Don Mattingly sticking with Justin Sellers at SS

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly told MLB.com on Tuesday that Justin Sellers will remain the starting shortstop while Hanley Ramirez is on the disabled list.

While Sellers is batting just .176 through 34 at-bats, Mattingly said his defense makes up for his lack of offensive production.

"I'm comfortable with Sells, especially defensively, we've gotten what we wanted," Mattingly said before Tuesday's game against the Padres. "Offensively, I shouldn't say I expect him to hit a little bit more. It's kind of, in a sense, you get what you expect. I think he can get better. I think he can improve."
