converted all three of his extra-point attempts during Monday's 30-24 overtime win versus the Buccaneers. Butker opened up the scoring Monday with a 40-yard field goal late in the first quarter, but Kansas City's next four scores came in the form of touchdowns. Despite the mostly uneventful game in Week 9, he's still an accurate kicker playing behind a good offense, so he'll remain a quality fantasy option in Week 10 versus the Broncos.

  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: No field goals in win

Butker made all four of his extra-point tries but did not attempt a field goal in Sunday's 28-18 win at San Francisco. Sunday's game was the Chiefs' first this season in which they did not attempt a field goal. Butker has been solid on the chances he has gotten thus far this year though, and he'll be kicking indoors in Week 8 at Las Vegas.

  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Misses first FGA of the season

Butker made both of his extra-point tries but missed one of two field-goal attempts in Sunday's 17-10 win over the Chargers. Butker's miss was a 65-yard attempt that came up short just before halftime, a kick that would have tied the game at 10-10 had it been successful. However, he was good from 37 yards out in the third quarter, bringing him to 8-for-9 on FGAs this season.

  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Three field goals Sunday

Butker missed one of two extra-point tries but made all three field goal attempts in a 22-17 win over the Falcons on Sunday. Butker just missed a PAT, a first for him since 2022, but he was otherwise perfect in the Week 3 victory. He connected from 53, 44, and 21 yards out, bringing him to 7-for-7 on the season on FGAs. Next week, Butker and Chiefs will travel to Los Angeles for a divisional matchup with the Chargers.

  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Hits game-winning field goal

Butker made both of his field-goal and extra-point attempts in Sunday's 26-25 win over the Bengals. Butker opened the Chiefs' scoring with a 19-yard field goal on the team's first drive of the game. He returned for another FGA on their last drive, with Kansas City trailing by two points when he connected from 51 yards out as time expired and secured a victory for Kansas City. Up next for the 29-year-old is a Week 3 matchup with the Falcons.

  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Nails both field goals vs. Ravens

Butker converted both of his field-goal attempts and all three of his extra-point tries during the Chiefs' 27-20 win over the Ravens on Thursday night. Butker made the most of his scoring opportunities Week 1, with both of his field goals coming from just over 30 yards out. The Chiefs' offense displayed some regained explosiveness versus Baltimore, due in part to a two-TD debut by rookie first-rounder Xavier Worthy, so Butker will remain a top fantasy asset at the kicker position heading into a Week 2 matchup against the Bengals.

  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Inks big extension

Butker has agreed to a four-year extension with the Chiefs, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Per Rapoport, Butker's deal -- which makes him the NFL's highest-paid kicker -- is a four-year, $25.6 million extension with $17.8 million in guarantees. The 29-year-old is coming off a 2023 regular season in which he made 33 of his 35 field-goal attempts en route to scoring 137 points in 17 games. While working behind Kansas City's Patrick Mahomes' helmed offense, Butker remains a premium fantasy kicking option ahead of the coming campaign.
