Thunder's Buddy Boeheim: Inks deal with OKC

The Thunder signed Boeheim to an Exhibit 10 deal Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Boeheim will get the opportunity to play for the Thunder's Summer League team this offseason. The 24-year-old appeared in 10 games for the Pistons last season, during which he averaged 3.4 points, 1.0 rebounds and 0.3 assists across 8.4 minutes per game.

  • Jayson Tatum PF | BOS

Celtics' Jayson Tatum: Agrees to historic extension

Tatum and the Celtics agreed to a five-year, $315 million supermax extension with a player option Monday, Chris Haynes of Turner Sports reports.

Tatum didn't win Eastern Conference Finals MVP or Finals MVP but was arguably the Celtics' best player during their championship run and has been rewarded with the largest contract in NBA history. He's still just 26 years old, and on top of being an NBA champion, Tatum has been named to three All-NBA First Teams and five All-Star Games, winning the 2023 All-Star Game MVP. The Celtics have Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Derrick White and Jrue Holiday locked up long term and are the early favorites to win the 2024-25 championship.

  • Aaron Holiday PG | HOU

Rockets' Aaron Holiday: Staying with Houston

Holiday and the Rockets agreed to a two-year, $10 million contract Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Holiday was one of the most coveted backup point guards on the market for contenders, so the Rockets will be thrilled to retain his services. In 78 appearances last season, Holiday averaged 6.6 points, 1.8 assists, 1.6 rebounds and 1.1 three-pointers in 16.3 minutes per game.

  • Warriors' De'Anthony Melton: Agrees to deal with Golden State

Melton and the Warriors agreed to a one-year, $12.8 million deal Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

The Warriors quickly pivoted to Melton after Klay Thompson agreed to a three-year contract with the Mavericks, although that deal hasn't been finalized yet. Melton struggled with a lingering back issue last season, but when healthy, he's an elite defender and a capable three-point shooter. In 38 regular-season games with the 76ers last season, Melton averaged 11.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.6 steals and 2.0 three-pointers.

  • Stanley Umude SG | DET

Bucks' Stanley Umude: Agrees to deal with Milwaukee

Umude (ankle) and the Bucks agreed to a two-way contract Monday, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.

The Pistons declined Umude's team option on June 29, so the Bucks acted quickly to scoop up the guard. Umude is unlikely to be in the Bucks' regular rotation, but he could be a long-term project for the franchise to develop. Umude missed the end of the 2023-24 campaign due to a hairline fracture in his right ankle, but he's presumably healthy after passing a physical to make his deal official.

  • Nicolas Batum PF | PHI

Clippers' Nicolas Batum: Agrees to deal with Clippers

Batum and the Clippers agreed to a two-year, $9.6 million deal Monday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Batum had a strong market in free agency including some reported interest from the Spurs, but the veteran opted to return to a familiar franchise. Batum spent four seasons with the Clippers before joining the 76ers in 2023-24, and he will provide the team with some quality depth at both forward positions despite his advanced age.

  • Josh Green SF | DAL

Hornets' Josh Green: Traded to Charlotte

Dallas traded Green to the Hornets as part of a three-team deal Monday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

With Klay Thompson joining the Mavericks as part of this deal, Green had to make way and landed in a very good spot for his development. As part of the rebuilding roster in Charlotte, Green could potentially take on a key role on the wings. Last season in Dallas, Green posted averages of 8.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 three-pointers over 57 regular-season games.

  • Mavericks' Klay Thompson: To join Dallas

Thompson will join the Mavericks on a three-year, $50 million deal as part of a three-team sign-and-trade, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports reported Monday.

Thompson narrowed his top two choices down to the Lakers and Mavericks after the Warriors and the sharpshooter mutually decided to go separate ways, so Dallas will be thrilled to pull off this blockbuster. While specifics are still trickling in, Josh Green will head to Charlotte as part of this deal. Thompson's contract includes a player option for the third season, and he'll provide Luka Doncic with some much-needed perimeter shooting as the Mavericks look to make that next step as a franchise after losing to Boston in the NBA Finals.

  • Derrick White SG | BOS

Celtics' Derrick White: Agrees to four-year extension

White and the Celtics agreed to a four-year, $125.9 million extension Monday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Retaining White was the top priority for the Celtics coming into the offseason, and they acted quickly to get this done. Included in this deal is a player option for the final year of the deal. White was instrumental on both sides of the ball during Boston's championship run, averaging 15.2 points, 5.2 assists, 4.2 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, 1.0 steals and 2.7 three-pointers over 73 regular-season games.

  • Delon Wright SG | MIA

Bucks' Delon Wright: Will join Milwaukee

Wright and the Bucks agreed to a one-year, $3.3 million contract Monday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

With this move, the Bucks have secured one of the top backup point guards on the open market. Wright will provide some relief minutes behind Damian Lillard, but the former is also capable of playing shooting guard as well. Wright's playmaking and defensive ability will boost Milwaukee's backcourt.
