  • Rams' Alaric Jackson: Back from suspension

The NFL reinstated Jackson from his two-game suspension Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Jackson was suspended for two games in late August for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, but he'll be back in action for the Rams' Week 3 matchup with the 49ers. The Rams' offensive line is dealing with a plethora of injuries after just two weeks, but Jackson's return to left tackle will represent a major boost.

  • Rams' Alaric Jackson: Suspended two games

Jackson has been suspended two games for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, Tyler Dragon of USA Today and Cameron DaSilva of USA Today report.

Jackson, who has been sidelined with an ankle injury of late, was projected to be the Rams' starting left tackle this season. He's now slated to miss the team's first two regular-season games and will be eligible to return to action in Week 3 against the 49ers. In his looming absence, Joe Noteboom is a candidate to fill in for Jackson.

  • Rams' Alaric Jackson: Week-to-week with ankle injury

Head coach Sean McVay told reporters after Saturday's practice session that Jackson is considered week-to-week after rolling his ankle in practice last Thursday, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.

Jackson was initially labelled as day-to-day after rolling his ankle, but McVay relayed that he doesn't want to rush the 26-year-old lineman back to practice. Jackson, who is slated to serve as the Rams' starting left tackle, will likely sit for Sunday's preseason opener against the Cowboys, but he could also be kept out of the following game against the Chargers on Aug. 17. In Jackson's absence, AJ Arcuri and Joe Noteboom will have an opportunity for more reps at left tackle with the first-team offense.

  • Rams' Alaric Jackson: Signs new deal

Jackson signed his free agent tender from the Rams on Monday.

Jackson had the second-round tender placed on him March 12 after he started 15 games for the Rams at left tackle in 2023. The 25-year-old allowed only 1.0 sacks last season and should remain the player protecting Matthew Stafford's blindside again in 2024.

The Rams tendered restricted free agent Jackson at the second-round level Tuesday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.

Revamping the offensive line and keeping it together has been an offseason priority for the Rams after they re-signed RG Kevin Dotson before then striking a free-agent deal with LG Jonah Jackson.

  • Rams' Alaric Jackson: Should return Tuesday

Jackson is expected to rejoin the Rams on Tuesday after missing Sunday's win over the Giants due to a "family situation," Greg Beacham of the Associated Press reports.

The left tackle was also questionable for the matchup with the Giants due to a thigh injury. Jackson has started all 14 games he's played in this season, and his return to the team is a positive first step toward starting again in Sunday's regular-season finale against the 49ers.
