Draft Scouting Report

Rating: 79
Pro Comparison: Jarred Vanderbilt
Summary

Peavy played at three schools across five seasons, first at Texas Tech, then three years with TCU before wrapping up at Georgetown. A former top-50 prospect out of high school, Peavy finally found a place to flourish at Georgetown, albeit on a bad team. Still, his ascent in 2024-25 put him on the board as a viable second-round pick.

About
  • Named to 2024-25 All-Big East First Team
  • Averaged 17.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.3 steals in 32 games with the Hoyas
  • Shot 40% from 3-point range on 130 attempts, besting his 3-point accuracy by 9 percentage points from his previous personal best
Strengths
  • Physical attributes suggest he has sturdy enough body type, muscle development and athletic ability to have a chance at sticking in the NBA
  • Understands defensive spacing and is consistently aggressive as a face-up defender. Will be a top-half-of-the-league defensive player if he can make a roster
  • Doesn't truly excel in one area, but also has grown out of some of his bad habits after five years in college
Weaknesses
  • Skepticism remains about if he can continue to a higher level as a midrange and long-range shooter after one quality year
  • Foul shooting has never been solved, which is attached to the bullet point above. Peavy is a 60.6% shooter from the charity stripe after 159 games
Combine Data
  • 20-yard shuttle run: 3.06 seconds
  • Wingspan: 6 feet, 7.25 inches
  • Standing vertical leap: 30.5 inches
  • Standing reach: 8 feet, 5 inches
  • Lane agility: 10.90 seconds
  • Three quarter sprint: 3.13 seconds
  • Max vertical leap: 35.5 inches
