Hendricks underwent surgery on his broken right leg and dislocated ankle Wednesday, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Hendricks' operation was done at the University of Utah's Orthopedic Center, and it appears to have gone smoothly. The 20-year-old is a candidate to return to action at some point during the 2025-26 season. Coach Will Hardy reinforced Hendricks' future with the organization last week, expressing that the injury "doesn't take away anything he's done to this point. He's developed as a player and as a young man...this is far from over for him."... See More ... See Less

Jazz's Taylor Hendricks: Will undergo season-ending surgery
Hendricks will undergo surgery to repair the fractured right fibula and dislocated ankle on his right leg, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports. Hendricks' surgery date will be determined within the next 24-to-48 hours, and this procedure will sideline him for the remainder of the season. The second-year forward started Utah's first three games and led the team in steals per game (1.7), but he will spend the rest of the season in recovery.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Taylor Hendricks: Struggles with shot Saturday
Hendricks finished with 13 points (4-13 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, an assist and a block across 26 minutes in Saturday's 126-120 preseason loss to the Spurs. Hendricks had a rough showing from the field, but he still ended as one of three Jazz starters who scored in double digits in this loss Saturday. Hendricks is penciled in to start the season as Utah's starting power forward after a 2023-24 rookie year in which he averaged 7.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per contest across 40 regular-season appearances.... Jazz's Taylor Hendricks: Good to go
Hendricks (personal) will be a full participant in training camp, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Hendricks missed Utah's final Summer League game to tend to a personal matter, so his status for camp wasn't in any real doubt. Coach Will Hardy spoke highly of Hendricks during Media Day, and noted that the forward put on 21 pounds during the offseason.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Taylor Hendricks: Flirts with double-double
Hendricks recorded 20 points (9-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, a steal and a block across 29 minutes of Wednesday's 86-76 win over the Raptors in Summer League. Hendricks paced the Jazz in points and rebounds Wednesday, falling just one rebound shy of a double-double. The second-year forward had combined to score 11 points in his first two Summer League games in Las Vegas, so Wednesday's outburst was a much-needed bounce-back game. Hendricks started in 23 of his 40 appearances as a rookie and is slated to open the season as Utah's starting power forward.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Taylor Hendricks: Puts up 18 points in loss
Hendricks chipped in 18 points (7-13 FG, 4-6 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and two steals over 28 minutes during Tuesday's 129-113 loss to the Cavaliers. Hendricks has proven valuable amid Lauri Markkanen's (shoulder) absence, and he put together his second consecutive 18-point outing in the loss to Cleveland. Hendricks and Brice Sensabaugh were encouraging first-round hauls in the 2023 draft, and both players are reaping dividends as they take on increased roles at the end of the season.... See More ... Jazz's Taylor Hendricks: Out at least one week
The Jazz announced Tuesday that Hendricks has been ruled out for at least one week after an MRI confirmed a ligament sprain in his left big toe, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Hendricks suffered a left big toe injury against Washington on Monday and is slated for an extended absence. In his absence, Brice Sensabaugh and Luka Samanic are candidates to receive increased playing time. Hendricks will likely be evaluated ahead of a March 15 game versus Atlanta.... See More ... Jazz's Taylor Hendricks: Flirts with double-double
Hendricks ended with 10 points (3-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in 27 minutes during Thursday's 115-107 loss to the Magic. Hendricks has drawn four straight starts, averaging 9.8 points and 6.8 rebounds in 27.0 minutes per game during that stretch. The rookie's defensive production could be better, but he's been efficient from the field and displayed a competent three-point shot, draining multiple triples in back-to-back games.... See More ... Jazz's Taylor Hendricks: Returns to NBA
Utah recalled Hendricks from the G League's Salt Lake City Stars on Wednesday. Hendricks and Brice Sensabaugh were both elevated Wednesday morning and will presumably practice with the Jazz, who don't play until Thursday in Phoenix. Hendricks hasn't appeared in an NBA game since Jan. 12.... See More ... See Less -

The Jazz recalled Hendricks from the G League's Salt Lake City Stars on Wednesday, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Hendricks will be available for Wednesday's game versus the Nuggets. The rookie forward is averaging 5.3 points and 2.5 rebounds in 15.9 minutes across 11 NBA appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -

Jazz's Taylor Hendricks: Assigned to G League
The Jazz assigned Hendricks to the Salt Lake City Stars on Saturday, Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Hendricks has played just two minutes across Utah's first two games. Despite being selected ninth overall in the 2023 NBA Draft, it appears Utah wants to send Hendricks down to the G League to aid in his development.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Taylor Hendricks: Remains out Friday
Hendricks (hamstring) won't play in Friday's Summer League game against the Suns, Ben Anderson of KSL News Salt Lake City reports. Hendricks has yet to make his Summer League debut but is reportedly making progress in his recovery from a right hamstring strain. The rookie forward will likely be a primary bench contributor in the Jazz's frontcourt in 2023-24.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Taylor Hendricks: Nearing return
Hendricks (hamstring) is making progress with his injury rehabilitation and has participated in an on-court workout in Las Vegas, Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Hendricks has not taken the court for the Jazz due to a right hamstring strain. Even if he's unable to play in the remainder of Summer League, the No. 9 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft should be good to go for training camp.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Taylor Hendricks: Won't play against Clippers
Hendricks (hamstring) is out for Saturday's Summer League game versus the Clippers, Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Hendricks has yet to make his Summer League debut while dealing with a hamstring injury. The rookie forward's next chance to play is Monday's matchup with Minnesota.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Taylor Hendricks: Still out Wednesday
Hendricks (hamstring) has been ruled out for Wednesday's Summer League game against the 76ers. Hendricks continues to deal with a right hamstring injury, and he'll be sidelined for a second consecutive game to begin Summer League play. His next opportunity to suit up will be Thursday against the Grizzlies, but it's unclear when he'll be able to return.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Taylor Hendricks: Ruled out Monday
Hendricks (hamstring) will not play Monday against the Thunder, Sarah Todd of the Deseret News reports. Hendricks has been bothered by a right hamstring issue since June 29, and the Jazz are obviously going to be very cautious during these exhibitions. The ninth overall pick in the 2023 Draft will have a tough time breaking through the rotation in the early going next season, as recently-acquired John Collins will presumably garner a major role right away.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Taylor Hendricks: Drafted by Jazz at No. 9
Hendricks was selected ninth overall by the Jazz in the 2023 NBA Draft. At 6-foot-9, Hendricks fits the mold of a modern NBA power forward who can also slide up and play center. His ability to both defend the rim and space the floor makes him a unique prospect. Defensive versatility and floor-spacing ability will be his early-career calling cards. Hendricks may start at power forward out of the gate for Utah, but he could also come off the bench in a sixth-man capacity in both frontcourt spots. In his lone season at UCF, he averaged 15.2 points while hitting 1.8 threes at a 39.4 percent clip, also chipping in 7.0 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 0.9 steals per game.... See More ... See Less
