Wild's Quinn Hughes: Questionable for Game 1
Hughes (illness) will fly with the team for Game 1 in Dallas, according to Michael Russo of The Athletic.
Hughes missed Tuesday's game versus Anaheim, as the Wild chose to rest their outstanding defenseman ahead of the postseason. While Hughes flew with the team, his status for Game 1 is up in the air. The defenseman finished the 2025-26 regular season with seven goals and 69 assists in 74 games split between Vancouver and Minnesota. He quarterbacks the first power play and has two goals and 34 points with the man advantage this season. Consider him day-to-day at this time.

Wild's Jared Spurgeon: Practices Thursday
Spurgeon (rest) was part of the second defensive pairing during Thursday's practice session, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports, indicating that he'll be back in action for the start of the playoffs.
After resting in two of the final three games of the regular season, Spurgeon's participation in Thursday's practice signals that he should officially be back in action for the playoffs. Spurgeon logged six goals, 16 assists, 137 blocked shots and 82 hits while averaging 19:36 of ice time across 79 regular-season appearances this year.

Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Returns to usual roles
Kaprizov (rest) was on the top line and No. 1 power-play unit for Thursday's practice, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Kaprizov was given the Wild's last two games off in order to rest up for a postseason run. In his last seven outings, the Russian winger has found the back of the net seven times, including a pair of goals against the Stars on April 9. He'll need to continue to produce at that level in order to get Minnesota past Dallas in its first-round series.

Wild's Ryan Hartman: Participates in practice Thursday
Hartman (rest) participated in Thursday's practice session, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports, indicating that he'll be back in action for the start of the playoffs.
Hartman's availability for the start of the postseason isn't particularly surprising, as his absences in Minnesota's final two regular-season games were for rest purposes. Hartman generated 23 goals, 20 assists, 95 blocked shots, 64 hits and 48 PIM while averaging 16:45 of ice time across 76 regular-season appearances this year.

Wild's Marcus Foligno: Well rested for playoffs
Foligno (rest) was in attendance for Thursday's practice session, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
After sitting out the Wild's last two games, Foligno was back on the ice ahead of Game 1 versus the Stars. The veteran winger failed to reach the 20-point mark for the first time since 2018-19, in part due to the fact that he saw action in just 56 games this year. Without a role on the power play, combined with slotting into a spot in the bottom six, Foligno is unlikely to offer significant value in most postseason pools.

Wild's Brock Faber: Returns to practice
Faber (rest) was part of the top defensive pairing during Thursday's practice session, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports, indicating that he'll be available for the start of the playoffs.
Faber sat out Minnesota's final two regular-season games for rest purposes, but he was fully expected to be back in action for the start of postseason play. Faber appeared in 80 regular-season games this year, racking up 15 goals, 36 assists, 148 blocked shots, 39 PIM and 33 hits while averaging 24:41 of ice time.

Wild's Joel Eriksson Ek: At practice Thursday
Eriksson Ek (rest) was on the ice for Thursday's practice session, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Eriksson Ek sat out the final three regular-season games for the Wild, but he should be good to go for Game 1 in Dallas. The Swedish center was rolling offensively prior to his stint in the press box, racking up two goals and five helpers in his last seven appearances. He figures to jump right back into a second-line role and should feature with the man advantage as well.

Wild's Matt Boldy: Back at practice Thursday
Boldy (rest) skated on the second line during Thursday's practice session, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports, indicating that he should be back in action for the start of the playoffs.
Boldy rested in Minnesota's final two regular-season games, but his participation in Thursday's practice session signals that he should officially be available for Game 1 of the first round. Boldy made 76 regular-season appearances this year, logging 42 goals, 43 assists, 60 hits, 58 blocked shots and 30 PIM while averaging 20:34 of ice time.

Wild's Mats Zuccarello: Back on first line
Zuccarello (rest) was practicing in his normal first-line role Thursday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Zuccarello should be ready to go when the playoffs kick off, considering he sat out the Wild's last three games. Despite featuring in just 59 contests this year, the veteran winger still managed to get over the 50-point threshold for the fifth straight season while chipping in 21 power-play points.

Wild's Cal Petersen: Recalled from minors
Petersen was called up from AHL Iowa on Thursday, according to Michael Russo of The Athletic.
Petersen will be the Wild's third goaltender in the playoffs, as Iowa finished in the basement of the AHL's Central Division and did not make the playoffs. Petersen had a 13-16-2 record with a 2.73 GAA and an .896 save percentage in 33 AHL games this season.

Wild's Ben Dexheimer: Agrees to entry-level deal
Dexheimer signed a one-year, entry-level contract with the Wild on Wednesday.
Dexheimer's contract will begin in 2026-27, but he'll finish the season with AHL Iowa on an amateur tryout agreement. The 23-year-old scored seven goals and 28 points in 38 appearances as a senior with the University of Wisconsin in 2025-26.

Wild's Rieger Lorenz: Inks two-year deal
Lorenz agreed to terms on a two-year, entry-level contract with Minnesota on Wednesday.
Lorenz is fresh off winning a second National Championship with Denver, having racked up 16 goals and 18 assists in his senior campaign. Selected by the Wild in the second round of the 2022 NHL Draft, the 22-year-old winger's deal will start in 2026-27. Look for Lorenz to finish up the year with AHL Iowa.

Wild's Robby Fabbri: First point with new team
Fabbri scored a goal on four shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Ducks.
Fabbri hasn't gotten many chances to play with the Wild since he was claimed off waivers from the Blues in early March. He got a look late in the season while the Wild rested some regulars. Fabbri ends the regular season with five points, 30 shots on net, 44 hits and a minus-4 rating over 21 appearances, and he may not play often during the playoffs.

Wild's Danila Yurov: Scores in win over Anaheim
Yurov scored a goal in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Ducks.
Yurov found the back of the net in each of the final two games of the regular season. He occupied a first-line role while the Wild rested key veteran players down the stretch. However, he will likely drop down the depth chart when the playoffs begin. The 21-year-old rookie recorded 27 points (12 goals, 15 assists) in 73 regular-season appearances.

Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: Earns win vs. Anaheim
Wallstedt stopped 35 of 37 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Ducks.
Wallstedt has been alternating starts with Filip Gustavsson down the stretch. The 23-year-old Wallstedt has played when called upon this campaign. He has won four of his last five starts, going 4-1-0 with a 1.82 GAA and a .936 save percentage over that span. Wallstedt is a viable option to see playing time in the playoffs if Gustavsson struggles.

Wild's Ben Jones: Sent back to Iowa
Jones was reassigned to AHL Iowa on Wednesday.
Jones appeared in Minnesota's final two regular-season games. He skated in a career-high 28 NHL outings during the 2025-26 regular season, racking up a goal, two assists, 58 hits, 11 blocked shots and a minus-10 rating while averaging 8:50 of ice time. He also has 12 goals and 30 points in 35 AHL contests this campaign.

Wild's Hunter Haight: Reassigned to minors
Haight will report to AHL Iowa, Minnesota announced Wednesday.
Haight completed the NHL regular season with a goal and two points in nine appearances with Minnesota. He also has 18 goals and 32 points in 51 outings with Iowa, which has not finished its regular-season schedule. Iowa won't make the playoffs, so Haight won't get much more work in the minors this campaign.

Wild's Nicolas Aube-Kubel: Returns to minors
Aube-Kubel was reassigned to AHL Iowa on Wednesday.
Aube-Kubel finished the NHL regular season with two assists, six PIM, seven hits and five blocks in six appearances with Minnesota. He also has 15 goals, 37 points and 53 PIM in 60 outings with AHL Iowa in 2025-26. Iowa's regular season hasn't concluded, but the AHL club won't make the playoffs.

Wild's Zach Bogosian: Still out after road trip
Bogosian (lower body) won't play Tuesday versus the Ducks, Dylan Loucks of The Hockey News reports.
Bogosian will miss his sixth straight game to end the regular season. Unlike many of the Wild's other absences, Bogosian is still battling an injury. Even when healthy, it's unclear if he'll unseat Jeff Petry for a third-pairing job in the playoffs.
