  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Plays just 16 minutes

Sarr supplied 10 points (3-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and one steal across 16 minutes during Sunday's 119-118 win over Miami. Sarr wasn't utilized much in the season finale with Tristan Vukcevic getting an extended look off the bench. As a rookie, Sarr ended up making 67 regular-season appearances, hitting 39.4 percent from the field and 67.9 percent from the line with averages of 13.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.7 steals, 1.5 blocks and 1.6 three-pointers in 27.1 minutes per contest. He finished just outside the top-150 in nine-category formats on a per-game basis.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Excellent two-way performance

Sarr racked up 20 points (8-17 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 12 rebounds, six assists and three blocks across 32 minutes during Tuesday's 104-98 loss to the Pacers. Sarr recorded a double-double for the first time since March 21, when the rookie recorded 19 points and 10 rebounds in a 120-105 loss to the Magic. Sarr might not be racking up as many double-doubles as his playing style would suggest, but the rookie remains a solid contributor on both ends of the court. He's scored in double digits in nine of his previous 11 outings, averaging 15.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.6 blocks per game in that stretch.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Attempts 17 shots

Sarr ended with 16 points (7-17 FG, 2-9 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists and one block across 32 minutes during Sunday's 124-90 loss to the Celtics. This was Sarr's ninth game of his rookie campaign with at least 17 shot attempts. It's no secret that his offensive game is very raw, as he's hitting 39.6 percent from the field this season. The Wizards are clearly giving him the green light, presumably to speed up his development. His defense has been tremendous, though, as he's averaging 1.5 blocks and 0.7 steals on the season.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Balanced showing in defeat

Sarr ended with 10 points (4-16 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, six assists and one steal over 32 minutes in Thursday's 109-97 loss to Orlando. Sarr struggled shooting the ball in Thursday's contest but still finished as one of four players in double figures in scoring while concluding second in assists in a losing effort. Sarr set a new season high in assists, and he has now tallied at least five rebounds and five assists in seven outings.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Struggles with shot in loss

Sarr finished Saturday's 115-112 loss to the Nets with 12 points (4-12 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, one assist and three blocks in 25 minutes. Neither Sarr nor Jordan Poole posted good numbers in this loss, and Sarr's woes came mainly in the scoring column, as he made just 33.3 percent of his shots while missing all five of his three-pointers. One subpar performance won't affect Sarr's status as one of the best rookies in The Association this season, however, and he should aim to bounce back when the Wizards take on the Heat on Monday, although he'll have a tough matchup against the frontcourt of Kel'el Ware and Bam Adebayo in that contest.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Struggles from field Saturday

Sarr logged eight points (3-10 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 27 minutes during Saturday's 122-103 loss to the Knicks. Sarr has been the Wizards' best player in the second half of the season, but the rookie didn't have a good performance in this match, as he struggled to deal with Karl-Anthony Towns on both ends of the court. This was the first time Sarr scored in single digits since March 11 and the third time he's done it since the beginning of March, a span in which he's averaging 16.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 blocks per contest across 12 outings.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Thriving from three-point range

Sarr notched 19 points (7-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 10 rebounds and two assists across 28 minutes during Friday's 120-105 loss to Orlando. Sarr was productive on both ends of the court and recorded a double-double for the third time over his last eight appearances, so the progress the rookie has been making of late is noticeable. One area in which he's improved massively is his outside shooting, and he's getting more comfortable playing on the perimeter. In fact, Sarr has drained two or more threes in five games in a row, a span in which he's averaging 22.8 points per game while shooting an impressive 47.4 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Leads Washington in victory

Sarr recorded 34 points (12-28 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 5-5 FT), six rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal across 32 minutes during Saturday's 126-123 victory over the Nuggets. Sarr provided a full stat line while contributing a team- and career-high mark in points. Moreover, the rookie made a career-high five three-pointers during an efficient outing from beyond the arc. The big man has improved as a three-point shooter since the All-Star break, during which he has shot 37.7 percent from downtown on 5.9 attempts per game. Additionally, Sarr has now reached double-digit points in seven of his last nine appearances, averaging 16.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.4 blocks across 27.7 minutes per contest in that nine-game span.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Top scorer in balanced outing

Sarr notched 19 points (7-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, three assists and four blocks in 30 minutes during Thursday's 129-125 win over Detroit. Sarr led Washington on both ends of the floor Thursday, pacing all Wizards in scoring and blocks in a well-rounded performance. Sarr has tallied at least 15 points and four blocks in two contests this season. Over his last five appearances, Sarr has averaged 14.8 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.2 blocks in 28.0 minutes per game.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Nabs double-double in Toronto

Sarr ended with 10 points (5-16 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 0-2 FT), 14 rebounds, three assists and one block across 28 minutes during Saturday's 118-117 victory over the Raptors. The second overall pick in the 2024 Draft collected the seventh double-double of his career, and his first since Jan. 23. Sarr has had something of a stop-start rookie campaign, but in four games since returning from a sprained ankle, the 19-year-old has averaged 12.5 points, 6.5 boards, 3.0 assists, 1.3 threes, 0.8 steals and 0.8 blocks as he teases his multi-category fantasy potential.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Puts up 21 points

Sarr closed Wednesday's 125-122 victory over Utah with 21 points (8-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal over 29 minutes. Sarr reached the 20-point mark for the first time since Feb. 21, when he notched 22 points and seven boards in a loss to the Bucks. The rookie Frenchman has been struggling with injuries lately, and he's been limited to just five appearances since the beginning of November. The lack of availability limits his upside a bit.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Modest output in return

Sarr (ankle) tallied 10 points (4-11 FG, 2-7 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and two steals across 26 minutes Saturday in the Wizards' 113-100 win over the Hornets. Sarr made his return to action after missing the previous three games with a left ankle sprain. He took back his spot in the starting five and ended up seeing the larger share of playing time at center, with Richaun Holmes moving into a backup role and covering the other 22 minutes. The Wizards will continue to prioritize Sarr when he's healthy enough to play, and while he's already proven to be a strong source of defensive stats with averages of 1.5 blocks and 0.7 steals per contest, the rookie's poor efficiency will make his scoring more volatile from game to game.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Iffy for Saturday

Sarr (ankle) is listed as questionable for Saturday's matchup against the Hornets. Sarr is in jeopardy of missing his third consecutive contest due to a lingering left ankle sprain. The rookie big man has missed 11 of the club's last 13 outings due to the ankle injury, with his two appearances coming directly before and after the All-Star break. If Sarr is sidelined once again, Richaun Holmes should draw another start.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Won't play Wednesday

Sarr (ankle) is listed as out for Wednesday's game against the Trail Blazers. Sarr will miss his third straight contest due to a left ankle sprain, though he's likely still day-to-day since he was carrying a questionable tag heading into the day. Richaun Holmes is expected to draw another start at center, with Tristan Vukcevic backing him up.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Iffy for Monday

Sarr (ankle) is questionable for Monday's game against the Nets. After missing eight straight games, Sarr returned to action during Washington's final game before the All-Star break. He also played Friday versus Milwaukee, posting 22 points, seven rebounds and two steals in 26 minutes. However, the rookie was back in street clothes Sunday, the first half of a back-to-back set, and he's in danger of missing another contest Monday. If he's sidelined again, Richaun Holmes would likely draw another start.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Won't play Sunday

Sarr (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Magic. After missing eight straight games, Sarr returned to action during Washington's final game before the All-Star break. He also played Friday versus Milwaukee, posting 22 points, seven rebounds and two steals in 26 minutes. However, the rookie will be back in street clothes Sunday, the first half of a back-to-back set. Sarr will likely return to action Monday versus Brooklyn.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Scores career-high 22 points

Sarr amassed 22 points (8-19 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 2-6 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals in 26 minutes during Friday's 104-101 loss to Milwaukee. The Wizards suffered a tight loss to the Bucks on Friday, but Sarr made a strong case to be considered the best player on the floor. He led all scorers with 22 points and also filled the stat sheet and finished three boards shy of a double-double. This 22-point output was a new career-high mark for the rookie big man, who returned from an eight-game absence due to a left ankle sprain.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Questionable for Wednesday

Sarr (ankle) has been listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Pacers. After missing the last eight games for the Wizards with a left ankle sprain, Sarr might return to the floor Wednesday against Indiana. The rookie big man is averaging 11.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.5 blocks per game, shooting 39.7 percent and 30.7 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Still out due to ankle injury

Sarr (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Hawks, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Sarr will miss a sixth straight game due to a sprained left ankle, and his next opportunity to play will be Monday against the Spurs. Richaun Holmes played a season-high 31 minutes during the Wizards' 134-124 loss to the Cavaliers on Friday, and he should continue to see heavy minutes at center due to Sarr's absence.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Now listed as available Wednesday

Sarr (ankle) has been upgraded to available for Wednesday's game against the Nets. Sarr hasn't played since spraining his ankle Jan. 27 against the Pistons, and he was initially listed as out for Wednesday's game, which would've marked a fifth straight absence. However, the rookie has been surprisingly upgraded to available after Washington traded Jonas Valanciunas to the Kings on Wednesday afternoon. Sarr will likely face restrictions, so Richaun Holmes may still see a sizable role off the bench.
