Ojulari (toe) signed a one-year, $4.5 million deal with the Eagles on Monday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. Ojulari, a 2021 second-round pick from Georgia, spent the first four years of his career with the Giants before signing with the Eagles on Monday. A torn ligament in his big toe sidelined him for New York's final six games of the 2024 season, but he was productive when healthy, recording 28 total tackles, including 6.0 sacks, across 380 defensive snaps. Injuries have been a concern throughout Ojulari's career, as he's missed 22 games over the past three seasons. However, he's still managed 22.0 sacks over the last four years and will likely serve as a rotational edge rusher for the Eagles in 2025.... See More ... See Less

Giants' Azeez Ojulari: Toe injury won't require surgery
Ojulari sustained a ruptured ligament in his big toe in Week 12 versus the Buccaneers, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports. Although it kept Ojulari out for the final six games of this season, it doesn't look like the injury to his toe will have any impact on how he begins the new league year in 2025. He is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.... See More ... See Less -
Giants' Azeez Ojulari: Officially placed on IR
The Giants placed Ojulari (toe) on injured reserve Tuesday, Matt Citak of the team's official site reports. Ojulari will be forced to miss the Giants' next four regular-season games due to a toe injury he suffered against the Buccaneers this past Sunday. The earliest Ojulari can return is Week 17 against Indianapolis on Sunday, Dec. 29. In the 10 regular-season games prior to his injury, the 2021 second-round pick logged 28 tackles (12 solo), including 6.0 sacks, and one fumble recovery.... See More ... See Less -
Giants' Azeez Ojulari: Set to go on injured reserve
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Tuesday that the Giants are planning on placing Ojulari (toe) on injured reserve. Ojulari suffered a toe injury during the Giants' 30-7 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday. The injury isn't severe enough to require surgery, but the 24-year-old linebacker will be sidelined for multiple weeks and will wear a walking boot to aid in the healing process. Should he be placed on injured reserve before Thursday's game against the Cowboys, the earliest Ojulari would be allowed to return from IR would be Week 17 against the Colts on Sunday, Dec. 29. Patrick Johnson will be the Giants' rotational outside linebacker behind starters Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux due to Ojulari's injury.... See More ... See Less -
Giants' Azeez Ojulari: Still not practicing Tuesday
Ojulari (toe) did not participate at the Giants' walkthrough practice Tuesday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports. Ojulari suffered a toe injury during Sunday's game versus the Buccaneers, and he hasn't been able to practice yet ahead of Week 13. If he's not able to manage a full practice first, he'll likely carry an injury designation into Thursday.... See More ... See Less -
Giants' Azeez Ojulari: Sidelined to start week
Ojulari (toe) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice report, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports. Ojulari suffered the injury in Sunday's game against the Buccaneers and was unable to finish the contest. With the Giants playing the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, the team is on a short week, which will limit the Georgia product's recovery time and may not bode well for his chances to play. Ojulari's practice status over the next two days will offer further clarity on his chances of suiting up versus Dallas.... See More ... See Less -
Giants' Azeez Ojulari: Won't return vs. Tampa Bay
Ojulari (toe) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Colts, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports. Ojulari went to the locker room after suffering a toe injury and will not return. With Ojulari done for the day, Kayvon Thibodeaux, Brian Burns and Patrick Johnson all will see an uptick in snaps at outside linebacker.... See More ... See Less -
Giants' Azeez Ojulari: Questionable to return Sunday
Ojulari (toe) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. The linebacker did not record a stat before exiting. Ojulari has 28 tackles (12 solo), including 6.0 sacks, and a fumble recovery in 2024. The edge rusher was reduced to more of a rotational role Sunday with Kayvon Thibodeaux back from his wrist injury after a five-game absence.... See More ... See Less -
Giants' Azeez Ojulari: Moves to active roster
Ojulari (ankle) moved from injured reserve to the active roster Saturday, Field Yates of ESPN reports. The linebacker is still listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys but is expected to play, per Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com. Ojulari has been on injured reserve for a month and also missed two games with a hamstring injury. The third-year pro has started all three contests he's been available to play in and recorded two tackles.... See More ... See Less -
Giants' Azeez Ojulari: Moved to IR
The Giants placed Ojulari (ankle) on injured reserve Saturday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports. Ojulari sustained an ankle injury in Week 5 against the Dolphins. He missed two games this season with a hamstring injury and will be forced to sit out for at least the next four games. Ojulari will be eligible to return against the Cowboys on Nov. 12.... Giants' Azeez Ojulari: Returning Monday
Ojulari (hamstring) has no injury designation ahead of Monday night's game against Seattle. The 2021 second-round pick has been nursing a hamstring injury that held him out of the Giants' past two games, but it seems as if he's had time to move past the issue. Ojulari's return should definitely help a struggling New York pass rush, as the 23-year-old recorded 13.5 sacks over his first two years in the NFL.... See More ... See Less -
Giants' Azeez Ojulari: Gets in full practice Saturday
Ojulari (hamstring) was a full participant in Saturday's practice, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports. Ojulari's full participation in Saturday's session indicates that he should be good to go for Monday's matchup against the Seahawks. He missed the last two games with a hamstring issue and could be on a snap count to avoid aggravating that injury. He was limited to 30 defensive snaps in Week 1 against the Cowboys.... See More ... Giants' Azeez Ojulari: Still not at full health
Ojulari (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice Thursday. Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Ojulari hasn't played since suffering his hamstring injury in Week 1, but he appears to be nearing a return. According to Dan Duggan of The Athletic, the Georgia product was doing 2-on-2 pass rush drills at full speed during practice, which could be a sign he'll likely be ready to return Monday against the Seahawks.... Giants' Azeez Ojulari: Doubtful for Week 2
Ojulari (hamstring) is doubtful for Sunday's game in Arizona, Art Stapleton of The Record Sports reports. Ojulari played more than half of New York's defensive snaps in the 40-0 Week 1 loss to the Cowboys, but he registered only one tackle. If the starting linebacker sits as expected Sunday against the Cardinals, Jihad Ward would likely step into a larger role.... See More ... See Less -
Giants' Azeez Ojulari: Now dealing with hamstring injury
Ojulari (hamstring) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday ahead of Sunday's game at the Cardinals, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports. The severity of the issue is unclear, so it's not obvious whether there's any risk of Ojulari missing game action. If he does miss time, it could mean additional snaps for the veteran Jihad Ward.... Giants' Azeez Ojulari: Questionable for divisional round
Ojulari (quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Eagles, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports. Ojulari was limited for the third consecutive practice Thursday due to a bruised quadriceps, which he sustained during Sunday's wild-card win over Minnesota. The 23-year-old did say Wednesday that his availability and effectiveness would largely come down to pain tolerance. While the significance of this injury is still unclear, the second-year edge defender did appear notably hampered by this issue during Thursday's sessions, per Leonard. Ojulari logged 5.5 sacks this regular season despite being limited to seven appearances due to separate calf and ankle injuries, which provides some confidence in his ability to play through this quad issue against Philadelphia.... Giants' Azeez Ojulari: Hurts ankle Saturday
Ojulari injured his ankle during Saturday's game in Minnesota, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Prior to his departure in the second quarter, Ojulari had two tackles, including a sack of Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins. It marked his fourth consecutive contest with at least a half sack.... Giants' Azeez Ojulari: Makes big impact in return
Ojulari recorded a sack and a fumble recovery Sunday in a Week 13 tie with the Commanders. Ojulari was activated from injured reserve Saturday after missing seven games with a calf injury. He made only one tackle in his return, but it was a very impactful one, as he got to Taylor Heinicke on Washington's first drive of the third quarter and forced the QB to fumble as he was set to throw. Ojulari then recovered the ball, leading to a New York touchdown. He was on a limited snap count Sunday after the long layoff, but Ojulari should see increasing opportunities moving forward given the impact he has made when active this season.... See More ... Giants' Azeez Ojulari: Ready to play vs. Commanders
The Giants activated Ojulari (calf) from their injured reserve list Saturday ahead of Sunday's game versus Washington, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports. After sitting out the Giants' last seven games, it appears Ojulari is poised to suit up in Week 13. The 2021 second-rounder will probably step into a rotational role on a Giants defensive line set to face a Commanders team that's won three in a row coming into Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Giants' Azeez Ojulari: Hits injured reserve
Ojulari (calf) was placed on IR on Saturday, Field Yates of ESPN reports. Ojulari has been dealing with a calf issue since late August. He returned to make his season debut Week 3 against Dallas but aggravated the injury Week 4 and hasn't played since. He'll now be required to sit out at least four games, so his next chance to play won't come until Nov. 24 on the road against the Cowboys.... See More ... See Less
