Stewart stepped in for the injured Jimmie Ward (hamstring) this past Sunday before suffering a shoulder injury of his own. The 28-year-old safety has appeared in eight games for the Texans this year, recording 22 total tackles and one forced fumble. Stewart could very well end up on injured reserve in the near future.

Stewart exited the game after coming in to replace Jimmie Ward, who suffered a hamstring injury. The former had his arm in a sling after the game and appears in danger of missing time moving forward. Stewart joined the Texans in 2022 and played as a backup safety while also contributing plenty on special teams. In total, he tallied 41 tackles and one pass defended to go along with one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.

Stewart was forced to exit Houston's Week 16 win over Tennessee after taking a blow to the head that resulted in a concussion.
