  • Rangers' Jacob deGrom: Fans nine in seven strong innings

DeGrom didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against the Yankees after allowing two runs on three hits and one walk in seven innings. He struck out nine.

DeGrom got 20 whiffs while continuing to put a shaky beginning to the season in the rear-view mirror, as he's now fanned at least seven in five of his last seven starts. The star right-hander has tossed at least five innings while giving up two runs or fewer in each of those seven outings, dominating to the tune of a 1.66 ERA and 49:6 K:BB. DeGrom will try to keep the good times rolling next week versus a hot Blue Jays offense that has a .782 OPS over their last 19 games.

  • Rangers' Jacob deGrom: Wins pitching duel

DeGrom (4-1) allowed five hits and one walk while striking out seven over eight shutout innings to earn the win over the Astros on Thursday.

DeGrom turned in a vintage performance while battling Hunter Brown in a pitching duel. A Jake Burger home run was all the support deGrom needed to secure his fourth straight win. He's allowed two runs or less in six straight starts while racking up a fantastic 40:5 K:BB across 36.1 innings in that span. For the season, deGrom is sporting a 2.29 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 53:11 K:BB across 51 innings through nine starts. He's projected for a tough road outing versus the Yankees next week.

  • Rangers' Jacob deGrom: Strikes out 10 in win

deGrom (3-1) earned the win against the Tigers on Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk with 10 strikeouts over five innings.

deGrom surrendered a pair of solo homers but was otherwise dominant, racking up 21 whiffs on 90 pitches. The 36-year-old has won three straight contests while yielding two earned runs or fewer in each of his past five starts. He'll carry a 2.72 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 46:10 K:BB across 43 innings into a home matchup with the Astros next week.

  • Rangers' Jacob deGrom: Earns easy win

DeGrom (2-1) allowed a run on three hits and two walks over five innings Sunday, striking out three and picking up a win against Seattle.

The lone run against deGrom came in the third frame on an RBI groundout from Jorge Polanco, but the Rangers immediately answered back with a six-run inning. It was deGrom's second straight win after beginning the year 0-1 through five starts. He tossed 59 of 89 pitches for strikes Sunday and generated 11 whiffs, including six with his fastball. His ERA dropped to 2.61 with a 36:9 K:BB through 38 innings. However, DeGrom has failed to complete six innings in five of his seven outings this season. He's lined up to start in Detroit next weekend.

  • Rangers' Jacob deGrom: Dominates in six shutout innings

DeGrom (1-1) earned the win Tuesday against the Athletics after allowing four hits and no walks in six scoreless innings. He struck out seven.

The two-time Cy Young Award winner found himself in vintage form Tuesday, producing 16 whiffs while delivering his first scoreless outing since his first start of the season. While he did toss a season-low 65 pitches, the oft-injured deGrom's reduced workload was likely a byproduct of the Rangers taking a commanding 12-0 lead in the sixth inning. After a shaky first three starts of the year, during which he conceded four homers, the right-hander has a sparkling 1.47 ERA and 20:1 K:BB over his last three appearances (18.1 innings). DeGrom's next start is set to come this weekend at home against the hard-hitting Mariners, who entered Tuesday ranked third in MLB in home runs (42).

  • Rangers' Jacob deGrom: Fans six in no-decision

DeGrom didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Athletics after allowing two runs on six hits and no walks in 5.1 innings. He struck out six.

DeGrom was able to keep the ball in the yard at hitter-friendly Sutter Health Park, and this was his second start of the year in which he didn't lend a free pass. The star right-hander also induced 12 whiffs Thursday. The Rangers are being careful with the oft-injured deGrom's workload, as he's reached the 90-pitch threshold in just one his first five outings. DeGrom holds a strong 3.33 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 26:7 K:BB across 27 innings ahead of his next scheduled appearance, currently set to come at home against these same Athletics.
