  • Packers' James Turner: Gets new NFC North home

Turner was claimed off waivers by the Packers on Thursday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

Turner inked a deal with the Lions as an undrafted free agent shortly after the 2024 NFL Draft, but he was ultimately waived earlier in the week. He will now stay within the division and relocate to Green Bay, where the Packers already roster two kickers in Anders Carlson and Greg Joseph. The former had an up-and-down season as a rookie in 2023 and will now have to compete against both Joseph and Turner for the kicking job entering the upcoming season.

  • Jack Podlesny: Dropped by Green Bay

The Packers waived Podlesny on Wednesday.

Podlesny agreed to a reserve/future contract with the Packers in January after going undrafted last spring, but the team has now decided to part ways with the 24-year-old kicker. With Podlesny getting waived, Green Bay's kicking competition will be between Greg Joseph and Anders Carlson, barring any outside additions prior to training camp.

  • James Turner: Let go by Detroit

The Lions waived Turner on Tuesday.

Turner linked up with Detroit as a UDFA shortly after the 2024 NFL Draft, but he'll now have to search for a chance to compete with another club. He converted 18 of 21 field-goal attempts and 65 of 66 PATs with Michigan last season.

  • Eddy Pineiro K | CAR

    Panthers' Eddy Pineiro: Attending minicamp

Pineiro (hamstring) is participating in practice Tuesday at June minicamp, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.

Pineiro, who missed the final two games of Carolina's 2023 season due to a hamstring injury and has remained away from offseason activities while seeking a new contract, is now present at team facilities and appears healthy. Undrafted rookie Harrison Mevis is also present as an option to take reps in mandatory minicamp. Pineiro is currently heading into the final season of his two-year, $4.1 million contract, and he converted 25 of 29 field-goal attempts across 15 games last year.

  • Browns' Lucas Havrisik: Gets let go

Havrisik was waived by the Browns on Tuesday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Havrisik had just joined Cleveland on May 20, but with fellow kickers Dustin Hopkins and Cade York under contract as well, the Arizona product was seemingly expendable. He'll now have to seek out a new opportunity

  • Ramiz Ahmed K | WAS

Commanders' Ramiz Ahmed: Gets scooped up

Ahmed signed a contract with the Commanders on Tuesday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

Ahmed made one NFL appearance with the Packers in 2022 and was last with Birmingham of the UFL, where he made 10 of his 13 attempted field goals. He is currently the one kicker on the Commanders roster after the team released Brandon McManus on Sunday.

  • Brandon McManus: Let go by Washington

McManus was released by the Commanders on Sunday.

McManus signed a one-year deal to join Washington in March, with his release occurring a week after reports that McManus was the subject of a civil lawsuit, per NFL.com. The Commanders don't currently have another kicker on their roster, which may change as soon as Monday.

  • Browns' Dustin Hopkins: Past hamstring injury

Coach Kevin Stefanski relayed earlier this week that Hopkins has recovered from the hamstring injury he sustained last December, Scott Petrak of BrownsZone.com reports.

The injury sidelined Hopkins for the Browns' last two regular-season games, as well as the team's playoff loss to the Texans. Per Petrak, Hopkins wasn't initially present for this week's voluntary OTAs, but once the kicker returns to the mix, he'll be set to lead a kicking corps that also includes Cade York and Lucas Havrisik.

  • Graham Gano K | NYG

Giants' Graham Gano: Kicking during OTAs

Gano (knee) participated in OTAs on Tuesday, per the Giants' official site.

Gano played in the first eight games of 2023 before landing on the IR in November due to a left knee injury that required season-ending surgery. He was back on the field doing kicking drills during OTAs on Tuesday. Gano finished the 2023 season having gone 11-for-17 on field-goal attempts while making all eight of his extra-point tries.

  • Lucas Havrisik: Loses spot

Havrisik was waived by the Browns on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Havrisik signed a reserve/future contract with Cleveland in January after the Rams waived him. He was expected to at least have the opportunity to compete with Dustin Hopkins (hamstring) and Cade York for the team's kicker job in 2024, but instead, he'll become a free agent once again.
