Walls is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game at Kansas City.

Walls started the previous four games but will sit Wednesday after going 1-for-10 with three walks and five strikeouts during that stretch. Jose Caballero will take over at shortstop and bat eighth.

Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Seager (wrist) is feeling "a lot better" and will talk with the shortstop to see if he's doing well enough to play Wednesday against the Padres, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

The 30-year-old is currently absent from Texas' starting nine for Wednesday's contest, but there's apparently a chance he's a late addition to the lineup. Regardless of whether or not Seager ends up starting the game, it's an encouraging development for his availability going forward.

Wisely is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.

The lefty-hitting Wisely will dodge a matchup with Chris Sale on Wednesday. Nick Ahmed will play shortstop while Tyler Fitzgerald fills the keystone.

Seager (wrist) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against San Diego.

Seager will be held out of the starting lineup for a third straight contest despite having his X-rays come back negative Monday. Josh Smith will bat second and play shortstop Wednesday.

Tovar is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

Wednesday marks Tovar's third day off this season, as the 22-year-old yields to Aaron Schunk at shortstop. Tovar is slashing .276/.304/.459 with 12 home runs across 371 plate appearances.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts stated over the weekend that he may consider having Betts (wrist) play primarily at second base upon his return, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The consideration to shift Betts back to second base from shortstop is primarily due to the impressive performance of Miguel Rojas, who has played excellent defense, as usual, while adding a surprisingly potent bat (he's slashing .291/.337/.437 over 164 plate appearances). The versatile Betts is no stranger to second base; he played a career-high 70 games at the position last year after beginning the campaign in the outfield. Betts was then asked to move to shortstop ahead of 2024 despite never having logged time there in the majors prior to 2023, and he's performed adequately defensively despite a few hiccups. It remains to be seen if the Dodgers will ultimately pursue having Betts and Rojas form their middle infield for most games, and Roberts has time to think through that scenario since Betts remains several weeks away from returning. He threw and ran Tuesday, per the Associated Press, but hasn't yet swung a bat.

Arcia (tooth) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Giants.

Arcia is dealing with an abscessed tooth and will be held out of the starting lineup for a second straight game. Though it's unclear exactly when he'll be available to start, Arcia had the issue addressed Tuesday, so it's likely he'll be cleared in the coming days. Zack Short will bat ninth and play shortstop.

Hamilton is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

The lefty-hitting Hamilton is absent from the starting nine for the third time in the last four games, with Wednesday's contest being the first against a left-handed pitcher. Romy Gonzalez will play second base and Ceddanne Rafaela will play shortstop.

DeJong is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

The 30-year-old will get the night off Wednesday after making 11 consecutive starts at shortstop. Nicky Lopez will fill in for DeJong at short while Danny Mendick plays second base. DeJong owns a .731 OPS with 15 home runs across 290 plate appearances.

Lopez (undisclosed) is out of the starting nine for Wednesday's game against Boston.

Lopez was scratched from Tuesday's contest for unspecified reasons and will remain on the bench for Wednesday's contest. Instead, Vidal Brujan will bat seventh and fill the keystone.
