Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Left out to dry
Gustavsson allowed six goals on 52 shots in Saturday's 6-0 loss to the Senators.
Gustavsson received no help in any capacity -- the Wild mustered just 16 shots on net while giving up chances in spades. The Senators put the game to rest with three goals during a five-minute power play in the third period after Ryan Hartman's match penalty at the end of the second. Gustavsson had won his previous two starts, but before that, he went five straight games allowing at least four goals. The 26-year-old is now 20-11-3 with a 2.66 GAA and a .913 save percentage through 35 starts, but he's allowed 54 goals over 17 games since the start of December. The Wild's next game is Tuesday in Boston.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Concedes once in win
Gustavsson allowed just one goal on 33 shots in Wednesday's 3-1 victory over Toronto.
Gustavsson has bounced back from a difficult mid-January to secure wins in each of his last two outings while posting a 1.51 GAA. The 26-year-old netminder has seen the bulk of the workload for the Wild this season and should continue to do so ahead of veteran Marc-Andre Fleury, who will get the starting nod against the Habs on Thursday in the second half of a back-to-back set.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Gives up two goals in win
Gustavsson gave up two goals on 20 shots in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Blackhawks.
The Wild led 3-0 after two periods, and while the Blackhawks made it interesting in the third, Gustavsson was able to protect the lead. He earned his first win since Jan. 4 -- the 26-year-old had allowed at least four goals in five straight outings while going 0-4-0 over that span. Gustavsson was one of the top goalies through November, but injuries to key players in the Wild's lineup have taken a toll on his numbers, though the team has gotten closer to full health over the last week. He's now at a 19-10-3 record with a 2.61 GAA and a .913 save percentage through 33 starts. The Wild have a back-to-back up next, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Gustavsson start Wednesday in Toronto while Quebec native Marc-Andre Fleury makes one last start in Montreal on Thursday.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Starting in Chicago
Gustavsson will be between the road pipes Sunday versus the Blackhawks, according to Tracey Myers of NHL.com.
Gustavsson will draw the start in the second half of a back-to-back Sunday -- Marc-Andre Fleury got the nod in Saturday's 5-4 loss to Calgary. Gustavsson has struggled through six appearances in January, posting a 1-4-0 record, .863 save percentage and 4.29 GAA. He'll look to snap his four-game losing streak against a Blackhawks club that sits second-to-last in the NHL with 2.60 goals per game in 2024-25. The Swedish netminder is 4-0-1 with a 1.79 GAA and a .935 save percentage across five career outings against Chicago.

During that four-game stretch, the 26-year-old netminder has gone 0-4-0 with a 4.80 GAA and an .853 save percentage. Gustavsson's overall season stats continue to look good, as he's gone 18-10-3 with three shutouts, a 2.63 GAA and a .913 save percentage. Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Available for Monday
Gustavsson (illness) is expected to return to the lineup in Monday's road game versus Colorado, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports.
Due to Gustavsson's absence, Dylan Ferguson was Marc-Andre Fleury's backup in Saturday's 6-2 loss to Nashville. Ferguson returned to AHL Iowa on Sunday. Gustavsson was going to start Monday's matchup initially, but it's unclear if his illness changed those plans. He has posted a record of 18-9-3 with a 2.58 GAA and a .914 save percentage across 31 appearances this season.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Continues to struggle
Gustavsson allowed five goals on 36 shots in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Oilers.
Gustavsson has leaked 19 goals over his last four outings, going 0-3-0 in that span. It's been an awful confluence of tough opponents for the Wild right as they're battling numerous injuries throughout the lineup, especially on defense. It would be unfair to blame Gustavsson for those circumstances, but fantasy mangers may want to pick and choose their spots with the goalie for a while. He's now 18-9-3 with a 2.58 GAA and a .914 save percentage over 31 starts. The Wild's next game is at Nashville on Saturday.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: In goal versus Oilers
Gustavsson will get the starting nod at home against Edmonton on Wednesday, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports.
Gustavsson has been struggling of late, going 0-2-0 in his last three appearances while sporting a disastrous 5.81 GAA and .829 save percentage. Despite his underwhelming performances, the 26-year-old backstop will start for the ninth time in the Wild's last 11 outings. Still, if Gustavsson stumbles again, the team will have to consider giving more opportunities to Marc-Andre Fleury, who is currently riding a three-game winning streak.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Yields four goals in loss
Gustavsson stopped 33 of 37 shots in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Golden Knights.
Gustavsson has not risen to the occasion in his last two starts, allowing a total of 10 goals on 64 shots to the Avalanche and Golden Knights. The 26-year-old netminder has seen a starter's workload when healthy this season, so it's possible he may just need a little extra rest to get on track, and that could happen with Marc-Andre Fleury playing well lately. Gustavsson is down to 18-8-3 with a 2.50 GAA and a .917 save percentage through 30 starts. The Wild have another tough matchup next on the schedule, as they host the Oilers on Wednesday.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Slated to start against Vegas
Gustavsson is expected to start Sunday's road matchup against the Golden Knights, Wild radio broadcaster Joe O'Donnell reports.
Gustavsson got the night off Saturday against San Jose, but he'll unsurprisingly return to the net for the second half of the back-to-back set. The 26-year-old has been inconsistent over three appearances this month, going 1-1-0 with a 4.16 GAA and .848 save percentage, and he could have some difficulty against the Golden Knights, who are tied for fourth in the NHL with 3.40 goals per game.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Struggles against Avalanche
Gustavsson stopped 21 of 27 shots in Thursday's 6-1 loss to the Avalanche.
Gustavsson had to take this one on the chin -- Marc-Andre Fleury dressed as backup despite battling an illness because the Wild also have two injured goalies at AHL Iowa and couldn't make a recall work with limited cap space. This was a second poor outing in a row for Gustavsson, who has allowed 10 goals on the last 45 shots he's faced. He dropped to 18-7-3 with a 2.44 GAA and a .918 save percentage over 29 appearances, but he's also started seven of the last eight games since returning from a lower-body injury. The Wild have a back-to-back up next with road games in San Jose on Saturday and in Vegas on Sunday.
