  • Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Back from IL, as expected

The Blue Jays activated Bichette (calf) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Bichette will skip a rehab assignment and rejoin the floundering Blue Jays following a minimum 10-day stay on the IL. He'll bat leadoff Tuesday against the Red Sox. Isiah Kiner-Falefa had been handling shortstop while Bichette was on the shelf but now will slide back to third base.

  • Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Remains on track to return Tuesday

Bichette (calf) went through a full workout Monday and remains on track for activation from the 10-day injured list when first eligible Tuesday, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

Bichette's placement on the IL earlier this month with a right calf strain seemed to be precautionary more than anything else and he's slated for a minimum absence. He will resume everyday shortstop duties upon activation, pushing Isiah Kiner-Falefa back to third base.

  • Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Resumes baseball activities

Bichette (calf) took ground balls, ran the bases and hit in the batting cage Friday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

He looks to be on track to return from the injured list once eligible Tuesday and should ramp up his workload over the weekend. While Bichette has been sidelined, Isiah Kiner-Falefa has drawn most of the starts at shortstop.

  • Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Lands on injured list

The Blue Jays placed Bichette on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to June 15, with a right calf strain.

The 26-year-old hasn't seen the field since Friday due to the calf issue and will be sidelined for at least another week after being diagnosed with a strain. According to Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca, manager John Schneider expects Bichette to return from the injured list when first eligible June 25. Isiah Kiner-Falefa is starting at shortstop Tuesday and could operate as Toronto's primary option there for the immediate future, and Orelvis Martinez was called up and should also see infield action while Bichette is sidelined.

  • Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Could be available off bench Monday

Blue Jays manager John Schneider said that Bichette (calf) could be available off the bench for Monday's game against the Red Sox, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Bichette is out of the lineup for the third consecutive game while he works his way back from a right calf injury, but Schneider suggested that the shortstop is trending in the right direction and is scheduled to do "more hitting, baserunning, agility stuff" during a pregame workout. If Bichette responds well to those activities, the Blue Jays could call on him to make a pinch-hitting appearance in Monday's contest. Even if the Blue Jays opt to stay away from Bichette for another day, he would still seem likely to avoid a trip to the injured list and could be back in the lineup as soon as Tuesday.

  • Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Held out again Monday

Bichette (calf) remains out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox.

Bichette will miss out on a third straight start as he battles a right calf injury. He had reported improvement with his condition Sunday, so Bichette should have a good chance at avoiding a stint on the injured list. In Bichette's continued absence Monday, Isiah Kiner-Falefa will start at shortstop again.

  • Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Improving, but iffy for Monday

Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Bichette is improving in his recovery from a right calf injury, but the skipper declined to reveal whether the shortstop was available off the bench for Sunday's 7-6 win over the Guardians, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports. "Hopefully it's not too much longer," Schneider said.

Bichette missed out on a second consecutive start Sunday due to the injury, and Schneider's comments offered no assurance that the 26-year-old will be back in the lineup Monday versus the Red Sox. Isiah Kiner-Falefa has manned shortstop for the past two games in Bichette's absence, opening up one start apiece for Ernie Clement and Addison Barger at third base.

  • Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Remains out of lineup Sunday

Bichette (calf) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

He was able to play through it for a few days, but this is now a second straight absence for Bichette due to right calf soreness. It's uncertain whether he's available off the bench. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will draw a start at shortstop with Ernie Clement at third base.
