Lakers' Austin Reaves: Scores 23 in win over Boston
Reaves chipped in 23 points (7-13 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds and six assists across 33 minutes during Thursday's 117-96 victory over the Celtics.
Even though LeBron James and Anthony Davis stole the show with their impressive performances Thursday, there's no question Reaves made his presence felt in the backcourt -- both as a scorer and playmaker. He's been thriving as the team's starting point guard in recent weeks, and the numbers back that up. He's averaging 18.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.1 steals per game since the beginning of January.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Off injury report
Reaves is not on the Lakers' injury report after leaving late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Clippers, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
Reaves banged knees with a Clippers player and asked to be subbed out, but he is still expected to play Tuesday against the Wizards. Reaves being completely left off the injury report heading into Tuesday's game is an encouraging sign that this injury will not hinder him moving forward.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Banged up after Sunday's win
Reaves checked out of Sunday's 116-102 loss to the Clippers with 3:40 remaining in the fourth quarter after banging knees with another player, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports. He said after the game that he expects to play in the Lakers' next contest Tuesday versus the Wizards.
Reaves had a subpar outing prior to leaving the contest, finishing with 14 points (4-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three assists, two rebounds and one block while turning the ball over five times in 34 minutes. Though the injury scare resulted in him asking out of the game early, Reaves seems to have avoided anything serious. Fantasy managers will still want to keep close tabs on Reaves' status heading into Tuesday.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Dishes out 14 dimes in win
Reaves produced 14 points (5-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, 14 assists and three steals over 35 minutes during Wednesday's 117-108 victory over the Heat.
Reaves bounced back from his poor performance against San Antonio by posting his seventh double-double of the campaign. Reaves has seen an uptick in production as of late, averaging 19.6 points, 8.8 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 37.1 minutes across his previous 10 outings.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Poor shooting display
Reaves contributed 12 points (4-13 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and eight assists across 33 minutes during Monday's 126-102 loss to the Spurs.
Reaves ended just two assists away from recording a double-double, and that shouldn't be surprising since he's been excellent as a playmaker. However, fantasy managers won't be happy with his dismal shooting performance after ending with more shots than points scored. Despite the shooting woes, which aren't very common with Reaves, he should remain one of the Lakers' most reliable fantasy options due to his role as the team's primary playmaker as well as his usage rate.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Game vs. Hornets postponed
Reaves and the Lakers will not play Thursday's game against the Hornets, as the matchup has been postponed due to the ongoing fires in the Los Angeles area, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Double-doubles Sunday
Reaves logged 21 points (6-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 6-7 FT) and 10 assists over 41 minutes during Sunday's 119-115 loss to Houston.
Reaves continues to play at a high level for the Lakers, and this was the fifth time he reached the 20-point mark in his last six appearances. He's been thriving as a primary playmaking option as well, dishing out at least 10 assists five times in that six-game stretch. During that span, Reaves averaged 23.8 points, 10.5 assists and 6.7 rebounds per contest.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Posts 20 points in victory
Reaves accumulated 20 points (6-18 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven rebounds and six assists across 39 minutes during Friday's 119-102 win over Atlanta.
The D'Angelo Russell trade solidifies Reaves' hold on a starting role, and he's proving his worth with nightly contributions in the backcourt. Although the move away from Russell should also benefit Dalton Knecht and Shake Milton, Reaves should be the primary beneficiary down the stretch.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Double-doubles in win
Reaves recorded 15 points (5-15 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 11 assists, eight rebounds and two steals over 36 minutes during Thursday's 114-106 win over the Trail Blazers.
Reaves finished with double-digit points and assists for the fourth game in a row, racking up a game-high 11 assists in the contest. The 26-year-old struggled with efficiency in the win, though over his last five outings, he has shot 47.5 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from downtown. In that five-game span, Reaves has averaged 22.8 points, 9.8 assists, 8.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals across 38.2 minutes per contest.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Comes close to triple-double
Reaves produced 35 points (11-20 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 12-13 FT), nine rebounds, 10 assists and one steal across 38 minutes during Tuesday's 122-110 loss to the Cavaliers.
Reaves finished just one rebound shy of a triple-double, and he's been in outstanding form recently. Since posting a triple-double in the Christmas win over the Warriors, Reaves has racked up 87 points, 36 assists and 25 rebounds over his last three contests. He's also scored at least 25 points in four of his previous six appearances. Firmly entrenched as the Lakers' third-best player behind Anthony Davis and LeBron James, Reaves ended December with averages of 22.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 7.6 assists per game.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Dishes out career-high 16 assists
Reaves logged 26 points (9-16 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 5-8 FT), six rebounds and 16 assists over 43 minutes during Saturday's 132-122 win over the Kings.
The Lakers were without LeBron James (illness) for this matchup, allowing Reaves to embrace a bigger role in the playmaking department, and he responded by delivering a career-best mark in dimes. Reaves has notched double-digit assists in his last two outings, but that hasn't reduced his scoring numbers, as he has provided 25 or more points in three of his previous five appearances as well. Through seven outings in December, Reaves is averaging 20.3 points, 7.3 assists and 5.9 rebounds per game.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Triple-double in Christmas win
Reaves ended with 26 points (8-20 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 10 rebounds, 10 assists and one steal across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 115-113 victory over the Warriors.
It was the first triple-double of the season for Reaves, and the 12th of his career. The boards and dimes were both season highs for the fourth-year guard, and he's been performing at a high level since returning from a five-game absence to begin December due to a pelvic contusion. Over his last six contests, Reaves is averaging 19.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 2.7 threes and 1.2 steals.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Pours in 25 points
Reaves supplied 25 points (7-14 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 8-9 FT), five rebounds, five assists and three steals over 35 minutes during Thursday's 113-100 win over the Kings.
Reaves recorded his third-highest scoring total of the season during the victory, and his prolific scoring is keeping D'Angelo Russell and Dalton Knecht on the bench. Coach JJ Redick's current choice to run with Max Christie at off-guard seems to benefit Reaves, who is a more seasoned scorer and far more consistent then Christie. A combo of Reaves and Knecht may become a more frequent occurrence in the future, which is a scheme that may curb Reaves' production somewhat.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Scores 19 points Sunday
Reaves accumulated 19 points (6-15 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), two rebounds, eight assists and two steals across 36 minutes during Sunday's 116-110 victory over the Grizzlies.
Reaves finished just two assists away from posting a double-double in this tight win over Memphis, and he remains the Lakers' third-best option on offense behind Anthony Davis and LeBron James. That role should give Reaves a decent floor on most games, and he also delivers value in peripheral stats due to his two-way contributions. Reaves has scored over 18 points in the two games he's featured in since returning from a five-game absence to start December due to a pelvic injury.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Scores 18 points in return
Reaves (pelvis) finished with 18 points (6-16 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and five assists in 30 minutes during Friday's 97-87 loss to Minnesota.
In his return from a five-game absence due to a pelvic contusion, Reaves was sharp from beyond the arc, but a 2-for-8 showing from two-point range took a bigger night off the table. Reaves still produced well in the rebounds and assists columns to atone for the poor shooting, and he finished second on the Lakers in usage with a 26.4 percent rate, trailing only Anthony Davis (31.2 percent). Fantasy managers should expect Reaves to drop to third in the pecking order if LeBron James (foot) is able to put an end to his two-game absence Sunday versus the Grizzlies.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Upgraded to available
Reaves (pelvis) is available for Friday's game against the Timberwolves, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports.
This isn't a surprise, as Reaves was upgraded to probable earlier Friday and was trending in the right direction toward returning in this contest. Reaves is expected to handle his regular workload in the backcourt in his return from a five-game absence, likely pushing Gabe Vincent to the bench.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Now expected to play Friday
Reaves (pelvis) is deemed probable for Friday's game versus the TImberwolves, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Reaves has been upgraded from questionable to probable Friday after missing the Lakers' last five games due to a pelvic contusion. While Reaves seems on track to return to action against Minnesota, it wouldn't be surprising for him to operate on a minutes restriction.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Iffy for Friday
Reaves (pelvis) is questionable for Friday's game against the Timberwolves, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports.
Reaves has been upgraded to questionable after a five-game absence due to a pelvic contusion. The 26-year-old was a partial participant during Wednesday's practice, and it appears that he is trending toward a return to game action. If Reaves is unable to play Friday, Gabe Vincent and D'Angelo Russell are candidates for an increased role.
