  • Angels' Gustavo Campero: Activated and sent to Triple-A

The Angels activated Campero (ankle) from the 10-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Salt Lake City.

Campero has been on the shelf since he tweaked his left ankle May 6. However, he's been reinstated from the injured list after a brief rehab assignment. The 27-year-old will yield his spot on the active roster, going back down to Salt Lake City, where he's slashing .339/.400/.509 in 126 plate appearances this season.

  • Angels' Taylor Ward: Absent from lineup

Ward is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Baltimore.

Ward will get a rare night off Friday, missing out on the starting nine for the first time since April 30. The left-fielder hasn't had a multi-hit game since May 22 and is batting 9-for-63 with four homers and a 32 percent K rate over 18 games during that stretch. LaMonte Wade, Jo Adell and Jorge Soler will fill the outfield from left to right.

  • Angels' Shaun Anderson: DFA'd by Halos

The Angels designated Anderson for assignment Friday.

Anderson will lose his spot on the 40-man roster as part of a slew of roster moves Friday. The 30-year-old allowed nine runs on 16 hits in 10.2 innings with the Angels this season while logging a 5.74 ERA in 42.1 innings at Triple-A Salt Lake.

  • Angels' Sam Bachman: Officially recalled

The Angels recalled Bachman from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.

As expected, Bachman will join the 26-man roster in place of Shaun Anderson, who was designated for assignment. Bachman hasn't appeared in an MLB game since 2023, and he logged a 0.79 ERA with an 11:9 K:BB this season with Salt Lake City.

  • Angels' Christian Moore: Officially called up

The Angels selected Moore's contract from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.

Moore, the Angels' first-round pick in 2024, will make his MLB debut Friday, batting ninth and playing second base. The 22-year-old slashed .350/.424/.575 at Salt Lake City in 92 plate appearances and will get an opportunity to seize an everyday role at the keystone with the Halos.

  • Angels' Shaun Anderson: Departing big-league roster

Anderson is expected to be removed from the active roster Friday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

  • Angels' Sam Bachman: Call-up expected Friday

The Angels are expected to call up Bachman ahead of Friday's game at Baltimore, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Bachman started the season on the injured list due to thoracic outlet syndrome and was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake City once he was activated in mid-May. He has dominated at Triple-A, allowing one earned run in 11.1 innings with 11 strikeouts, although he's also issued nine walks. He's expected to take Shaun Anderson's spot in the Angels' bullpen.

  • Angels' Matthew Lugo: Back to minors

Lugo was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday.

Lugo was promoted to the majors June 2 but made only one start since. He'll now head back to the minors, where he should get more regular playing time.

  • Angels' Christian Moore: Set for MLB debut

The Angels plan to select Moore's contract Friday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

Moore was selected in the first round by the Angels in 2024 and has risen through their minor-league system quickly. He has excelled at Triple-A Salt Lake in 2025, slashing .350/.424/.575 across 92 plate appearances. Moore figures to start every day at second base and hit in a prominent spot in the lineup.

  • Angels' Christian Moore: Looking ready at Triple-A

Moore is slashing .350/.424/.575 with four home runs, three steals and a 27.2 percent strikeout rate in 20 games for Triple-A Salt Lake.

In something of a surprise move, the Angels sent Moore to pitcher-friendly Double-A Rocket City to begin the season, where he logged a .234/.342/.323 slash line with one home run, five steals and a 27.4 percent strikeout rate in 34 games. He has been much closer to the player fantasy managers stashed to begin the year since getting to Triple-A, even if his .462 BABIP and extreme hitting environments are partially propping up his numbers. Given that the Angels are currently mixing in Luis Rengifo (-1.3 fWAR in 60 games) and Scott Kingery (-0.2 fWAR in six games) at second base, Moore could get the call to the majors any day now.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Homers again Wednesday

Adell went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the A's.

Addell's homer proved to be the difference in the Angels' win -- he launched a two-strike fastball from Osvaldo Bido 422 feet to extend the lead to 6-3 in an eventual one-run victory. The 26-year-old Adell has been on a tear at the plate recently, going 6-for-17 (.353) with four home runs in his last five games. He's boosted his slash line to .223/.296/.473 with 13 homers, 34 RBI, 23 runs scored and two steals across 203 plate appearances this season.

  • Angels' Reid Detmers: Earns second save

Detmers earned the save in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the A's, striking out two in a perfect ninth inning.

With Kenley Jansen unavailable after pitching back-to-back days, Detmers was tasked with protecting a one-run lead against the top of the A's batting order in the ninth. The left-hander was up to the task, retiring the side on just 10 pitches while striking out a pair. Detmers has impressed in a high-leverage role recently -- he's now held opponents scoreless in 11 straight innings, allowing just six hits while striking out 18 in that span. Detmers has two saves on the season while lowering his ERA to 5.22 with a 1.53 WHIP and 37:13 K:BB across 29.1 innings.

  • Angels' Kyle Hendricks: Earns win, quality start

Hendricks (4-6) earned the win Wednesday over the A's, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out three.

Hendricks did a good job limiting the damage Wednesday despite allowing four extra-base hits. The Angels' offense broke out for six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, lining up the veteran right-hander for his second straight win. He's covered at least five frames in each of his past eight starts and has a 4.50 ERA and 1.29 WHIP during that span. Hendricks sports a 5.20 ERA through 13 starts (71 innings) this season with a 1.32 WHIP and 44:21 K:BB. He's currently lined up to face the Yankees on the road in his next outing.

  • Angels' Logan O'Hoppe: Sitting for second time in series

O'Hoppe is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Travis d'Arnaud will start behind the plate Wednesday while O'Hoppe rests for the second time in the series after also sitting out Monday's 7-4 win. Since May 25, O'Hoppe has gone 3-for-38 with 13 strikeouts, so the Angels could end up turning the catcher position into more of a timeshare until O'Hoppe returns to form at the plate.

  • Angels' Scott Kingery: Sitting after three straight starts

Kingery is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Luis Rengifo will shift over from third base to second base Wednesday, but Kingery covered the keystone in each of the Angels' previous three contests and could serve as the primary option at the position until one of Yoan Moncada (knee) or Chris Taylor (hand) returns from the injured list. Since getting a call-up from Triple-A Salt Lake on May 28, Kingery has gone 2-for-16 with a double, a walk and a run over six games with the Angels.
