Royals' Hunter Renfroe: Lifts homer Monday
Renfroe went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's 4-1 win over the Marlins.
Renfroe's blast was his first in three games since he returned from a minimal stay on the injured list with a bruised toe. The outfielder has gone 8-for-25 (.320) in June, adding three homers and seven RBI across nine contests. While he's slashing just .198/.279/.373 on the year, his bat has started to come around, offering him a bit of security in a starting role in right field. Renfroe has added seven homers 27 RBI, 23 runs scored, 10 doubles and one stolen base over 197 plate appearances.

The 32-year-old resumed taking swings over the weekend and is back on the active roster after spending the 10-day minimum on the shelf with a bruised toe. Renfroe had a hot start to June prior to the injury as he went 7-for-18 with two doubles, two homers and six RBI in six games.

Royals' Hunter Renfroe: Starts swinging bat again
Renfroe (toe) resumed playing light catch last Wednesday and was spotted taking some swings on the field last weekend, MLB.com reports.
Renfroe was placed on the 10-day injured list June 11 with a bone bruise and stress reaction in his left big toe, but he's already starting to take some small steps forward in his recovery. Shortly after Renfroe was placed on the IL, the Royals estimated that the 32-year-old outfielder would be out for 2-to-3 weeks. He'll thus have a chance to make it back from the shelf before the end of June.

Royals' Hunter Renfroe: MRI reveals no fracture
MRI results revealed Wednesday that Renfroe does not have a fracture in his left big toe, Jaylon T. Thompson of The Kansas City Star reports.
Renfroe was initially diagnosed with a fractured toe after he fouled two pitches off his left foot during Monday's contest, but it now appears he managed to avoid a significant injury. It's unclear if the 32-year-old outfielder will be able to come off the IL when eligible June 21, but his expected return timeline has been significantly shortened nonetheless.

Royals' Hunter Renfroe: Moved to 10-day IL
Renfroe (toe) was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday.
Renfroe was removed from Monday's game after fouling two pitches off his left foot and he'll head to the injured list after being diagnosed with a broken big toe. In a corresponding move, the Royals called up Drew Waters from Triple-A Omaha. Dairon Blanco should also see some work in right field while Renfroe is sidelined.

Renfroe has been diagnosed with a broken left big toe, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
Renfroe was unable to continue Monday after fouling a pair of pitches off his left foot, and the team later revealed that he had suffered a toe fracture. Kansas City has yet to establish a timeline for his return, but Renfroe will almost certainly require a trip to the injured list to rehab. Dairon Blanco replaced Renfroe in right field on Monday while M.J. Melendez came in to play left, but the Royals could opt to promote Drew Waters from Triple-A as the corresponding move.
